“ARE WE SURE THIS WILL WORK!?” Chris just screams to me. I understand though. We hold onto Narin who sprouts wings and flies… no joke. SHE IS ANGEL! And yeah… I really didn’t think this through… AT ALL! But it isn’t like I can just go, right? Aerial assault is how we roll today… that’s why we approach the Sivelia Headquarter at nightfall. Concealment is a requirement here.
“So, are we here to kill or just capture Sivelia?” Narin asks. She is surprisingly calm about all of this, isn’t she?
“Capture is more preferable, but kill is definitely more satisfying right?” I said. With disdain, I always hate Sivelia… since he is also the person who has made our family miserable since the start… I’m gonna make you pay for every bit of transgression you have made.
“So… what about the other guy?” Chris asks. He probably meant Hammer… you know? That hammer guy? Yeah, he never stated his real name, ever. Always a codename… What a mysterious guy. Anyhow.
“He said he will find his way from the bottom” I said. Chris immediately turned his head to me.
“NEKO!? HE IS GOING TO—”
“No, I don’t think so.” Narin cut Chris off. “I think he could very well hold off dozens of security staff if he wanted. I mean, have you seen how he dealt with all 3 nine-tail-foxes? I think he could beat me in an instant even if I’m in angel form. He is a monster, let me tell you.” She said, with seriousness in her tone.
She didn’t praise anyone willy-nilly… he must be that good. But I only see him as a… dork? I mean, yes he is well built and is probably very strong. But that was it for me. Narin probably sees something I don’t. Well, it doesn’t matter. As long as he is good enough and doesn't die, I think that’s the best.
I felt like my… thinking is a bit… off as of late. Somehow, there is a bloodlust in me that… I didn’t hate… why?
At least, I have to be calm. I will be fine. I have to be fine…
As we approach the building, we can actually see how bright it is.
Sivelia has always been… a jerk… and a narcissist… What a joke. He is just bad… Not to mention, he is always a greedy bastard. Such… arrogant.
Narin lands us on top of the headquarters then vanishes her wings. It isn’t something big. And it is quite dark. So this is good. Compared to places like the helipad, this is much better.
“Now, should we get going?” I asked. Readying my equipment, I started to check for entrance.
A door opened, I ready my rifle. Is someone here!? Ready to take a shot, I pointed to the door.
A man came out and got a knife to the throat. God, I’m gonna pretend I didn’t see that. Narin… at least be more tactful… As he fall over, cover his throat that bleeding profusely, he is dead right in front of us.
“Oi, have you reached the tower yet?” A voice comes from his walkie-talkie. “We got a report of an unusual sighting on top of the tower. We need confirmation. Have you reached the tower yet, recruit?”
He is a new guy… huh… And they already knew of our approach… Fine, let’s dance.
“Chris, you go with Narin, I’ll rampage a bit.” Put up a mask, I check my weapons once again. I don’t want it to fail on me when I’m working, okay?
“You sure, Neko-chan?” Narin asks… please, don’t sound like you are that scared. I know you would wipe everyone here if I let you go alone. Chris being a bit airhead is a great counterbalance to Narin super aggressiveness. Me… well… I’m not binding myself to anything right now. Whatever, I just need to get this done. As painful as it was, I’ll be sweet… merciful death.
“Yes.” I said. “I’ll be fine. I have a score to settle anyway… Or, you two can go rampage and I’ll go for Sivelia, your call.” I sternly look at both for them, who took a step back a bit.
“Neko, we’ll take care of Sivelia. You go for the distraction.” Chris nervously said. I then went down the stairs. While they go somewhere else. As I rush down the stair, I'm forced to stop...
What... is this feeling within me...
The bloodlust... it never been this bad...
Calm myself, I slowly walk down. That is when I reach half way down a certain floor...
Several people were waiting for me with a gun drawn. “You do not want to take another step.” Someone who looks like captain of this group spoke out. “Allow yourself to be arrested and you will not be hurt.” He said with a commanding tone…
Commanding… me?
“You dare… commanding… me?” I ask… with a sickeningly sweet smile I ask. With a tone of sweet little girl I ask. For whatever the reason, I’m feeling myself heating up. It… almost felt like I’m watching myself getting controlled by something… something resembling me… but not.
“If you take a step we’ll shoot!” He shouted. Panic settled into his peer. As I felt increasingly separated from myself. As if something slowly swallows me whole. With great displeasure, I put my hand on my face, a red fan manifested, covering my mouth from their view. As they were panicking, I simply said…
“Try me.” A rush of adrenaline overwhelmed me… or is it something else. I rush into their formation, as they try to shoot and remain at distance. But at that point, I’m no longer myself. It all happened so fast… too fast.
As the blood dripped from my hand, I realized… I didn’t even shoot a single bullet… my hand… it has grown a claw to tear these men apart.
I looked at the well beside me, a silhouette of something resembling me stood there. That… wasn’t me.
A pair of fox ears, a fluffy tail, a pair of claws, I can only see a kitsune* within myself… As everything settled down, there were only corpses… and beautiful red blood that stains the bland, white, metallic hall. Everything was silent now… so silent…

“You should be ashamed. To be born an Inhuman scum.” A voice ringing from the speaker. An old man's voice… Sivelia… “You should be ashamed that you were even born at all, Takarada.” He said with great disdain.
… so that was it, huh…
You never saw me as a human anyway, huh…
Even after every you put my family into…
Even after countless sacrifices…
Even after my Brother nearly die for you…
You’ll never see me as a human being… huh…
(Let the rage consume you.)
The voice rings in my head.
(Let me kill everyone.)
…
I guess… only this once…
With rage in my heart…
I'm no longer who I used to be…

- Christin R. Rosak - Not far from Neko -
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The sound of gunfire stops… is Neko done? I hope she is okay…
We move away from the rooftop. There is another unused stair Narin can break into… that's already done. Now…
Narin continues walking toward the main stairs. As I watch her back, we don’t know how much of the distraction Neko actually makes.
And we also don’t know where that hammer guy is right now. If it happens to be that the hammer guy is at the bottom floor then we might have a two way distraction… that would be great. But we still need to move fast.
“Narin, are you sure you know where he is?” I ask. I wanted to be as sure as possible. I’m not the type to risk it for the biscuit. That is Yuki’s way… not mine.
“I know. He is too old even for Siam people. He already has a lot of health problems. He has to stay here most of the time, with several of his personal doctors. And I actually bet he is watching us. Isn’t it, old man?” Narin turns her up. I look where she looks, there is CCTV where she looked. Ah, so we have been found since the beginning then.
A harsh, coarse voice of an old man rang through the speaker. “You younglings are the disgrace of this world, you inhuman scum.” He said with a disdain. “*coughing* You two… false angel and son of wyrm. You two should be burning in hell *coughing*”
“You should die already, old man. You got too old now.” Narin said calmly. “Please prepare your deathbed, you want it your way, don’t you?” Threateningly she walks forward to the main stairs.
“You are the stain of this world. I’ll… what…—” The speaker was cut off, presumably something happened. Whatever it was, Narin just booked it.
“Wait for me!” I shouted and followed her. Main stair was quite far away from the unused stair that we used. She just slid down the railing… and she kept going like that! What the heck!?
As I tried to run to catch her, something caught my eyes. A girl with fox ears and a fox tail… cover in blood. For the moment I want to help her, but upon thinking that… the dreadful feeling fills my entire body… as she steps forward toward me, I realize behind her are corpses laid around the hallway… and she doesn't have any wounds on her at all.
And then I realized another thing… that thing that walked toward me… is Neko…
“Hey… Neko… are you okay?” I ask, nervously. She isn’t someone to be messed with. And that isn’t a hollow statement… she will kill without any hesitation. During our first mission, I still remember the scene of her killing even the security… I… don’t want to trifle with her. She is a death sentence. But yet… I felt like I couldn't leave.
“Neko, if you are okay, please say so.” I plead. She shifts from walk to run, with a ferocity of feral animals, she runs toward me. I jump up the railing and slide down. It is a lot harder than you might expect. She follows fast… way faster than need to be!
“Chris! Where… what are you doing!?” Narin screams. I jumped off on her floor then ready my rifle back toward the stairs. She is coming…
I take a shot. At Neko… god may have mercy on her.
She was shot, staggered. I ready my next shot when she unleashes a scream… or maybe it is a wailing… a wailing of a wounded animal. And with that wailing, a shockwave so powerful I staggered back.
After that, she was silent.
“Chris!? What happened!?” Narin asks, scared.
“Like hell I know!” I ready my gun once again. She vanishes away, only to appear in front of me, with her palm already at my forehead.
“Shit.” I blurted out, as the force hit me. Thrown me across the hallway. With no balance at all, I spin and roll on the floor… a lot. Scrape me up real good… and… my head hurt so much.
“DO NOT TRY TO STOP ME AGAIN!” She screams, as she walks forward, simply forgetting that Narin was basically right beside her. That’s good… she didn’t harm Narin who was frightened to the point she froze in place.
As Neko continues to walk forward, I crawl aside, outside of her path. She walks the way… to a certain room where she is about to open, when the door bursts open in front of her. Pushing her to the wall and on to the ground.
“Target Secure. Get him out of here. I’ll deal with her.” Hammer guy, who burst out of the door pushed Sivelia… on the hospital bed, toward me…
“Dude! I’m down!” I shouted! That’s when Neko pushed away the door that was on top of her. Her fury is… palpable… to say the least. And that door was a heavy duty steel door!
1 HOW DID HAMMER BURST THROUGH IT!?
And 2, HOW DID NEKO COME OUT UNSCATHED!?
Nevertheless, she survived that and was pissed!
But the hammer guy blocked her from doing anything to Sivelia.
“Nope, you dance with me.” He said, as she started her barrage of assault.
I quickly stand up and push the bed away, toward Narin. Who is still in shock and daze.
“Narin! Quick! We need to get out!”
“But…” In daze, she tries to protest.
“NOW!” I shouted. Bring her back to her senses. She then helped me push the hospital bed away from the sound of Hammer guy and Neko fighting…
When we reach the elevator, I push the first floor button. Come on… come on! Open! It's probably on the first floor, right!? It's gonna take some time… but how would I know we had that time!
Come on… COME ON!
“STOP PLAYING!” Neko screams once again. “I’m gonna kill him!” She shrieks. She wants to kill Sivelia that much, huh. It isn’t like I don’t understand, but we are supposed to take him alive first!
Hammer guy doesn’t seem to be struggling though. Weaving and dodging while using his hammer sparingly. He IS professional, I believe it now.
As I waited for the elevator, the hammer guy finally swung his hammer against Neko… so strong she flew all the way to us, and we were on a separate side of the building!
Coughing out the blood, she finally calmed down… with her vulpine feature vanishing away, she finally slept… or should I say, knocked unconscious. I…
“Job’s done. Now, let’s get out of here.” Hammer guy comes up and picks up unconscious Neko, piggyback style. Then he just walks into the elevator which just so conveniently arrives for him. “Well, are you guys coming?” He asks. I just… have exactly no word for this guy. I already thought Yuki is a Mary Sue… but this guy is on a whole ‘nother level.
“Narin, let’s go.” I cart the hospital bed to the elevator. It is quite wide, they probably expect to have a hospital bed rode down the elevator, because it is too wide for a normal elevator!
Narin follows me into the elevator, still in shock about everything.
Hammer guy then pushed the first floor button, as the door closed, I let out a sigh of relief. Things should be over, for now.
I reach for my ear. There is a microphone. “Chief, we’ve secured Sivelia. Please order the extraction on the first floor.” I said into the microphone.
“Consider it done. The EMT on our side will arrive soon. Get ready at the front door.” Chief said. It seems like she is ready for it.
Me however… I’m not in any way ready for any of this.
I take a glance at Neko once again. She has turned into a fox and turned on us… I… what in the world is going on now.
Until now we live a fairly normal life, right? We know magic but we still live a normal life… right?
I… what has the world thrown us into…
