Chapter 1: (Untold Reality)

- North of Vladivostok - 04:38 GT - ELITE Officer Class C - Takarada Kito -

“Ready!” A girl’s voice rings up in my earbud. She sounds excited. I’m kinda terrified by how excited she really sounds…

“I’m in position” Another girl’s voice rings up. This girl sounds worried. So I touch my ear, turn on my microphone.

“Be careful. We’ll have to go in at the same time. Don’t be reckless, keep calm.” I said. Ready my explosive charge.

In this snowy region, there are multiple buildings far from any civilizations. And this building has been taken over by terrorists. It is our job to secure the site. Anything is fair game. Why? Our enemy is terrorists. Are we in the position to spare them? Yes. But do we have to?

I set up the explosive. Then, I touch my ear once again. “We’re here to rescue 2 hostages. As long as the assets are safe, anything is fair game. Come back alive, that is my order.” They both said “Yes, sir!” at the same time.

I grab my detonator, calm my breath… then…

“Begin the siege.”

I blew up the wall, throwing out smoke grenades. They are blindly shooting right at the wall I blew up. Feels kinda nice, not gonna lie.

When the smokescreens are up, I push in and throw in firecrackers. Those firecrackers serve as distractions while I push up to them and start shooting them. During panic and chaos, they’re disorganized so much I kinda feel bad for them as this turns into just a simple shooting gallery.

Nobody shot at me while I was just shooting everyone… I’m kinda disappointed.

After just a few moments, everything is turning silent… when just about ten bodies lay dead on the floor. I took a deep breath, took a look around.

Just as I was about to call the others, I saw someone still alive.

A woman, probably Asian, wearing a bulletproof vest. She got piled up by another corpse. She is eyeing me… with probably the most pitiful gaze I would have seen.

I slowly walk up to her. Her face turns frightened as she scrambles to find anything to shoot back at me.

I kneel in front of her, pulling out the pistol from one of her partner-in-crime. Then, I aim it at her.

“Your mistake is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope you will not repeat this mistake in your next life…” I took a shot… Took her life… I took a deep breath… take a look around once again. Alright, no one is alive… "Infiltrated" I said into the mic. I stand up and look over to the stairs.

Someone is coming down. I aim at the stairs. 2 terrorists come down and saw me.  I was just about to take a shot… when one of the terrorist stab another one right in the neck, killing that one outright. I lower my gun and ask “Is that you?” to that other person.

“Yes” A female voice came onto my earbud. She then takes off her mask and hood, showing her bright white highlighted blueish hair under her black hood. She still has her scarf on her face so I don't see her exact face. She waves me over.

“Where are the hostages?” I asked.

“2nd Floor, I’ll lead you there.” She answered.

She walked up the stairs, confidently. I took a slower step, carefully watching behind. Until I reach the door. It's just a normal door. And she is currently picking it open.

“They use different keys for everything… So annoying.” She grumbles. Then *Tick* her tools twitch. She turns to me.

“Have Neko do the usual please.” She said, looking at me.

“Alrighty then…” I touched my earbud… and said. “Neko, your time.”

“Okie Dokie” She said cheerily into the mic, right into my ears. Then the sound of shattering glass and gunshot can be heard right above us.

The girl in front of me opened the door right in and took out another 2 people. Well… they’re criminals.

I cover for her from the back, watching the corner.

I look around. The hostages are in the corner of the room.

“Narin, secure hostages. I can’t speak Russian.” I said loudly.

“Roger.” She holsters her gun and goes to the hostage. Well… I’ll just cover for her then. I watch the main entrance.

For quite sometimes actually, before the gunfire above me subsided.

“Third Floor cleared.” she said, contentedly… I’m gonna hold on to the details then…

“Go to the rendezvous, we’ll meet up there.” I said.

The Footsteps above me sounded, before they faded.

“Narin, are we done?”

“Yes, yes.” She came up to me, handed me a hostage. “She can’t walk right, her left leg was shot. I was tending her during the infiltration, but she hasn't recovered enough just yet. You have to carry her. I’ll have another one with me.”

“Alright.” I lower myself for piggyback, which she complies after Narin persuades her a bit more.

I then slowly walk out. From the room, from the building… onto the vast expanse of snowy, forested ground.

The trail of blood follows me, I didn’t notice then but… she is still bleeding.

As I go forward. To the rendezvous… a single pickup truck can be seen, along with a man guarding it together with a woman resting on the pickup.

“Jesus… help her inside immediately.” He said.

“I know I know. I don’t have a snow boot dammit.” I jokingly said. Then softly let her on the inside. “Chris, can you convey to her that I’m gonna treat her wound.”

“Sure” he said, then talked to her in Russian… I don’t understand it though.

The woman slowly calmed down. I check under the clothes Narin uses to slow the blood, she has a gash on her leg… it almost like someone shot a f–king shotgun to graze her leg!

“HOLY… Chris, radio for immediate ambulance at destination! This is going to lead to infection soon enough! Neko, get me a medkit. I’m going to disinfect this and renew the bandages. Narin, comforting her.”

““Roger!”” All of them are doing their job. While I assess the damage, she loses quite a lot of blood already I assume… god… I always forget that SHE CAN’T do first aid correctly…

I slowly take off the bandages… I said bandage but it was just a cloth Narin took from somewhere… I didn’t even know whether it was disinfected beforehand or not… so I had to disinfect her wound and renew the bandage. Treating wounds like this is going to be.. Rough… to say the least…

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

“Narin, please comfort her, it’s gonna be painful for a bit…” I said as I was about to wash her wounds. The woman recoiled.

“Yuki-san, can you not…”

“Can you bring us to the hospital in an hour?” I said back. Pour an alcohol over the semi-fresh wound, then I disinfect it. All while Narin tries her best to soothe her pain and the woman struggles a little bit. Alcohol to the wounds is sting… especially since she is probably raised in a highly comfortable environment… as she is already crying.

Lastly, I dress up her wound… carefully.

“This should be fine.” I said, quietly. And then pack up the medkit.

“Yuki-san…” Narin speaks up, probably feeling guilty that she didn’t do a good job saving her.

“Narin, where is the other one?” I asked. She points behind me. The other hostage is currently talking to Chris.

I then look at her, pat her head. “Looks, if not for you, both of them would probably be dead. You are doing a good job. However, learn some first aid, would you?” I pinch her cheek, jokingly.

“Nii-san”

The other one of my team members spoke up. She has long, dark brown hair. She still has scaff on, same as Narin.

“We should get going.”

She gestures toward the horizon. Yeah… she’s right. We should leave this place soon.

“Yeah… Chris, we’re leaving.”

I shout toward him. He speaks to the man and he comes over to the door.

“Is everything ready?” He asked, sounding serious.

“Yes.” I answer. “So, is the ambulance ready?”

“Yes.” He answers. I jumped onto the pickup bed.

“Okay then, the sooner we get to the rendezvous, the better.” I said, then looked behind at the girl. She is quietly looking at me.

The truck started up, and slowly made our way to our destination.

“Nii-san, maybe we should stop doing things like this.” She said, not like I don’t understand her though. We kill people… no matter how we justify it… we kill people.

“Nii-san is a streamer after all. And you’re good at explaining stuff! If you go full on online gaming then-” I patted her head, stop her from speaking any further. I can’t help but smile softly.

“Neko, you know you can stop doing this anytime, right?” I asked, she then said. “I won’t if you won’t! I won’t stop if you’re risking yourself like this!” Her teary eyes beg me…

“Jeez… what a troublesome sister.” I pinch her cheeks. "Neko, we're ELITE. We're doing this job so that others can sleep soundly. You know that right?" I smile softly. She looks somber…

"We'll stop doing this after we graduate anyway. So don't worry too much…" I pat her head. "And didn't you enjoy dealing with them?" I smile wryly… She blush… goddammit… and here I believe my sister is a normal person.

"Anyway, we'll get back home soon." I smile again. And the truck started moving. We're off, back to civilization.

Oh, I haven't introduced myself? My bad.

I'm a C class ELITE operator. Codename Blizzard, real name Takarada Kito, but everyone called me Yuki. I'm a specialist in diplomacy and tactical insight. This is my team.

The brown haired girl, Takarada Naoko, Codename Storm. She is a specialist in urban combat and maneuver. Also, she is my half sister. We share the same father, and we both raise in a happy family with our two mothers. Yeah, polygamy is legal, although not exactly welcome.

The blue-haired girl, Codename Typhoon, is named Narisara Eakkaeo… she is Thai so her name is in Thai… her family name translated roughly to The First Glass, or The First Gem. She is a specialist in infiltration and espionage, but she is super bad at first aid. I'm worried about her being ninja-like yet lacking self-sufficient skill.

The man at the heim, Codename Hail, Christin Rosak. He is a sniper specialist. His left eye has been replaced with cybernetic, a result of childhood and domestic violence, that's all I can say. But because of that, he can see pretty far away.

So, yeah. This is my team. Pretty all-around. I think.

After we went to our rendezvous, we got our plane ticket back to Siam, after another 6 hours of traveling, we're finally back to our home. A mission successfully done.

Next morning I went to report to my superior.

She is a 30-ish woman who drinks in the daylight. This is 9 in the morning by the way! She has auburn hair and crystal clear blue eyes, European descent. Her body is that of a well-trained athlete, but still pretty curvy. Honestly, if she wears a skimpy suit I would have nowhere to look. That is how… beautiful she is.

She currently wears formal attire, the organization uniform. One hand holding a glass of wine. Another hand holding a light novel book. She seems to be into Japanese light novels a lot lately… I regret introducing it to her, okay?

“Boss, here's the report for yesterday's expedition and rescue attempt.”

“Great job, Yuki. And the novel you recommended to me is also great. Do you have some more… erot-”

“Boss, that's not safe for work.”

“Haha, alright. I'll ask you once you're off the clock then.” She smiles, a cheshire smile. This woman…

“Oh, I remember now that I look at your face. You're marked for a bounty by the Church of True Saint. You're quite popular now, aren't you?” If she has a cat tail, you would see it wagging. For some reason, she just loves toying with me. Why…

“Please, boss. Don't tell me they have my face.” I said, grumpily.

“Luck is on your side. Because they don't. They know your Codename though. So be careful moving forward. For the last given assignment, you'll receive a bonus for the request. You've done it cleanly. Now you may rest. I'll call you when the next request comes. Probably in a week from now.”

“Thanks.” I bow a little bit. And ready to go out.

“Yuki,” She called me. I turn. She seems sorrowful all of the sudden. “Do you believe in god, magic or anything fantasy?” She asks.

“What? Boss, are you drunk?”

“I'm dead serious. Do you believe it?”

“I do believe in higher power, although I'm not religious by any means. If there is magic, miracle, or anything such. Humanity might not be  prepared or made for it.” I stated.

She smiles wryly. “Yeah, humanity would not be prepared for that.” she said.

I'm confused. But knowing her, she would not say anything. So I got out of her room. A big guy with a sledgehammer walked into her room. Probably some mercenaries on hire. I've never seen him here before though.

Whatever, I received cheques for my team at the reception, then went on my way.

“I should buy something to eat. A little treat should be nice. Maybe a cake and beef steak. Or maybe fried chicken. Haha.” I jokingly said to myself.

In Siam, things like pizza, brand name fried chickens or steaks, are treats. We mostly eat rice and anything nutritious, most likely soup or stew of some sort, or maybe something stir fry. So I bought some cake, fried chicken, and chocolate cupcakes for treats. As well as buy some ingredients for this week's foods as well. Then I went home. Happy, because I have money to spend on something luxurious for a bit. But then, I saw my house.

The door is open, strange… Neko would not keep it open like that. What is this feeling I feel… not good.

I rushed to my house. The door has been pry open. The living room was trashed. The sound of fighting is still nearby. Upstair perhaps. So I rushed to the stairs… but… there was a lot of water and ice around. The ice crystals even stab into wooden stairs… What is this?

I ran up, only to have a missile of ice crystal fly right beside me, glazing me just a hair.

Alright, I'm terrified. There is a woman, dressed in white overall, with a blue accent. Her hair looks so smooth, silky, moist… and silvery. Her eyes look like a doll, her lifeless teal eyes stare right through my soul. Her skin looks pale, with her fingers having multiple signs of frostbite and ice crystallization.

“Lady…” I said with a shaky voice. “You're trespassing. Please leave or…” I haven't finished when she launches an ice crystal at me. I dodge the last second, as it glancing me again, cutting my cheek.

I then take up my pistol and shoot at her. I mean, she's the one trying to harm me first right? I just shot her in the arm so she would be alri…. She catches it… with her bare hand… alright that's it!

“I'm done with this!” I scream. She then summoned her sword, a European single-handed sword. Nice… very nice. She then rushed me, trying to score a hit. I unsheathed my tashi and received her blade head-on… she is strong, don't get me wrong. But I believe my tachi is stronger tha…. The blade chipped. God dangit!

I shift my blade so hers slip off, and proceed to smack her in the face with the handle. Like I said, I'm done with this.

“You came to my house. Trash the place. Do god-knows-what to my sister. Try to kill me. Chipped my sword. And blow my mind countless times. I'm done!” I swung faster than she could react, cut her chest… bigger than I thought. But that's not the point.

I then kicked her away. She falls down on the ground. I step on her. “Please, don't hold it against me.” I kick her head in a way that should break her neck. She's silent and still is now. But I can still hear her breathing.

“Boss, we'll need a lot of talk.”
