A Silverblood scouting party trudges through the dilapidated sewers, connecting the Kingpin quarter and the industrial district located beneath Eichenheim. The air was foul and the water was horrid, some puked as they trudged through the waters. Ijin Yu was with them, using the echolocation ability Sierra bestowed upon him to search for an exit.
After multiple hours of searching for an exit, they would eventually stumble upon an old pipe, sealed off by an old and rusted grate. Ijin Yu, who was at the very front of the formation touched the grate before stepping back for a moment, right then and there, he would unleash a powerful kick that launched the grate several meters, letting the Silverblood hunting party out of the sewers, stumbling into an old and dilapidated sewage treatment plant.
The Silverbloods bloods rejoiced and celebrated.
"We're finally out of that damm place", A Silverblood said before vomiting.
Ijin Yu explored the facility to find it completely abandoned, there was no sign of human or Anomaly life. The Silverbloods rested before preparing themselves with the intention of fetching the remaining Silverbloods still within the Kingpin quarter. They lit their lanterns and headed back into the sewers, following the trail of string they left. Ijin Yu and two others were left behind, they watched the others disappear into the darkness of the sewers.
...
Ijin Yu and two Silverbloods sat in a circle around a burning fire contained within a metal barrel. One Silverblood had dark skin, he looked like he hailed from the southern continent. The other was pale with dark hair and blue eyes, he looked like a native to the northern continent.
"Cold", the southern Silverblood expressed.
"I told you to wear a coat", the other one said.
Ijin Yu looked at the Silverblood before removing his coat, "Take mine"
The Silverblood hesitated before accepting the coat and wearing it, "Thank you"
"Don't you feel cold?", the other Silverblood asked.
"No, not really", Ijin responded as he pondered in silence.
It's strange how I no longer feel any cold. Perhaps this is a side effect of welcoming Sierra into my life.
"You kill beast in slum, that good", the southerner said.
"I can see why our boss likes you sir Ijin", said the northerner with a smirk.
"What's your name?", Ijin asked.
Warming his hands by the fire, the southerner introduced himself, "Me Boseda, he Mason", Boseda said, pointing to the northerner.
"You two don't look like you're from around here, how'd you two get here?"
Mason sighed while Boseda seemed confused.
"Boseda used to be from the southern continent, he was gonna work here as a construction worker but his employer was a bad man and he somehow ended up in the slums"
"He was supposed to provide for his family and got treated like a slave I assume?"
"I believe so", Mason replied.
"What you say?" Boseda asked.
"We talked about your job", Mason said.
"Me job? Me job bad, no sleep, man work me, I want sleep"
"He struggles with the language, forgive him"
"I understand don't worry" Ijin said with a smile to Boseda, Boseda smiled back.
"What about you?", Ijin asked Mason.
"My mother was one that had many... male clients shall we say, one of them was a Kofish oligarch who impregnated her, then I was born"
"So you're from Eichenheim then?"
"Yes, it may not look like it, but I am"
...
The three waited for a while, eventually many Silverbloods came pouring into the sewage treatment plant. Ijin watched the Silverbloods from the rooftops, thoughts echoing in his mind.

I never thought so many people could be this happy to be in the industrial district. I guess that's what happens when you've been imprisoned in a slum for all your life.
Footsteps sound out from behind Ijin, echoing off of the tiles on the roof.
"Hey", Aiko's voice said.
"Hey", Ijin responded.
Aiko sat down beside Ijin, her face was with a hint of disgust.
"First time trudging through crap?", Ijin asked with a grin.
Aiko raised an eyebrow, "I lived in the Kingpin quarter?"
"You look like you haven't had any experience"
"The sewers smell so much worse than the Kingpin quarter"
The sky was dark, even though it was daytime. It seemed like a storm was brewing. Ijin looke up into the sky.
"It seems like it's about to rain", Ijin remarked.
"Good, may it wash this stench away from us"
Ijin chuckled slightly, his gaze towards the Silverbloods who were facilitating the evacuees below.
"Did you face any Anomalies down there?", Aiko asked.
"Not really, it was just eerily quiet for some reason"
"Is that a good thing?"
"It depends, it could mean they retreated or that they're planning to ambush us"
"What do you think?'"
'The latter"
Aiko and Ijin fell into an akward silence, the silence would be broken when a loud roar sounds out in the distance. Ijin and Aiko look to the source of the sound to see a massive humanoid silhouette, towering over the dilapidated buildings of Eichenheim's industrial district.
It was a few moments, it happened so quickly, Ijin warned Aiko, "Get down!". Moments later, debris would be hurled towards the general direction of Ijin and Aiko, buildings were rocked and destroyed by the debris.
Ijin and Aiko fell down onto the streets below. Ijin was fortunate and broke his fall but Aiko was not so lucky, she was hit by a piece of concrete in the head and became unconscious, she laid on the concrete, motionless.
"Aiko!", Ijin calles out as many screams echoed out throughout the area.
Ijin looked around to see many Silverbloods, dead or injured. Ijin ran towards Aiko but would be intercepted by a beast-type Anomaly who jumped down from the rooftops to stand before him.
Ijin drove his silver sword into the beast's heart and continued to run towards Aiko.
"Aiko", Ijin callled out as he reached Aiko's body.
Her head is bleeding, she has a pulse, her leg is broken. Damm it, out of all bastards, it just had to be that thing didn't it?
Beasts came into the scene, slaughtering the Silverbloods who attempted to halt them. Ijin's eyes, filled with determination.

Chapter 11: How interesting

June 24, 1789
Ijin stood on top of a factory's rooftops overlooking Eichenheim's industrial district, watching a massive beast type Anomaly which marches with an army of lower level beasts.
Sierra spoke to Ijin, "Are you sure this is what you want to do?, I'm not even sure if you will survive"
"I am sure", Ijin responded.
"I didn't know you'd be this worked up", Sierra said with some cheekiness in her voice.
The massive beast looked to Ijin's general direction, Ijin did not waste a moment, he ducked down as the beast hurled debris with its long arms towards him.
Those beasts are gonna charge towards me while that thing keeps the pressure high. What a god damm mess.
Ijin dropped down to the streets below but is attacked by a horde of beasts. Ijin engaged combat with the horde, blood covered the streets as a macabre dance of death commenced which would be halted when more debris was hruled towards Ijin's direction, destroying the surrounding buildings and killing many beasts.
Ijin manages to survive the storm of concrete, he stands uo to see many corpses of beasts surrounding him.
"The beast king never cares about its subjects", Sierra spoke to Ijin.
Ijin begun advancing towards the beast king but would be halted once the beast king hurled more debris towards him, destroying the buildings around him even more, some even collapsed from the force of the attack.
I really need to find an easier way to get close to that thing.
As Ijin was about to continue his advance, the beast king hurled more debris towards him, a piece of concrete hitting him in the leg, causing him to fall down.
"Sierra heal me"
"I will, no need to get worked up over it"
As Ijin's leg healed, the building he which shielded him collapsed, unable to move away, the weight of the collapsing building crushed him.
...
A long time ago, within the Kingpin quarter...
A young Silverblood walks alone in the middle of the night, his clothes, soaked in crimson red blood as he walked in the darkness on the slums.
"We ain't letting you go that easily Ijin", a man said out loud.
The young Silverblood looked to the man with sorrow and confusion in his eyes.
"Why Darvok?", Ijin asked.
"We are a family Ijin, you don't leave family behind"
"Listen, let's not do this"
"Well you either come back to us or you get buried with us", a woman said.
"Elaine?, even you?", Ijin said, his voice with a tone of feeling betrayed.
"We're not going to let you go Ijin", Elaine said as dozens of Silverbloods appeared from the shadows.
"Aiko and Alden... do they know about this charade you're doing?", Ijin asked.
Ijin's mind raced:
I don't want to work with the Silverbloods no more, but I also don't want to hurt them...
Should I?...
I need to run away...
Ijin prepared himself, he wanted to run from the Silverbloods, he would not hurt them. As Ijin attempted to move his legs to run, he collapsed into the cold concrete.
"Ijin?", Elaine called out to him.
"What the hell?", Darvok remarked.
Elaine approached Ijin's body to check on him, "Ijin?"
Ijin looked up to Elaine, his eyes were dark, much like the abyssal darkness.
"Ijin?"
Ijin stood up and spoke, his voice distorted, it was not normal, it was a voice of a woman.
"How interesting", Ijin's body said with a wide exaggerated and inhuman grin.
...
"Dead again?", Sierra's voice said out loud.
"I'll do you a favor", Sierra said, possesing Ijin's body, his eyes turning dark, his skin becoming pale.
Ijin or Sierra who possessed Ijin's body looked up to the beast king who stood over the destroyed industrial district.
With her distorted voice, Sierra made a remark, "How interesting"
The beast king hurled debris towards Sierra, Sierra ran towards the beast king, not even stopping. With lightning speed, Sierra dodged all the pieces of debris that were hurled towards her.
The beast king launched another salvo of debris which was once again dodged by Sierra.
You can't kill me, you're just an animal, I'm a goddess.
As Sierra got closer and closer, a horde of beasts came at her which she dispatched in a few moments.
The situation felt dire for the beast king, it felt fear for the first time jn its short existence, it was a horrible feeling it thought.
Sierra reached the beast king's feet, she slashed its ankles first causing it to fall down onto the ground. Next, she came for its neck which she cut off cleanly, disabling its thinking and sight.
As the beast king attempted to heal itself, Sierra stood over its chest and hackes away...
She stabbed...
And stabbed...
And stabbed.
She eventually reached the heart which she destroyed with such ferocity. After she was finished, she looked at the body she was possessing, it was crimson red, it didn't look like it was covered in blood, it looked like it was made of blood.
Sierra smirked before beginning to laugh out loud.
She made a remark, "How interesting"
