Chapter 4

It only took a few days but I have explored the entirety of the cave that my hive is growing in. The opening is a small entrance. The only thing that could get through would be a Parasite Queen, but I wasn't going to send her out at least not yet while they are still growing and expanding.

The Flesh Queen and Parasite Queen both kept fighting over the days I was exploring through the cave. They were both at a stalemate and kept killing each other's creatures equally. They were slowly growing in strength, and the Parasite Queen got more birds and Infected Frothfangs.

Meanwhile, the Flesh Queen has gotten to F 2 and some of the flesh blobs have gotten to F 2 as well. When they rank up they basically get stronger armor and their weapon gets sharper. Also, the Flesh Queen got another Flesh Lizard, and the Queen seems very happy about that so not sure if it's like a pet or something but I'm just glad for her.

But to be honest it was kind of boring and repetative just seeing the same couple monsters fighting each other and dying every single time. So I decided I will spawn more Queens. I could go all out and spawn five of each Queen but the caves will get way too overcrowded. I decided that three of each Queen would be good enough.

As I summoned the six new Queens I felt a bick rush of energy empty something inside of me. I was very strange but I guess if I was going to spend over half my essence I guess that is to be expected. Six small but bright flashes entered my vision and I saw six new Queens.

To my surprise, they didn't look the same as the original Queens. They all were a little bit unique in their own way. The three Parasite Queens all looked the same except for their face. Their faces were of two young women who looked as if they were twenty when they got turned into a Parasite Queen if that's what even happened. The last one was yet another girl at least the age of twelve, it sort of broke my heart that something happened to her but so was life. She will help me grow stronger and so will she, fighting the other Queens. They all had black eyes with a black substance dripping out of them, and their never-ending grin.

That thought made me think will the Parasite Queens or the Flesh Queens fight their same kind? Only time will tell.

The Flesh Queens were almost all the same except their back end. They all had the same military stature just standing there, with the same body shape and everything. But the thing that you can tell which one is which is their insectoid back ends. The first one had a tarantula back end its hairs looking like they could puncture skin. The second one's back end looked like it was a praying mantis but instead of green or any normal color, it was half blood red and bone white. The third one back end was a red ant torso with eight legs.

"Hello, you can all go and do your thing," I said waving them off with one big spear limb, still don't know what to call them.

They all rushed off down the cave, the Parasite Queens chittering and screeching the whole way. I wonder how long it will take for one of them to die, I mean one of them had to. If none of them did then I will be strong, but if some did I'll be stronger so the strongest ones survive and grow and the weak ones die off early so they aren't a hindrance in the future.

I just hope the original Queens will survive I sort of have a connection with them, even though it's only been a couple of days. I also wonder if the differences between them will have any effect on their creations or if they will all just create the same thing. Again only time will tell.

As I looked around the cave when they left I noticed that there were more and more fleshy bits all over the wall. It was like moss slowly growing over time. I could only guess it was because of my being here and my influence. I wonder what it would be like in a forest or in a meadow. The only thing I really know is that my Queens wouldn't be nearly as strong in a field of flowers. It was kind of funny to think about though.

1 Week later

It has been one heck of a week. I reached F 4 in four days, which gave me a small boost to my strength. Also in the first few days, the red ant Flesh Queen died, by the original Parasite Queen who had reached F 3. There are also clear territories set now too, with all the Queens fighting for space in the confines of the cave. The ones farther away from me were the weakest ones, which were both of the older-looking Parasite Queens. She used a silk web-like string to cover up the small entrance, and I was surprised by one of the silky strands, and the amount of sentience she had to have to do that by herself.

The silky strands actually turned out to be a common thing for the Parasite Queens. They were used for marking their territory and also making their nests, which they lived in releasing their parasites from within it. The nest sort of looked like a cocoon with dozens of small openings all over of it.

The Flesh Queens sort of seemed to be the weaker ones of the bunch which surprised me, even though the weakest ones were two Parasite Queens. They had more flesh structures they made with dead creatures. They were majorly military based creating barricades and spiked walls with sharp bones. They also had more of a room than a nest, with walls and everything. The Queens used the rooms to drag in a corpse or sometimes a living lizard and contort them, or scrap their body and turn them into a flesh blob.

They craft everything with dead creatures from their battles with the Parasite Queens, and even in one case a small fight with another Flesh Queen. It was the praying mantis and tarantula Flesh Queen fighting each other. The tarantula Flesh Queen won, having more creatures to fight the other Queen with.

All of the Queens have reached F 2 except the one at the entrance but I could tell she was close to ranking up. There was really nothing else happening at the moment except for the never-ending carnage everywhere I looked.

I walked down the tunnel seeing the strongest Queen, the original Parasite Queen hunting down a flesh blob who must have thought it was strong enough to wander this far. Before it even knew it was being stalked the Parasite Queen pounced on it and ripped it to shreds with its legs and mouth. It then started to eat, by then I looked away suddenly interested in walking back to the end of the cave.

I started to go to sleep because even when you are a monster in a different world you still get tired. I closed my numerous eyes and drifted off to sleep.

At least until I heard a screech coming from the entrance
