Raz slowly awakes from his slumber, the pains within his body had seemingly disappeared. He opens his eyes to see the skull softly illuminate the tunnel, then the system window popped in front of his eyes again.
[Tutorial quest: Defeat an enemy in your area who is at least triple your strength! You may use any way possible! As long as you are the cause and reason it came to death!]
[You have leveled up! Tutorial completed! Well done on beating a creature ?????? levels higher than you! You have gained the abilities [Inspect], [Status], and [Choose Your Path]! Well done test subject 002! You are the first one to beat the tutorial! You have been gifted [World Chat]. Eventually, others will get it as well! Good luck!]
The system then popped away with those last words.
“Wait, there are others? I thought I was the only one! And what are these new abilities?”
Raz then grabs the wolf's skull and puts it in front of his face. [Inspect].
[Canis Mortem: The skull of Canis Mortem.
Level: 52.
Strength: 68. Dexterity: 42. Constitution: 82. Charisma: 1. Wisdom: 10. Intelligence: 5.
Mana: 0/0
Hp 1/410]
“System, what is the average human’s stats? I want to know just exactly how powerful of a creature I am looking at…”
[Average human stat’s: 10 in all. 5 Mana. 50 hp.]
“ Oh. That is- 1 HP?!? It is still alive!?” Raz stares into its eye and sees no life within it. It must be whatever the light is, he ponders. He then looks down at himself and mumbles [Status].
[Raz:

[Level up still pending, also changing hiding basic skills away from skill slots]
“Why am I so weak?! Probably cause of too many office jobs. Agh- not my Charisma…That feels like a punch to the stomach… Anyways, show me level up and Class Path!”
[Level up! Gained 3 stat points to put anywhere. Class Path! Choose any of the available paths!
Warrior, Archer, Mage, Cleric, and Paladin.
Due to personality traits and surroundings, bonus options:
Warlock, Necromancer, and Dirty Shaman!]
“Why do my bonus options sound so scummy, and you didn’t need to add dirty in front of the shaman! Argh! I may be morally wrong but that doesn’t mean you get to treat me however you want! But let's look at these options… Hmm, clerics and paladins are instantly out. I am not some goody-two-shoes who uphold good stuff. Warrior is out because I am too weak… Archer is out, I don’t want to be reliant on a weapon that I have no way of getting. No to mage because the other classes seem more interesting. I am not interested in reading books all day… Shaman is out just to spite this stupid system. Hmm, that leaves it to warlock or necromancer. I don’t like raising the dead but I also don’t want to be leaning upon some sugar daddy demon…”

[... Human, as your system ai, which I will be leaving after this to leave you with just the system, I highly suggest you not be so fickle. But, I hear your cries, and I’ll suggest a trade. Give me the monster core within the Canis Mortem and I will let you spend your few stat points to gain the [Dungeon Creator] Class. Deal?]
A button saying Agree and a button saying Deny appeared on the screen. Raz felt a presence within the system that he hadn’t felt before. It was as if there wasn’t just an ai but something much deeper talking to him. He slowly thinks over his options and believes that the system is to help and not hurt him, he then agrees with the requests and hands over both the skull and taps the agree button. The extra stat points he had gotten flooded out via energy from within himself into the system. The skull also then vanishes into a mist of grey energy.

Raz, satisfied with the knowledge stands up and looks towards the tunnel entrance, knowledge of earthen magic floods his brain. He moves his hands together with a clap and the earthen walls begin to close shut, slowly sealing off the tunnel entrance. The feeling of fatigue drains him slightly as he uses mana for this effect. He rests against the wall to see how long it takes for mana to regain and clocks it in at about one mana every thirty minutes. After regaining his mana, he looks down the opposite way where the tunnel continues.
His eyes flash with red energy and he is then able to see mana within the air and within the earthen walls. All different types, shining light blue-greenish, and some shining brown. With his newfound ability, he is able to see a little in the dark and begins to head down the tunnel.
The scent of the all-familiar death rises down from the earth, making him believe he’ll see another nightmarish creature or situation. After a while, the ground no longer continued at a slant but directly forward. Very far away from him, he could see a dash of blinding light. The sound of running water softly echoed down the tunnel.
Raz instantly dropped down to a crawl, his hands and feet getting covered in dirt as he slowly moves forward worried that some creature would see or smell him coming from a mile away. He turns his head and sniffs himself. Yep, smelt like blood and sweat. Great. He continues on and shuts off his mana vision as the surrounding area has been overwhelmed with light and mana.
The tunnel opened up into a gigantic cave with a large waterfall overflowing into a stream that goes into the earthen wall. The area is covered with plants and large red mushrooms that go up to waist height. All over the walls and ceiling is glowing moss and mushrooms shining brightly upon the areas. A stony path goes from the tunnel forward to a clearing in the cave. Raz strains his eyes and sees what looks like a dead body in the middle of the clearing, a throne further away that has a greenish-looking person, a human-made looking cabin behind the person, and a large tree with blossoming flowers with branches that stretch all the way up to the ceiling of the cave.
Against his better judgment, Raz slowly creeps forward, moving from plant to plant as he gets closer to the clearing. His curiosity greatly outweighs his fear and caution as he wants to see what the humanoid person is. He pulls a mushroom cap to the side to get closer and it easily moves, even moving the entire stalk out of the way. Raz stops and slowly looks at the mushroom, he sees a humanoid face on it as well as little arms at its side, glaring at Raz.
The mushroom creature strikes out one of its arms to hit Raz, but he quickly backs up gauging the strength of the creature. [Inspect].
[Mushling: A mushroom that has evolved to take intelligent properties, very territorial.
Level: 3.
Strength: 4. Dexterity: 2. Constitution: 9. Charisma: 1. Wisdom: 2. Intelligence: 4.
Hp: 44/45
Mana: 2/2]
Raz reaches into his pocket and draws out the skeleton wolf claw, wielding it in his right hand. He then grabs a fistful of dirt in his other hand. He kicks off the ground toward the mushroom and throws out the dirt into its face hitting its eyes. Raz uses his now free hand to grapple around the mushroom and cuts at its base with the claw, carving into it like he would be cutting a tree. The mushroom flails its arms about in a panic trying to hit Raz but he ignored its feeble attempts and rips the mushroom from its base using the claw and his hand. [Killed level 3 Mushling! XP gained: 10.]
Raz sits on his haunch, panting a little as he tried to remain quiet as possible. He looks down at the claw and grins, enjoying how useful it has become to him. Bringing his free hand over to the mushling, he activates [Consume]. The Mushling slowly disintegrates into energy and dust. The energy goes into Raz’s hand and into the core of his body, directly into his heart. He then feels his heart pumping new weird energy into his veins and through his body.
[Ding! You have discovered Living Mana. It can be stored through other measures and the limit doesn’t correspond to normal person limitations. Five expendable mana gained!]
