-Clarisse POV-
Even though I had believed she had died. Believed I would never see her again. She was there, for several seconds yet it felt like a decade worth of pain and frustration had lifted itself off my shoulders. My happiness of her knowing my name was short lived. Just as she had suddenly appeared in my life once more, she had decided to disappear in a flash.
However now that I knew that she had somehow survived, I couldn’t help but allow several droplets of tears stream down my face. Words couldn’t describe the mixed emotion I felt. I was happy, sad, angry and so much more.
Despite the short encounter, it had sparked something in my heart. I was sure I wanted to search for her. I just needed to confirm it. Confirm it was really her. She reacted to the name Sera and knew my name, but was that truly enough to decide it was Sera.
I couldn’t be sure of anything unless I spoke to her once more. To venture out in search of her would require me to desert the military which was treason. I knew all too well the price of doing so, but I had no attachment to the place. The only thing worth noting was the memories I had made with Ria and Sera.
I knew the risk, but the possibility of the reward at the end was enticing enough for me to disregard what could result in a futile journey. If she was truly Sera, I would regret nothing.
Svalinn and mjolnir still lay there unconscious. Mjolnir seemed to have been injured significantly enough to pass out as soon as the threat had left. As for Svalinn she seemed to have exhausted her mana from protecting all the B ranks from the shockwave created as Sera flew away, and the rubble that followed soon afterwards.
If she was truly not Sera I could perhaps lie my way out by stating that I gave chased due to the principal order. If that fails I could simply escape. With nothing to lose I left in search of the friend whom I had until recently, believed to be no longer of this world.
-Amber POV-
Ria flying out had cause a shockwave and consequently rubble from the ceiling she had broken through. To protect the B ranks who had fainted, I had no choice but to expand the rest of my mana activating Svalinn one last time before losing conscious.
When I had regain conscious, I found myself in the bed located in the medical building for military personnel. Since I was no longer in the threat of death, I could sort through my memories of what had happened. The main issue was what exactly did Ria do. She somehow could transform into a creature stronger than someone on par with a S rank. My brother was still out there searching for her. If that was Ria real strength, I fear for my brother safety. A ranks might be feared as some of the strongest entity of the countries, but if I had compared it to Ria earlier display of strength, A ranks were nothing but insect to her which she could easily kill.
In the end I had decided to request to search for my brother. If I left there would only be two more A ranks left in the academy. Mjolnir and Astra, the rest were at other branches.
After I had recovered I went to request to help my brother. I was turned down because apparently Astra was missing ever since she went to help us. I didn’t see her help us so I couldn’t be sure if she had indeed entered the colosseum.
Normally I would obediently listen and not pursue the matter any further, this time however my brother life was in jeopardy. My brother and I had been orphans ever since our parents died in a daema attack. The fact the military could allow us to prevent it from happening to other people had motivated us to join. He was all I had left and I had no intention to allow him to die a pointless death all because of a order to search for someone.

I continued to pressure the principal into letting me leave and search for my brother. Eventually he finally broke down and allowed me to do so when I stated the possibility he was allowing a A rank to die if no one was sent to warn him of the demibeast strength, that defies all logic. It had resulted in the academy defence to be significantly weaker, with only mjolnir remaining but my brother safety came first.
My brother had told me, that he would first enter demibeast territory to search for her. Since I had that information my destination was naturally the demibeast territory.
-Ria POV-
I wasn’t sure what had happened. The last thing I could remember was starting a fight against the adamantine adventurer. The next thing I knew I found myself in a small house covered in bandages.
I couldn’t make sense of what had happened exactly, since the minute I tried to get out of the bed I could feel my entire body screaming in agony. It was several times worst than the aftereffect of the fight with the knight. In the end I gave up trying and allowed my injured body to lay down on the bed.
The first thing that came to mind, was the ever so important question of where was I at exactly. The house I was in seemed to be made of natural things like wood unlike the fancier ones in the city made of stones. The house itself seemed behind in times if I compared it to the town and city I was in. Knowing that I could conclude I was no longer in the city.
After merely laying there I heard a person entering the house. The person in question was a female that had both ears and tail that demibeast were suppose to have. She was of average height and had a wolf like ear and tail. Her hair is a grey colour and the clothing she wore seemed familiar.
“Oh my. You finally awake?”
“yes.” I weakly replied as even a word as short as that had required me to strain myself to be able to whisper out.
“I was worried you weren’t going to wake up. My husband suddenly brought a half dead girl back, you can only imagine my shock. Well its nice to see you somehow survived. You had been asleep for one whole week now. To be honest I thought you weren’t going to make it. Your wounds were just too severe.”
The woman started explaining to me as she helped changed the bandage covering my body. After having finished changing my bandages she told me to take it easy and get some more rest. I couldn’t understand why they were showing so much kindness to a mere stranger, but I wasn’t exactly in a optimal condition to refuse so I simply accepted their kindness. I did feel gratitude for it since I couldn’t be sure what would happen if they hadn’t help me.
What she had told me did however caused more confusion. She said I was apparently lying down half dead not far from their tribe. The area I was in was nowhere close to human territory, as a matter of fact we were so deep in that humans were almost never seen. My memories were cut off abruptly during the fight, so I couldn’t understand how I ended up here.
Also I was apparently holding onto a sword when her husband and son had initially found me. That very same sword was resting against the wall directly to the left of the bed I was laying down on. I didn’t know for what reason I was holding onto it, but the claymore belonged to the man I fought before my memory got cut off. The claymore itself was black except for gold lining tracing across all the lines on the claymore. For some reason it had ended up in my possession.
(Author Note) : A chapter to explain what happened. sorry that its shorter and that it was released really late compared to usual. As usual any feedback would be nice. Okie bye
