Training

(I don't own Rwby it belongs to rooster teeth)

Weiss pov:

It's day two since Jess and I merged, and I feel good, but I have to start my studies as the heiress of the Schnee Dust Company. I must be diligent and acquire knowledge on everything I'm able to.

I stretch and get ready to begin the day, then head to the study where Winter and I spend most of our time, making sure we have all the necessary knowledge so Father doesn't get upset.

Winter is ahead of me in both fighting experience and knowledge, but one day I'll surpass her.

Ever since Winter gave up on being the heiress, Father has become stricter and more demanding, pushing me to become the perfect successor. I've been taking etiquette lessons, although now that Jess is a part of me, I find it difficult to care about his approval. However, I'll give him a chance to change for the better, as he is still my father.

Learning about the company has its own value, considering the vast amount of dust it acquires and the significant influence it holds. Perhaps, if I can't convince Father to change, I can persuade Mother to take charge. But with her current state, it may be challenging. Moreover, I have no clue how to remove Father from the chairman seat.

I get to the study and open the door, I move inside grabbing a chair to sit down on, looking at the stack of books already prepared for me to start. I grab one about the history of Remnant and begin reading.

Several hours later, I finish the stack of books and head to the training field. Today, I'll be testing my glyphs as I've yet to check if anything has changed.

I activate my aura, surprised to see that I have a lot more than before. I guess Jess really gave me a boost. I wonder if anything else has changed.

I start by experimenting with a speed-boosting glyph, recalling how my future self used it to propel herself and Ruby forward. As I imagine the glyph's effect, I launch myself forward at an incredible velocity. I repeat the process several times, getting accustomed to the newfound speed.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

Next, I focus on my elemental glyphs. Retrieving Myrtenaster and infusing it with dust, I summon the fire glyph. Though it is undoubtedly stronger than before, the increase in power isn't as strong as it is with the speed glyphs. I wonder why it's not as strong. *shake* I discard that thought and I proceed to test the other elements, leaving ice for last, and the results are similar. While they exhibit greater strength, the boost isn't as pronounced as with the speed glyphs

*sigh* With that thought, I try out the frost glyphs, I close my eyes imagining the area covered by ice. And then I feel the temperature drop by a lot. It's freezing cold. I open my eyes to see that the training area was covered in ice. I guess I know why the other elements aren't that strong. Frost got all the boost from the combination of Jess and I. I'll have to train how to control the glyphs with their new boosts.

I decided to make imaginary enemies kinda like when you shadow box and got into an attacking position. I flick my wrist, unleashing a flurry of glyphs into the air, each one shimmering with its unique elemental energy. Ice, fire, and lightning danced around me, forming a dazzling spectacle of power and control. I gracefully weaved through the glyphs, my movements were a harmonious blend of elegance and precision. As imaginary adversaries came at me, I conjured glyphs beneath my feet, propelling myself into the air with a burst of speed. Mid-air, I conjured a glyph beneath my palm, and a freezing gust of wind erupted, sending icy shards hurtling towards my imaginary foes. I land on the ground and take a deep breathe and exhale.

I grab my towel and clean my face from sweat. Surprisingly, training takes more out of me than I would have thought even though I knew, a part of me couldn't help but be surprised.

I get up and head inside to clean myself up with that thought bouncing around.

"Weiss," my father calls, interrupting my thoughts.

"Yes, father?" I respond.

"I do hope that you're keeping up with your training and studies, even though I'm no longer able to be there to supervise your progress on becoming the perfect heiress because of the company," he says in a cold and strict tone.

"I am, father. I just finished training and was about to go clean myself up," I respond in the sincerest tone I could muster in front of this man.

"Excellent. The company will prosper even more once you're ready," he replies.

"I must be going ahead, father. It was nice to see you," I say before I walk off heading

towards the shower.

I arrive to the bathroom and rid myself of my clothes and step into the shower, allowing the warm water to wash away the physical and mental strain of my training. I get out and get dressed for dinner alone as usual.

I arrive to the dinning room where my dinner is already prepared for me to eat. There are three more years until canon starts, so tomorrow, I'll go through Jess's knowledge of my future team, suspicious people, and events to watch out for. With that thought I finish my dinner and head into my room getting ready to get some rest because tomorrow's a full day of planning.
