MoonHaven

Yuri settled into the embrace of the carriage. The steady rhythm of hooves was a comforting cadence beneath him. The beasts that pulled them were two beautiful white horses, their breath visible in puffs of exertion as they navigated the winding path to Moonhaven.

From his window, Yuri could see the beauty of Eldoria.

There were many beautiful sights that Yuri witnessed. From beautiful emerald green meadows, to ancient trees that towered over him, their leaves whispering secrets of the ages.

Yuri watched, a silent observer to the serene majesty of his surroundings as he continued to travel.

"Such peace," he thought.

As the carriage rolled on, Yuri's mind wandered to the days ahead. "Two days till we reach Moonhaven." He mused, his fingers traced the intricate patterns carved into the wood of his seat.

The capital was the heart of Eldoria. He looked forward to exploring the bustling streets and bustling markets. Most importantly, he looked forward to the academy, where he would be able to grow his strength with the help of great teachers and instructors.

He'd also be able to fight against many different people. The thought of being able to battle to his heart's content and witness all the different elemental abilities people had only made his heart pound in anticipation.

Lost in the beauty of his surroundings, two days passed, in what seemed like mere moments.

"We are almost there. The view of the city should be visible after crossing this hill." The carriage driver said.

Yuri couldn't help but stick his head out of the carriage window, the wind tousling his hair as the first view of Moonhaven hit him.

The city's walls glinted with a soft, otherworldly glow, and the towers stretched like they were trying to reach the stars. From what Yuri could see, the city was huge, way bigger than any place Yuri had been, including his past life and the present.

After getting closer, they eventually reached the dedicated gate for nobles. Two guards walked up to the carriage and requested Yuri's identification.

After showing his family crest to the guards, they confirmed it was real. They then nodded and welcomed Yuri and the carriage driver into the city.

As they rolled through the gates, the city's heartbeat became audible—market vendors shouting deals of the day, the mouthwatering aroma of food wafting through the air, and the many conversations and chatter surrounded them.

The place was alive, buzzing with energy that even the stone beneath his feet seemed to hum with.

Yuri was here, in the thick of Moonhaven, and he knew right then—this was where his story kicked into high gear.

"Alright kid this is where the ride ends." The driver said.

"Thanks for the ride," Yuri said as he hopped out of the carriage, along with all of his belongings.

He took a deep breath as he looked around him. He had to find an Inn where he could stay for the next couple of days before the entrance exams started. Quickly scanning his surroundings, he decided to ask a lady that was selling a variety of fruits at her stand.

"Ma'am, do you perhaps know a good Inn around here that is close to the academy?"

"Yes, I do! If you keep walking that way, you'll see an Inn called 'The Lotus Inn'. Their room prices are reasonable, and their food is good." The blonde-haired lady replied.

"Thank you." Yuri politely said as he continued on the path the lady had shown him. Yuri continued to walk through the bustling streets of Moonhaven. The cobblestone beneath his feet gleamed like a river of stars, worn smooth by countless travelers.

Towering buildings of nicely carved stone and gleaming glass rose on either side of him, their facades etched with the intricate design of Eldorian artistry. Balconies adorned with flowering vines added a splash of color to the gray stones, while lanterns hung like jewels, casting a soft, golden hue over the faces of passersby.

The air carried the murmur of conversation and the clinking of glasses from nearby taverns.

The scent of roasted chestnuts and spiced meats wafted from the food stalls. Overhead, the sun shined full and bright, bringing even more life to the beautiful city.

As Yuri approached The Lotus Inn, he couldn't help but marvel at the sight before him. The inn itself was a masterpiece, its walls a tapestry of wood and stone, with a grand archway leading to a door carved with the image of a lotus in bloom.

With a final glance at the city that sparkled like a gem, Yuri stepped forward into the tavern. After taking in the atmosphere of the tavern, Yuri walked towards the host stand that was adorned with vines and flowers.

There was a woman that greeted him from behind the host stand. "Welcome to The Lotus Inn, are you looking to get some food or a room?" She asked.

"Can I get one room for four days, with three meals a day."

"For a room with 3 meals per day included it'd be 6 silver coins a day, so 24 in total."

After handing over the money, the woman guided Yuri up the stairs and to his room. She handed him his key to the room and made her way back.

Opening the door, Yuri walked inside the room. He looked around and it wasn't anything luxurious. It was a simple room, but Yuri didn't care. As long as he had a bed, a shower and some food he was content with his living conditions for the next four days.

After setting his bags down Yuri threw his body onto the bed. The trip was nice but exhausting as well. He had sat in a carriage for three days, he wanted to rest before he went exploring the city.

'I haven't checked my stats in a while.' Yuri thought. He decided to open it and check where his attributes were at.

'My stats have increased a bit more and I have a reward available once I reach the next realm.' Yuri thought as he closed his panel.

'It's about time I went exploring a bit.'

Getting out of bed, he straightened up his room and got ready before he walked out and headed downstairs to exit the Inn.

Exiting the Inn, Yuri was once again met with the busy and bustling atmosphere of the city. Not knowing where to go Yuri just casually walked around, he made sure to remember all the stores and vendors he would need in the future. He even stopped by the academy to check out where he would be attending once he passed the entrance exam.

Yuri stood at the edge of the sprawling campus, his eyes tracing the contours of the grand academy building that loomed before him.

'4 more days'

Leaving the area, he decided to go back to the Inn and get some rest. He wanted to practice his swordsmanship in his room for the next couple of days to make time pass by.

After arriving in front of the Inn, he went straight to his room. He decided to call it a day and get some rest. He had been in a carriage for about 3 days and couldn't sleep as comfortably as he wanted to. Now that he had a bed, he wanted to get a good night's rest.

He lay, sprawled across the bed. Thoughts of the academy's entrance exams flickered through his mind like a silent movie.

But the bed was too comfy, the pillow too soft, and his eyelids too heavy. Bit by bit, the day's excitement and nerves melted away.

His breath slowed, steady and easy, as sleep crept in, cozy as a blanket.

And just like that, he drifted off into a deep sleep.
