Father And Son Bonding

Father And Son Bonding

As the first light of dawn crept over the horizon, the Kaguno residence's courtyard began to unveil its serene beauty. The air was crisp, carrying the scent of dew-laden grass and the distant echo of the waking forest.

At precisely 6:00 am, Yuri was in a fighting stance. His eyes reflected a calm determination.

Across from him, Mizuno stood ready for Yuri to attack, his focus sharp as the blade he wielded.

The courtyard, a silent witness to countless mornings, observed the two warriors with an air of anticipation. It was here, amidst the whispering leaves and the soft chirping of birds, that the clashing sound of steel would soon resonate, marking the beginning of their day.

Yuri was ready to take on his father. He knew he had no chance of actually winning but he could definitely benefit from this fight, maybe even get in a couple of attacks.

Thinking of how he should go about attacking. He didn't register Mizuno appearing right before him with his sword humming right towards his neck.

Pushing his agility and speed to the max, Yuri reacted to the strike just in time, but not without getting sent flying back.

"Good that you blocked that. I'll keep my strength in the 'Initiates Threshold Realm'." Mizuno said.

'I could barely react to his speed. He's strong as hell.'

Emptying his thoughts, Yuri focused every fiber in his body on reacting to Mizuno's speed.

As he sensed Mizuno closing in on him, he swung his katana.

His sword met Mizuno's, which created sparks that illuminated the space before them. As they fought, Yuri was mostly on the defensive. He tried to fight back but his opponents' strength was one he couldn't overcome.

Continuing their fight, they exchanged blows. The fight was intense for Yuri, but he didn't back down. He intercepted and dodged every attack thrown at him, while making sure to throw his own attacks in as well.

Even though he was getting pushed back by Mizuno's attacks, he still continued to fight head on against him.

Mizuno's face was blank, showing no emotion. While Yuri was focused and intense.

They clashed again and again. The loud clang of their blades meeting filled the air.

Yuri was getting lost in the fight, his movements became more refined, his thoughts only focused on strategies and how he could land an attack on Ren.

'Faster'

Yuri thought as he pushed his body to its limits.

Sweat beaded down Yuri's brow. The spar was intense, and Yuri was pushing himself to the limit.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

With each clash, his swordsmanship became more refined, slicing through the air with precision.

The courtyard, bathed in the golden glow of morning, echoed with the sound of their battle.

Yuri's breath grew heavier, his muscles screamed for respite, but his spirit was unyielding.

'Quicker,' he urged himself, as he parried a particularly vicious thrust.

'Smarter,' he thought, feinting left before darting right. With each movement, Yuri's senses sharpened, and his reflexes honed.

The dance of their swords was a blur, a symphony of steel that resonated with the very essence of Xerov. And as the sun climbed higher, casting long shadows across the dueling pair, Yuri found what he was searching for, an opening.

With a burst of speed, Yuri executed a series of maneuvers that were a blur. His sword aimed at the left side of Ren's body.

Yuri thought he had finally landed an attack but before he could even react, Mizuno moved so fast that he couldn't sense where he went. Before he could figure out where his opponent went, he felt a sharp pain at the back of his neck and with it, he fell forward.

His vision went dark, and his consciousness faded. The last thing he heard was the sound of his father's laughter.

**Pov Switch ( Mizuno )

After he reflected on the fight he had with his son, Mizuno knew Yuri would definitely be a powerhouse in the academy and would come out a monster.

'He'll be fine in the academy, he definitely is stronger than most people his age. Anyway, now it's about time for Aurora to start her training.'

After snapping out of his thoughts he picked Yuri up and slung his body over his shoulder. Yuri was unconscious and breathing heavily.

He carried Yuri up the stairs and into his room. He placed him on the bed and covered him with a blanket before leaving the room.

**Pov Switch ( Yuri )

After their spar that day, Yuri and Ren agreed to spar every morning until he left for the academy.

Yuri's week was filled with loving memories of his family. He made sure he spent most of his time with his family. He was grateful for the little things, like the time he spent with his parents and siblings. He cherished every moment he had with them, knowing that he was leaving soon.

Eventually the day came. He would finally be leaving for the academy. Yuri made sure he had everything he needed, which wasn't much. His mom and dad told him to go shopping once he got to the capital since they have a variety of goods that are of great quality. Plus, there was a strict dress code in the academy so he wouldn't have to worry about packing many clothes.

After he grabbed his bags, he took one last look at his room before he left and walked downstairs to start a new chapter in his life.

As he walked to exit the front door, he could see his carriage that would take him to the academy. He also could see his family waiting to say their goodbyes.

His mother, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, stepped forward first. She wrapped him in a warm embrace, whispering words of encouragement that Yuri would carry with him like a talisman. "Remember who you are, Yuri. No matter how far you go or what you become, you are always a part of us. Also be sure to bring me a girl home when you visit!"

Yuri smiled and nodded, his heart full to the brim with love and gratitude for his mother. He promised to stay safe but couldn't promise that he would bring a girlfriend back when he visited his family.

His father, a stoic figure, clapped a firm hand on Yuri's shoulder. "Make us proud, son. Your journey is not just about mastering the sword or the elements. It's about mastering yourself."

"Yes sir," Yuri said.

His younger sister ran over and hugged him tightly. "Don't forget to write me letters! I want to hear about all your fights and journeys! I want to know about all the different beasts you encounter. I want to know everything. Promise me."

"I promise, I'll write to you 2-3 times a week." Yuri said as he kissed her forehead.

After finishing his goodbyes, he looked at his family with a final look, then stepped into the carriage. The door closed behind him as he went to sit down.

As the carriage rolled away, Yuri watched through the window as his home—a place of love and learning—faded into the distance.

Ahead lay the academy, a place of challenge and growth. The path would not be easy, but Yuri knew he was ready.

With the turning of the wheels, Yuri's adventure began.
