“What tidings do you bring, Vasos?” the King asked, his voice low and commanding.
“Me got many stuff to say, boss,” Vasos said. “But first, me got some ideas to make our spy-stuff better.”
“Of what nature, pray tell?”
Vasos scratched his chin with a clawed finger. “Well, boss,” he started, “me think we need more snitches and spies in our web. Also, we can give betta trainin’ in sneakiness, spying, and trickery to upgrade our spy-skills. And for the reports, we can make secret codes and scribbles to keep ‘em safe, while also makin’ ‘em more regular and detailed, so we can be ahead of dem enemies.”
“Vasos, I entrust thee to carry out these efforts and bequeath thee a budget of 100 gold per year.”
Vasos hunkered low, his sharp teeth glinting in the torchlight. “I ain’t gonna disappoint ya, Yer Highness,” he said, with his head bobbing. “I’m gonna drill our sneaks to be top-notch, da best there be, and see to it dat no foe ever gives us a nasty surprise.”

Alexander nodded. “Pray, is there anything else you would like to add, Vasos?”
Vasos stopped for a moment, considering his words. “Uh, boss,” he said, “me got some smalls bits of news from all me travels and snitches. Me can tell ya some of it, if ya want.”
“Please do,” said the King, leaning forward in his throne.
“Me hear a word, boss,” Vasos said. “There be a Mystic Hut, far in the Wilderness beyond the northern mountains. It’s a risky trip to get there, but there be big rewards. Some say the hut got ancient, mighty objects, while others say it be full of mystical knowledge. But me say be careful, boss. The Mystic Hut could be a front for evil powers.”
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to you,” said the King when the Vasos had finished. "Thank you for your insights and knowledge, Vasos. They will undoubtedly aid our efforts to safeguard and advance our kingdom. Now, if there is nothing else, dismissed.”
“Me happy to serve, boss,” Vasos said, hunkering.
“Keep me apprised of all occurrences within the realm,” he said. “No detail is too trivial, no report too unimportant.”
Vasos bowed again. “As ya command, boss,” he said. “Me won’t leave any rock unturned.”
