It was morning, and Ichirou woke up feeling refreshed. The tavern he'd stayed at offered a natural hot spring known as an Onsen. However, due to financial constraints, the owner couldn't afford to heat the water, so it was chilly. But Ichirou didn't mind.
After taking a cold shower, he gathered his belongings and prepared to depart for the Kingdom of Aquoria. He ventured outside the town and noticed blue flowers blooming. On his right, the flowers were darker in color, and on his left, they were lighter. He chose the left path.
As he walked, Ichirou felt an overwhelming sense of freedom. Growing up in a castle, he realized there was more to life than confinement. His past life, spent mostly playing video games in his room, began to make sense.
After traveling for a while, Ichirou finally saw a wall, signaling his arrival at the Kingdom's outskirts. His journey was about to begin in earnest after his relentless sword training.
He had read that the Kingdom of Aquoria was known for its friendly atmosphere, especially towards newcomers to the world of hunting. As he approached the two guards stationed at the entrance, he greeted them politely.
"Greetings, do you possess your guild's card?" one of the guards inquired.
"No, I'm here to join the guild," Ichirou replied.
"For non-guild individuals, there's a registration fee of 25 Bronze Coins," the guard informed him.
Ichirou handed over the coins, and the guards nodded, allowing him to enter.
"Excuse me, where is the guild located?" Ichirou inquired.
"Proceed straight and take a right," the guard directed him.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Following the guard's instructions, Ichirou found himself standing at the entrance of the bustling guild. As he stepped inside, a wave of cheerful energy washed over him. The guild was filled with people who seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. Their faces beamed with genuine smiles, and their laughter echoed through the air. The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and shared purpose, creating a sense of pure joy and fulfillment.
Ichirou approaches the guild receptionist. It was a lady, everyone in the guild was looking at her like she was some type of princess. Her beauty was radiant, her skin as smooth as silk, and her eyes sparkled like diamonds. Her long, flowing hair cascaded down her back in waves, and her smile could light up a room. She was the epitome of grace and elegance, and everyone in the guild was captivated by her presence.
"Excuse me, I would like to register as a guild adventurer." Ichirou inquired.
"Of course, kindly fill out this form," the lady responded.
Ichirou swiftly filled out the form until he encountered a question that asked, "What elements do you possess? We'll need to verify this information." This caused him to become concerned. He approached the lady and asked, "Can I skip this question?" She replied, "Are you certain? If you do not specify any elements, you may receive a lower rank." He didn't mind skipping it, as he was aware that if he revealed his element, he might be deemed useless. His ability to blend with a sword was already sufficient for his purposes.
Ichirou handed the form to the lady at the counter and said, "Please wait here while I get your card."
A minute later, his card was ready. "Wow, that was fast," Ichirou remarked with surprise.
The lady smiled and explained, "Our family has a special technique for making cards quickly. We're known as one of the best guilds for fast card production. Usually, it takes about 10 minutes, but we can do it in just one minute."
Ichirou was impressed by this information and thanked the lady for the card.
"You're welcome. Over to the right, there are missions that you can take depending on your rank. If you need me again, I'm here. My name is Olivia. And you are...?"
Ichirou hesitated for a moment, then stammered, "I'm Ka-... I mean, Ichirou. Nice to meet you, Olivia."
Aquoria's guild, which is the only one in the town due to its small size, is highly regarded.
Ichirou, eager to embark on his first quest, heads to the mission session. His eyes immediately catch a mission that involves hunting goblins. It is ranked D, just like in the video games he enjoys. However, upon checking his card, he realizes that he is only ranked E. Disappointment washes over him, and he decides to take on a more routine task.
He selects a mission appropriate for his rank, which involves gathering herbs. He understands that everyone must start somewhere.
Ichirou presents the mission paper to Olivia, who signs it with a stamp and makes a copy for him.
As he prepares to leave, Ichirou realizes he lacks a bag to carry the herbs. He inquires with Olivia, who informs him that the guild has leather bags available for purchase at 10 BC each. Ichirou decides to buy one.
Equipped with his new bag, Ichirou sets off on his mission.
