For some reason, over the course of the same amount of time both my Health and Stamina went up relatively steadily. It hadn’t been quick or specific, as far as I could tell. My current guess is that it has something to do with how much I’ve grown. I’ve nearly doubled in size! I had many more leaves and branches. Though I think they are more like vines? I am honestly not sure. My branches, instead of growing out, grew down and now waved just a few inches above the ground. If my trunk hadn’t grown along with everything else, I’m think I would have fallen over from the weight.
Speaking of my Health, I am almost certainly positive that when I put the five Freebie Points into my Health all the way back when, that I decided to dump all my next points in a place to test how the points work. Only… I can’t remember where I said that I would. I think it was in my Health again? To see if there was any difference? I could go that route. Even though it has gone up, it hasn’t gone up much. My Stamina saw a more significant boost. But… my focus flicked over to my Mana as I recalled the fight with Goldie.
My illusion of Marshmallow saved my life but the cost was really cutting it close. If Goldie hadn’t decided to flee when she did… My perception focused on my Mana as I swayed my branches in thought. I could… still test things? Only put one point in at a time? See if it does something? I mean, it wasn’t much, but technically both my Health and Stamina have gone up.
I put one point into Mana.
Mana: 26/26
Oh yeah! Now we’re cooking! Another!
Mana: 26/26
Hmm… That didn’t seem to do anything. It kinda confirms my guess that it isn’t just the points that factor in here though. I glanced at my Health and Stamina with a suspicious narrowing of my perception. I mean my Health and Stamina went up without me doing anything. I have three Stat Points left? Let’s put it all in Mana? I don’t know why, but I’m just much more comfortable putting all five points at a time rather than splitting them up right now.
Mana: 27/27
My leaves bristled and a thick scent of annoyance wove its way through my branches. Mentally, I cursed at myself for wasting the Stamina on a tantrum. Not even a tantrum. Look, I went in expecting not much of anything to happen and honestly, it’s more then I got out of dumping the five points into Health. Let’s be happy about that at least, yeah? Besides… I pulled my sheet back up and looked just a little further down under the notification. That isn’t all I got. Under the notification and no vacant ‘Unspent Stat Points’ was one last box.

This is new and hopefully opens some things up for me. I just wish I knew what kind of ‘System’ this was before going into it though. I focused on the words, hoping to glean their secrets. Sadly nothing came forth. Is it a random draw? Should I save up points? No, it can’t be that. Most games that do the random draw don’t have stats and things. Right? Pretty sure anyway. So… it should give me skill options, right? Like some sort of Skill List?
As soon as the words crossed my mind a second screen popped up off to the side. Instead of being the usual pale, translucent light blue, it was green.
