Two years had passed since I learned that Ajay was the imperial prince. Apparently, he was sick of being cooped up and had decided to come to the academy to further train himself. He had made a deal with his father, saying that he could travel for two years after he finished the academy, which took seven years.
During this time I have developed my body to even greater strengths. Any extra fat I had was thoroughly shaved off in assassin training. With Luna’s guidance, I have trained my ears to be able to hear heartbeats even without enhancing my ears. When I enhance my ears, I can now hear the creak of joints when they are moved and if I concentrate, the exhale of the lungs.
With my training I have now thoroughly studied the human body. I am extremely skilled in using acupuncture and hitting pressure points. Best in my class at it, actually. I am well versed in moving without making a sound, have studied and added the art of assassination in my martial arts repertoire. I hate to say it, but I am terrible at alchemy. It is extremely hard to use sound to picture a small object, so I just gave up on learning.
Ajay and I have developed a pretty close relationship over the past two years. Now that he had someone he didn’t have to keep his guard up around, he was pretty care-free. Turn’s out that there are three other Imperial Prince’s, with him being the youngest. I learned with a little shock that he was the strongest magus in the academy, even stronger than my sister. He does not know that I am an assassin or how strong I am, but I am beginning to suspect that he has been keeping a closer eye on me.
I had also learned, with more than a little disappointment, that darkness has basically no attacking spells. Luna had told me about the powers of darkness when I had asked about it. Mostly it was full of Illusion spells, a few healing spells and a couple others that she refused to tell me about.
I was currently running across rooftops with the other two top students in my class of seven. Their name’s were Sam and Tara. Sam was a small kid, maybe 5’3 but his skill with a dagger is leagues above mine. I thought the dagger would be similar to sword fighting, but I was wrong.
Tara is a black skinned girl from the northern Tajira tribe. Her parent’s were quite rich, being the leader of the mountain tribe so they sent her here for more training.
It was dark out, being 10:00 or 11:00. I was softly clicking my tongue with enhanced ears. I could clearly see everything around me. The three of us were going to kill someone. Once we hit the second year of schooling, our training drastically changed. No longer was it practicing against each other with swords padded in leather. Now it was a full blown sword on sword action. At first, Luna was hesitant to let me participate due to my disability, but after convincing her to let me participate she said
“Don’t come crying to me when you die.”
Needless to say, that didn’t happen. I was paired up against a kid named Brutus, a beefy kid who used two swords.
“Don’t go easy on me” I told him then charged at him with extreme speed. It startled the shit out of him when I appeared in front of his face in under two seconds. I already knew brutus’s exact size so I didn’t need to check his body. His heartbeat alone told me where he was. I reinforced the bones under my skin and added a layer of bones right above my muscles. It had a devastating effect. I had punch his solar plexus, dropping him to his knees. Next, I reinforced my right knee and rotated my body, smashing his temple with my knee. Brutus was in a coma for about a month.
No longer did anyone make any jokes about me being blind.
I quickly rose to the best of the class and pestered Luna to teach me more.
Eventually she succombed to my pestering and is currently teaching me a martial art called “The Touch of Death” which focuses on pressure points. I have memorized every pressure point on the human body, but it is extremely hard to use this martial art, as you have to apply a certain amount of strength in order to use it properly.
“We are almost here, Aizen” Sam said, shaking me out of my thoughts. The person we were planning to kill was a corrupt noble that dealt with the Relgen empire, the enemy of the Elgen empire, the empire I am currently living in.
The mansion he was living in looked to have about three floors, and was heavily guarded by soldiers and knights. We were ordered to Assassinate his whole family as to teach a lesson to everyone that dealt with the Relgen empire. Tara pulled out her bladed bow and put two arrows in it. She pulled back, and with perfect accuracy both arrows whistled into the guards throats that were guarding the front entrance. Sam and I caught the bodies before they fell, to make sure they didn’t make any noise.
Sam picked the lock on the door then pushed it open. I swung my bone stick, and listened as the sound bounced off the environment.
“I really need to think of a more efficient method for this” I thought.
“Spread out, Kill anyone who gets in your way. Grab the family and meet at the top floor master bedroom.” I said. Instantly footsteps veered out to the left and right of me. I, Was taking the stairs to the top

Sam’s Pov
I ran to the left. I would let tara kill the woman. I had already scouted this place out and knew that the Noble’s son slept in this room.
I was still nervous about killing someone. My hands were shaking when Tara shot those two guards in the throat, though out of excitement or fear I have no clue. Two guards stood by the door of his room. Sounds of sex filled the room, the noise passing through the door. It was obvious that the guards were more than a little uncomfortable at the noise.
“I’m going to go to the bathroom” One of the guards said
“Y-yeah” the other one said. He walked toward me and my heart began to pound.
“I will have to kill him . No, no,no.” I thought. Suddenly the man passed by me.
“Now!” I thought. I closed my eyes and lunged at his neck. A moment later I felt warm blood gush over my hands. Tears fell out of my eyes when I realized I had just killed someone. My body was racked with sobs. I’m really not cut out for this. I lowered the body down gently. After getting myself back together, I grabbed a throwing knife from my belt and threw it at the guard standing at the door. The second I threw it, I ran around the corner and charged him.
Stolen novel; please report.
“W-” he could say no more as my throwing knife landed perfectly his throat. I caught the body, but not before his helmet fell off. A loud clang resounded in the hallway.
“Shit!” I thought. Luckily, nobody else was awake. I grabbed my lock picks and filled with the door.
I opened the door just in time to feel a sword pierce through my heart.
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Tara’s Pov
My arrows perfectly sunk into the guards necks at the front door.
“Bull’s eye” I thought
Once Shorty and Blindo opened the door, Blindo started bossing us around like he was our boss. Don’t get me wrong, I know that Blindo is much stronger than me, but that didn’t mean I would instantly obey him.
Shorty ran to the left, so I ran to the right. There were three guards by the door, so I assumed that it was the place I needed to be. This would have been a pain in the ass if I needed to check all the rooms. I was pondering what to do when suddenly a loud clang filled the hallway. The guards looked at each other and nodded. One of the went to the right, the other went to the left, which was my direction. I waited until he passed until I thrust my bladed bow into his heart, feeling the warm blood slick my hands.
Once I laid him on the ground, I took out an arrow and shot the last guard in the throat. By now Sam should have dealt with the guard that came that way. I fiddled with the door, as lock picking wasn’t my strong suit. I opened the door to see six guards and a female with a bow pointing their weapons at.
“Die, Assassin” she said. I screamed.
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
“Somethings wrong” I thought. I had heard the loud clang of armor from below. I sat by the stairs, waiting for someone to come only to find after a quick search that it was empty. The only option left was to search the top room. Walking up the stairs, I swung my cane around to get a perfect picture of the place. There were countless objects on the wall. Upon close inspection, I picked one up to find that it was a mask. I felt around it, feeling that it only had two eye holes and no mouth. Suddenly, a loud scream pierced the air.
“Shit, It’ a Trap!” I thought. The voice I heard next confirmed it.
“Search the second floor and the upstairs, Now!” a male voice shouted. I only had one option. No escape, no chance of running, so I would fight. I put on the mask, finding it gave me a surprisingly tight fit. There were two ways I could take this. I could let them come to me and fight with the advantage of the stairs, or go down and slaughter them.
“The one who strikes first wins!” I thought. I ran down the stairs as silent as a wraith. I rounded the corner to see a company of five guards coming my way. I put a second layer of bone around my muscles then dashed out in front of them
“Attack thats th-” he said no more as my black bones shot through his throat. The guards pulled out their swords and one of them pulled out a crossbow, firing it at me. I dodged with practiced ease as it came flying at me. Tera’s arrows are much harder to dodge. I grabbed two black ribcage bones out of my body and sliced the throats of the two guards in front. I made four bones in the shape of a symmetrical eagle’s claw come out of my upper wrist, piercing the guards chest and tearing through his iron armor. The last guard smashed his sword against my neck, knocking me to the ground.
“If it wasn’t for the armor, I’d be dead right now” I thought. I picked myself up and made my hand go ethereal. I parried his next swing with my Bonesword and shoved my hand into his heart. I materialized it, crushing his heart. I enhanced my ears just in time to dodge an arrow that was shot from the second floor stairs.
“He’s Up here!” the man shouted. I threw my bonesword at his head, piercing his skull.
“Is that a bone?!”
“He’s a cannibal!”
I smiled. The more fear they felt, the easier it was for me to kill them. Two guards walked up the stairs and I shot my fingertips at them. One of them managed to dodge, but the other one had his brain splattered against the wall. Before the survivor could regain his bearings I crossed the gap in an instant. I kicked his neck with the perfect amount of force, snapping it without throwing him backwards. He tumbled down the stairs with no visible injury.
I would rather not fight twenty guards, even if I could kill them all. I searched around the second floor while the guards were in fear.
I swung my cane while running, hoping to find a window. No such luck.
“If there isn’t a way out I’ll make one!” I thought as I punched the wall with a body enhanced fist. My fist smashed against something that was in front of the wall. Feeling it, it felt like a second wall only...different.
“It feels like mana!” I thought. So the walls are guarded with mana.
“Maybe it takes mana to break mana” I said aloud. By now, the guards were upstairs and searching for me.
I was going to try something I have never attempted. I imaged in massive lance of bone to wrap itself around my arm. The bones responded, making a heavy lance of pure black bone around it. I imbued the bones with mana, then took a few steps back.
“There he is, Kill him!” I felt arrows smash against my back, tearing skin but unable to crack my armor.
I Enhanced my arm and my legs then ran at the wall. The bonelance was pretty heavy, but I knew I could manage.
Right when I was a good distance away from the wall I used my centrifugal force and threw my arm against the wall. A terribly loud Cracking sound could be heard. I pushed with all my strength, and suddenly the wall gave way. I fell through with it. I was about three stories up, but when I enhanced my feet my bone and mana, I didn’t feel anything.
I ran as fast as I could, adrenaline pumping through my body like never before.
llllllllllllllll
From above the tree lines, a figure was watching Aizen with an amazed expression on his face.
“How can he.. No, more importantly, how is he so strong when he is blind!” that voice sounded like… Ajay!
“Guess it was worth following him” he thought. “If he is this strong, then he is perfect to be the leader of the team!!..”
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Well how did you all like my chapter? I thought it was pretty good, though my fight scenes could use some work. Anyways, Hope you enjoyed!
