Chapter 67: A New Beginning

Chapter 67: A New Beginning

"We'll take this one."

Hans appeared slightly taken aback by Aron's choice, but he quickly regained his composure. "As you wish, Sir. I will make the necessary arrangements for the purchase," he said, offering a respectful bow.

Elina, curious about Aron's decision, glanced at him. Aron leaned in and whispered, "This mansion will better serve our needs and offer greater security for you and the girls."

Elina couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and gratitude towards Aron. His decision to choose the second mansion was not only practical but also considerate of their safety and comfort. She admired how he had treated them thus far and hoped it would continue, as she was beginning to feel attached to him and the other girls.

'That cute Raven too'

After completing the necessary paperwork for the bank account, Hans presented Elina and Aron with a black card.

"This is our VIP card, which you can use to call for guild services."

Elina nodded and bowed slightly. "Thank you, Mr. Hans. Now, about the mansion, can we see it?"

Hans agreed, "Of course, I'll take you there myself. I need to stretch my legs a bit after all that office work. Please wait here while I prepare the carriage, as it's a bit far from here."

As Hans left the room, Aron approached Elina with a serious look. He gently placed his finger under her chin, forcing her to meet his eyes.

"!!!" Elina froze, her attention fixed on Aron's eyes, which, for some reason, had turned red.

'Aren't they black?' she wondered but was interrupted by Aron's deep voice.

"Never do that again."

"Eh?"

"Never bow your head again to anyone."

".." Elina widened her eyes in shock, confused, and didn't understand the reason behind his words.

"I'll allow it as a form of thankfulness and respect, but other than that, bow to no one and answer to no one. Aim for the top because that's the safest place, understand?"

Elina was taken aback by Aron's words, not expecting such a strong and firm command from him. His eyes, still an unusual shade of red, bore into hers with intensity. She felt a mixture of surprise, confusion, and a strange sense of empowerment.

"I...I understand, Master," she managed to reply, her voice slightly shaky. She recalled the first time she saw Aron and his words when he saved them.

'The strong is always right and the weak have no rights.'

Aron's expression softened as he gently rubbed her chin with his fingers. "I don't want the people I care about to be taken advantage of because of their weakness. So, be careful from now on, alright?"

"..Mm.." Elina melted, his touch sent shivers down her spine. Closing her eyes, Elina found herself leaning slightly into his hand, seeking more of him. His words resonated with her deeply.

"Ahem!"

"Hmm?" Aron turned around and noticed Hans entering the guest room.

"S-Sorry to interrupt, but the carriage is ready," Hans stammered, scratching the back of his head and turning his face away. He quickly assumed that the two of them were a married couple and felt bad for interrupting their lovely moment.

"!!!" Elina, blushing, buried her face in Aron's chest to hide her embarrassment. She was grateful that Hans couldn't see her face, and she also didn't want to meet Aron's eyes out of embarrassment.

Moments later, she managed to calm down, and Hans awkwardly led the two to a carriage outside of the guild.

The journey to their new mansion took about 30 minutes, reminding Aron of how massive this town was. Seriously, calling it a town was an insult; Larton was bigger than most cities in other kingdoms.

During the ride, Hans shared some information about the town and its history. He mentioned that Larton was once a small village built by a group of adventurers, but its strategic location for trade and commerce led to rapid growth over the years. Now, thanks to its neutral ground, it served as a hub for merchants, adventurers, and travelers from various kingdoms.

As they approached the mountain at the border of Larton, the mansion came into view. Elina's eyes widened in awe, and even Aron was genuinely impressed. The closer they got, the more stunning it appeared. The mansion's architecture was elegant, set amidst serene surroundings, encircled by lush forests and farmland.

Hans acted as their guide, leading them through the estate and introducing them to the various wings and rooms. The mansion was genuinely spacious, offering everyone their private space. The courtyard and garden were beautifully maintained, creating a tranquil and relaxing environment.

What is more impressive is that the mansion is the only one in this area, as the land that belongs to it is huge

"The noble that used to own it really liked to live alone, I like it," Aron said, showing his appreciation for the former owner's way of thinking, which matched his intention for the mansion.

"We'll take it, how much?" Aron inquired.

After a brief pause, Hans responded, "Due to the circumstances surrounding the former owner and your newfound VIP status within our guild, I'll give you a discount on the price," raising four fingers, "Four thousand gold coins."

"Deal," Aron agreed immediately.

Hans opened his eyes in surprise. "Wow, that was fast."

Elina chuckled and shook her head, realizing that perhaps she could have negotiated a lower price, but four thousand gold coins for a mansion of this caliber was an extraordinary deal.

Returning to the carriage, Hans fetched the contract and the keys. Aron signed the papers and took the keys in hand.

"It's a pleasure doing business with you, sir," Hans said, extending his hand for a handshake, which Aron accepted.

"You too, young lady," he said, nodding at Elina. She replied, "Thank you for your help, Mister Hans."

Hans offered to drive them back to the city, an offer they gladly accepted since they needed to move the girls and their remaining wealth to their new home.

Upon their return to the town, Aron rented three large wagons from the guild, complementing the one Kasumi and Pethra had purchased. They now had everything needed to transfer their belongings to the new mansion.

Entering the warehouse, Aron found all the women inside sitting in a large circle, talking to each other, and from their expressions, the subject seemed serious. Only Luna didn't care about the women's talk and kept playing with Raum, who was trapped in her arms.

"What are you doing, girls?" Aron's voice resonated inside the warehouse.

Silence fell, and all the women turned their attention to him. Pethra approached him and replied,

"It's nothing, Aron. We're just discussing how we should split yo—...Cough...I mean...Don't worry about it, it's a girls' thing, okay?"

"Alright, as long as it's not dangerous," Aron replied, waving off the matter.

Pethra smiled slyly to herself. 'No...No, it's something good, for us... hehehe~...I must have the biggest share since I'm the first...Kyaaa! Step nine, wait for me.'

Aron clapped his hands, drawing everyone's attention. "Girls, gather your things. We're heading to our new home."

The women's faces lit up with excitement as they quickly gathered their belongings. Scarlett and Kasumi helped Freya, who was still asleep and showed no signs of waking soon. The wagons were loaded with their personal items, and everyone positioned themselves for the journey.

As they approached the mansion, everyone's eyes widened in shock and excitement. The sight of the elegant estate nestled in the serene surroundings filled them with awe. The mansion was grander than they had ever imagined, and they couldn't believe that this would be their new home.

Stepping out of the wagon, Aron unlocked the mansion's gate with force, swung it wide open, and turned, smiling at Raum and the girls.

"Welcome to our new home, everyone," He spoke with a warm smile, feeling a sense of pride and joy as he watched Raum and the women's faces light up with excitement. He felt a strong connection to each of them, and this mansion represented a new beginning for all of them.

Seeing everyone still standing outside, Aron playfully shouted, "What are you waiting for? Get inside NOW!"

"!!!" everyone snapped from their stupor and hurried inside. Aron guided the wagons inside the mansion to empty their belongings and the wealth.

Luna, still holding Raum in her arms, let out a happy cheer and started running around the courtyard, exploring every nook and cranny she could find. The others laughed at her excitement, knowing how much Luna loved to explore and discover new things.

Aron watched as everyone exploded the mansion, some began to choose their rooms, and others started helping in moving the wealth bags with Aron. Finishing up Aron stood at the mansion's gate he gazed at the mountain behind it his eyes flashed red for a moment before he entered the mansion for a well-earned rest.

In a hidden world of shadows where nothing could be seen.

Two mysterious shadowy figures sat at a round table. One was slumbering with his head on the table, while the other was engrossed in reading a book.

The sleepy figure suddenly raised his head and gazed at the dark sky.

"Ohh! The dragon has finally chosen a nest... Interesting."

Boof!.

With a forceful slam, the other figure closed the book and promptly stood up. "It's about time. Things are about to get much wilder."

"What do you mean?" the sleepy one asked.

The active figure approached a shadowy wall, placed his hand on it, and began speaking.

"When the Dragon marks his territory and claims his treasures, he becomes fiercely protective and obsessive. This world is filled with fools who don't understand one simple truth..."

Immediately after that, the shadow wall disappeared, revealing thousands, if not millions, of huge towering bookshelves filled with books, scrolls, journals, and much more.

"...Don't mess with the Dragon's hoard, or you'll get burned."

"Heheh~" the sleepy one chuckled, approaching his friend standing next to him.

"Yes, and Master is no ordinary dragon," he stated.

The active one nodded in agreement.

"Yes. He is the Dragon of Wrath."

"Lord of Pride."

"The Devourer of greed."

"HAHAHAHA." The two burst into uncontrollable laughter.

"The Dragon will rise AGAIN!!"
