The blue light of the morning sun entered through the windows, and Asura was still staring at the scroll in his meditative position. As the sun rose, changing the blue light to yellow, the crows of the roosters could be heard. Soon, the children in the other rooms were starting to wake up, groggily heading out of the bedrooms and to the Dining Hall.
"Tock tock!" Asura heard someone knocking on the wooden door of his room. Finally looking away from the scroll, his neck creaked as he turned his head towards the door. Faking a loud yawn, he asked.,"What is it?"
"Nanny Lan asked me to wake you up and bring you to the Dining Hall." A girl's honey-sweet voice answered.
"Coming!"
Opening the door, Asura's skipped a beat as he saw the prettiest girl he had ever seen in this world, who was also looked to be slightly younger than him. Wearing a sky blue dress, her hair was a rich shade of mahogany, flowing in waves as if it was meant to adorn her porcelain-like skin. Looking at him was a set of bewitching eyes that seemed to have captured a thousand men's souls.
"Are you done staring at me?" The bewitching little girl snapped.
On the way to the Dining Hall, she moved with the grace of a swan, her wavy hair swaying with every step she made.
Other than the occasional stares she got from the boys, it was a rather uneventful walk.
At the Dining Hall, the rows of tables were filled with foods of all sorts, ranging from roasted meats to fruits to foods that Asura had not seen before.

"Jesus, this looks like a scene right out of a movie, that Parry Hotter movie, I think?" Asura suddenly recalled a movie he had often watched as a teen in his previous world. Having spent 12 years in this world, he had already forgotten a lot of things he had known from his previous world.
"You can sit over there," The bewitching girl pointed towards an empty wooden chair that had been left free for Asura, before walking off to join her friends.
As Asura sat down on the wooden chair, his gaze was not directed towards the resplendent feast on the table right in front of him, but was on the girl who had made his heart palpitate so early in the morning.
"Dude, what're you staring at? The food's gonna get cold, ya know." Said a red haired boy with a lanky build, looking no older than ten, biting a chunk off of a turkey leg.
"O-Oh, you're right." Asura looked towards the red haired boy, greeting him with a smile.
"The name's Khara. What's yours?" Khara grabbed another turkey leg and offered it to Asura, his face revealing a smirk with a touch of rebelliousness in his hazel eyes.
"Asura."
