I'm remembering the times I was thrown in the amazon. Survival against nature and more importantly against fellow kids. It's the third day since I got here. For the lack of better words, since I got transported but this forest is much more dangerous.

I had a hard time against the wolves but I saw beasts that makes them seem cute. I'm surviving by hunting wolves or the horned rabbits, other creatures are too strong for the moment. My source of water is a nearby lake I found yesterday and there is something in that lake.

I sleep in the trees to avoid the predators at night. I close my eyes and try not to think about why and how I'm here. I got my wish anyways, I muse to myself. Isn't this what I wanted? To be free? To start again. Such are my thoughts as I sleep lightly, ready to react. Ready to kill or run from any creatures that come near.

I wake up to the sound of birds chirping, except some of these birds were the size of a chopper. I heighten my senses. I've already mapped the 1 kilometer around me but I saw no roads or any trails leading out the forest. I maybe deeper in the forest than I thought.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

With a slash I took down the giant bear. This bear aside from being big as a bus was quicker and had strength enough to slap me to kingdom come. It was greem amd had antler horns growing out of it's head. Since I got here, I'm adapting my fighting style. I got less and less wounds but my body is full of scars. I've hunted animals before on earth but the word monster could only describe the creatures here. There is a big difference with fighting humans so I hone my skills. Removing unnecessary movement, using the most efficient and quickest way to kill. The thing bothering me was my strength and reflexes were bordering non-human. Everytime I fight, something cool would flow through me.

I would drag my kills near my tree. It is my home these past few days. I start a fire, boy scout style. I skin the bear, cook it and smoke the remaining edible meat. It may not taste heavenly but it keeps my away from hunger. I refrain from picking berries and mushrooms to avoid poisoning. If it looks beautiful then it's dangerous. Another law of the jungle.

It's the fourth day now and I don't know how big this forest is. So I expand the map in my head while I hunt. As I keep hunting, the cool feeling gets stronger. What is this? I shake my head as I try to make sense of it.

I stop in my tracks as I saw in front of me something that looked liked a deformed giant as big as a house carrying a tree trunk as a club. It sees me and uses the poor excuse of a club at me. I dodge only to be kicked then I was sent flying away. It runs towards me as I try to stand again.

I ran towards it and use the trees as footholds to slash at his legs. It swings his club trying to hit me but falls down to it's knees as I slash it's heel. I then proceed to slash at its throat. It chokes black blood and then falls unmoving.

I rest my back against the root of a tree and hope nothing is broken.
