Don't you think it's beautiful? my status.

I had gotten over 9k exp for 'Basic gifted-(Sword)-redirect' in only two hours.

Though I went further than originally planned while in the 'Thought spiral' state, there were a few Harils every few steps.

Though I can't risk a thought spiral here, it is so nice.

Let me show you what happens in an encounter;

I had just killed a few Harils, and I didn't care about my body's complaints, so I rushed forwards to another Haril, which was close to other Harils.

When I got close it realized I was there, and did the Haril thing with it's stupid, 1 WIS mind. Got close, and then jumped in a straight line towards my neck, heart, or kidneys.

Being so predictable, I jabbed it with my sword's hilt, and leaned to the side. The Haril's momentum had gone off the tracks, and missed me barely, and then I put a sword through it's heart with a heavy thrust.

Then the rest of the Harils noticed me, and then they did the same thing as their dead compatriot.

Then I choose one which would get in the way the most, redirected that one while stepping to the side. And then used a slash to kill two while they were in the air.

Then they repeated it again, I redirected the most annoying and then killed with a thrust.

Then the last one repeated the gospel of it's anscestors dutifully, and I thrusted my sword through it's head.

I looked at the log;

Fragmented-Cinder Haril (lvl 5) killed x5; 25 essence gained.

-'Basic gifted-swordsmanship' gained 84 exp.

-'Basic gifted-swordsmanship footwork' gained 27 exp.

-'Basic gifted-sword-slash' gained 53 exp.

-'Basic gifted-sword-thrust' gained 72 exp.

-'Basic gifted (Sword)-redirect' gained 63 exp.

-'Basic learning' gained 24 exp.

Then repeated.

And do you not see the amount of exp I get? An entire month of constant training in only an hour! And you need to remember, most of the two hours were spent getting here!

I can't let things like 'Rest' get in the way! That's loser speak!

----------------------------------------

"Are you okay?" Osgar asked the heavily panting Able Necros drake, also known as me. I had been repeating what I had been doing uninteruptedly for at least a few hours, and I had gotten and leveled up a skill that goes hand in hand with me.

Basic Fatigue resistence, lvl 2, F; 522/10000 exp. -Causes miniscule decreases in the effects of fatigue.

"Ahahaha! I am better than okay!" I felt estatic, the efficiency, it was beautiful.

But I needed rest now, like, needed it. If I did the loop again, it would actually be a 3% of death, and that's no good.

I would go back to my evil machinations.

{{Fight}{Time}{Now}. , you.}

And, it worked! I'm getting better at this.

"Osgar, can you oversee my little drake's fights, so that it doesn't die?" Though I didn't care too much, this thing had high quality, and more importantly, had high potential. If I didn't train it, it would be a giant waste.

"Sure." Out from one of the pockets on his belt, a creature slithered out, obviously ordered to make sure Erebus doesn't die.

That thing is almost certainly a tier 5 beast or more.

But I wouldn't be certain, since it didn't gain much size in it's evolutions.

Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.

And for the time I needed to rest, I was scheming how to make my book that causes it's readers to become nhilistic and suicidal without realizing it until it's too late.

It wasn't going so well, but a few lines were able to get a 0.4 on the nhilistic connotation index!

If your wondering what the index is, it's not actually something official, it's just me putting certain things with certain numbers and hoping it makes sense. Also, I've found a book about fate the easiest to imbue with nhilism.

> Man thinks he is free, while fate pupeteers.

It's still not good per se, because only at a '1' on the index will it be able to have an effect on it's own. below that it'll need more things that induce nhilism.

And what I want is a '1', so that even thinking of any moral or phrase in the book will cause you to get that insidious seed closer to creation.

If you can't tell, my stuff needs to be kept secret, even if I make someone commit suicide by reading a book.

Why do I even think this would work? Oh yea! The only thing that needs to be kept secret are the Arcae books! So as long as I make those who read my books get a good dose of nhilism, it'll be okay. It's like a pill bottle at first acts as medicine, but this one causes death in the end.

----------------------------------------

I stepped out of the dungeon entrance, and clean due to one of the artifacts in my possesion. And I am with a smile on my face to show that my experience was positive.

I don't really need to smile, but I do anyways.

"Osgar Necros Drake, is there some sort of skill that counters skills that try to gain information on me?"

"What..? Able Necros Drake, should you not have been able to find such a skill on your own?"

I twisted my face into one of slight anger when I said "All of the material I got my hands on so far are completely disorginized, there is no way to look through it without reading through the entire pile."

"There is one that you might find sufficient; 'Basic secrecy'."

I then smiled slightly "Well, might you help me with the act of obtaining it?"

"That is no problem."

The two of us, and a small lizard, paced to my private room.

"Now, how do I get it?"

"The skill?" I nodded to his question "Easy, someone tries to find out your secret, and you hide it from them."

It's that easy? like, really? "So I could kill someone, and then keep it a secret I killed him while people are investigating who killed him?"

"...Yes. Though most people just steal some trinket, have someone tell them that it's not there, and then act as if they didn't steal it."

"I like the murder one more, let's use this as practice for a trainee to get skill exp too! Give me a target that's best 'Cleaned up', I'll Make them 'Sleep with the fishes', and then you set this up as a trainee's case."

Osgar again decided that he wouldn't get into this too deeply "Can't we just, do the normal way?"

"We could, but that'd be slow."

Osgar once again paused "I'm not able to orcastrate everything you need, I can get into contact with a high ranking investigator and law-enforcer to see if it's possible."

"That'd be swell." I was happy, pretty happy at least. But then I realized "Actually, scratch that. Let's do this, I have a secret which will be... That my pupils are fake, and then you will send someone who doesn't know that to figure out what my secret is."

Killing someone would be too dificult, why? Because beasts! And I'm not some god among man, sadly.

"That's a lot easier to set up, it'll happen sometime tomorrow, that alright?"

"Of course. Actually, could you send me a pair of blue eyes? Like a human pair of blue eyes."

"Yes... And I guess I don't want to know why."

"You 100% don't." But you probably do.

"...It'll come in less than an hour."

"Really?"

"Well, there are death row prisoners, we sometimes torture them by taking out their eyes. It isn't that hard to bring a pair of those eyes to you."

----------------------------------------

I had a pair of eyes within my hands.

I took a deep breath and steeled myself, and put one of them into my mouth. It was disgusting, but I needed to test this.

After being disgusted by how squishy it was, and finally swallowing it.

It took out my mirror and made a fake smile, and I had gotten an eye with a blue iris, with a pupil.

It was so easy, just eat an eye and you can get that eye? It can't be that overpowered. Because; What if someone's eye had mystical powers. I just need to eat them and I get those powers when I copy the eye?

I'll need to research this.

I consumed the other eye, and kept both eyes as blue as long as possible. But the thing is, I didn't even need to focus to keep the eyes blue.

Eh, who cares, if it works, it works. I'll see if I can change my hair color.

I thinks it's best to go back to black irises with pupils.

Now, time to get that book it's first draft.

I took a few pieces of parchment, and started to write.

> Fate, what is it?

>

> Not many can answer this question.

>

> But I can; Fate is destiny, it is a force that keeps you on track towards the state you are meant to be in.

>

> The world is a stage, and destiny it's director.

This would be the first page.

> Chapter 1; What is freedom?

>

> Many think they are free, but is that true?

>

> Some think that if fate wills it, they will be brought to the darkest rungs, or the highest of peaks. That is what fate does, afterall. No matter what you do, destiny has it's plans, and those won't change.

>

> Is the ability to think freedom? Is sentience freedom? Are you free as long as your thoughts are too? But your thoughts dictate your actions, and your actions and therefor your future are both decided by fate.

>

> But this then brings up questions 'Am I me?' 'Who am I?' and 'Are my thoughts my own?'. I believe all our thoughts are our own, otherwise, how would we be able to even think about the horrors of fate.

>

> -

Shit, I need to be more poetic, and throw in a bunch of terminology.

> Chapter 1; The puppet master.

>

> Fate decides the courses of life, I do not if they are concious, if they hate, if they love, if they feel. For the puppet master guides the world to the future, for better or worse.

>

> A 'Guiding light' is how some refer to destiny as, though I do not, I refer to it as a puppet master. Fate does not guide you, they puppeteer you, have you ever wondered 'Why did I do that?' because you took action when you normally wouldn't? Are you sure that you did it, or that fate did it for you?

>

> I personally don't think that fate dictates what you do at all times-

Writing is difficult, but I'm sure I'll be able to do this!

----------------------------------------

The sun had risen, and a small pile of parchment that had been tied together with string layed on my desk. On the cover there stood 'Destiny's play. (1.0)'

There was a lot in there, and an average of .3 on the nhilistic index on all lines. And a few impactful ones with '0.7'.

> 'Are your thoughts truely yours?'

>

> 'When are you free instead of a puppet?'

>

> 'Fate takes you to your highest highs and your lowest lows.'

>

> 'Does fate have a goal?'

These were pretty good, not even close to the level I wanted. But they were pretty good.

I had woken up from my slumber, ready to experiment on something real quick.

But then, while I was reviewing my insidious book of nhilism imbuement to refine it with my mental prowess, someone opened the door.

"State your name." An authoritive female voice sounded out.

When I turned my head towards her, planning on ordering my minions to pump her full of lead, then remembered I didn't have minions yet. She seemed quite arrogant, and I didn't like how she dared to enter my room without a knock on the door at least "On whose orders?"

"Osgar Necros Drake, elder of the Necros sub-family." She said arrogantly "Now, state your name."

Oooooh, she should've led with that, but isn't she a bit rude? I also don't like her tone, and how she's sitting on my stool, and looking at my things. She's just making herself at home.

I'm going to mess with her.
