Chapter 11; Money charts.

Chapter 11; Money charts.

"Master!" The older Isla said as she arrived to the larger room, I had too little space to keep everything I wished to keep for the last two years. Mostly Arcae books and financial books for the dungeon city, I responded "Oh, you're here."

'Isla' wishes to transfer 7128 essence, do you accept?

Yes/No

I accepted the money that flew straight into my pocket with a smile "You can go play with your beast or something."

"C-can I look at what you've been working on for the entire time I've been here?"

"Sure," Isla was shocked at the sudden acceptance, after being turned down "I've finally finished this large scale project, and I've gained a full plan based on my economic interests."

"What's an Icran?" Isla asked.

"It's just another way of putting the value of something into, I find it nicer to read collective numbers than '7 gold, 2 silver, 73 bronze, 12 copper', so I made it readable in a way I enjoy."

"What's the value of coins anyways?"

"In Icran or?"

"Like, how much copper does a gold cost?"

I looked at Isla, and sighed slightly. I had actually forgotten to tell her this basic knowledge, luckily it wasn't so difficult to understand, so I picked up a piece of parchment.

> 100 copper = 1 bronze

> 100 bronze = 1 silver

> 100 silver = 1 gold

> 100 gold = 1 platinum (Said as 'Fake gold' if literal translation is used)

> 100 platinum = 1 rose gold

> 100 rose gold = 1 black gold

Unlike normal isekai adventures, this place had things above platinum. Why? Because that's just how the fools of this place work. They're afraid of big numbers, while I chase them. They like it nice and simple, even while running a country 'Oh no! I can't associate 6130032 platinum to any measure of value! I'm just too scared of the big number! I got it! Let's make rose gold a thing; Now I have '61300 rose gold and 32 platinum'!' That's how they were made, the bigger and better the economy, and the larger the values, there was another repeat at the fear of big numbers and black gold was created.

At least, that's my personal head cannon. One that I'm not going to discard, why? Because it's funny.

"You can keep it." I said as always, she seemed to like the transcripts I give her.

Though she still seemed very confused by the files I showed her, which was one of the reasons I didn't exploit her to help me out, the second was secracy.

Secracy because Isla was still innocent, and not knowing of the darkness of the world, and that keeping things secret are important. But another reason for secracy, Isla wasn't coming with me to the dungeon hub.

Why? Two reasons; her corrupted physique which is often disparaged by the commonfolk, and another thing I had learned from my biological father a month ago.

I took out another file and showed it to Isla "This is the most basic thing I can show you."

Bronkev goods supply and demand formulas P = Bronze (100 Icran).

Qv = Demand.

Qa = Supply. -(Low-quality) Sword; Qv = -5700P + 520000, Qa = 8400P - 126000. (126000 + 520000) ÷ (5700+8400) = 646000 ÷ 14100 = equilibrium price = 45.81 bronze/P = 4581 Icran.

-(Low-quality) Spears; Qv = -9400P + 720000, Qa = 9200P - 96000. (96000 + 720000) ÷ (9400+9200) = 816000 ÷ 18600 = equilibrium price = 43.87 bronze/P = 4387 Icran.

-(Low-quality) Bows; Qv = -8200P + 936000, Qa = 11300P - 83000. (83000 + 936000) ÷ (8200+11300) = 1019000 ÷ 18500 = equilibrium price = 52.26 bronze/P = 5226 Icran.

-Arrows; Qv = -52700P + 1292000, Qa = 76030P - 57000. (57000 + 1292000) ÷ (52700+76030) = 1349000 + 128730 = equilibrium price = 10.48 bronze/P = 1048 Icran.

....

The list went on for serveral pages.

Let me give you a little explanation if you don't know what this is saying.

> 'Qv' is the demand for the product.

> 'Qa' is the supply of that product.

> 'P' is the price in bronze.

>

> If you put 'Qv = -2P + 34'

> The maximum price for this product is '34÷2', aka. '17'. So the max price for someone to be willing to buy it is; '17 bronze.'

>

> So if you put 'Qa = 10P - 130'

> The minimum price for the product for people to create the product and try to sell it is '130÷10', meaning that only if it the market price is '13 bronze' will there be a supply.

>

> Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.

>

> Now, if use these two formulas you learn that the amount of money the product can cost is between '13 bronze to 17 bronze/ 1300 Icran-1700 Icran.'

>

> Now if you want to know where the best price to sell it is then you must do this; 'Qv = -2P + 34 = Qa = 10P - 130'

> This means that the value of both formulas are the same, meaning that the amount of supply and demand is the same.

>

> Now how do you calculate that value? Here's how;

> -First; put the two values that are multiplied by 'P' together, the one from the 'Qv formula' will be multiplied by '-' (-2P*-=2P). So; '(-2*-)+10=12'

> -Second; put the two other values together, the one from the 'Qa formula' will also be multiplied by '-'. So; '34+(-130*-)=164'

> -Third; Divide the second value calculated by the first. So; '164÷12=(13+(3÷2)=13+⅔=)13.67 bronze'/'164÷12=13.67'

>

> There's the answer; 13.67 bronze/P, or 1367 Icran.

>

> Now you may wonder; why do you want this number. The answer is obvious if you have a calculator with you.

>

> Imput that number of 'P' into the formula, like this; '((-2*13.67)+34)*13.67=O'. Which uses this formula 'Qv*P=O', now. You can replace 'Qv' with 'P + a' (Note; I'm pretty sure this isn't part of the equation. (Another note; all these formula come from the dutch education system. So; PS: don't take this for granted.))

>

> 'O' is used in place of revenue in this, k?

Explanation/infodump/lecture over!

Wasn't that fun? No? Did you skip it? Either way, I'll act like you paid attention the whole way through.

"Understand?"

"No..." Isla said sadly. I chuckled slightly "And that's why I didn't want you to see this, you'd be overwhelmed at seeing a level of mathmatics far beyond yours." "..No, that's not it. I just can't read this."

Oh, this is in english. Why were the other two in Icarasion or whatever this language was translated too? Oh yea, I was planning on showing it to her, not this one though, it was too private and high-class for other to know. That was when I believed everyone here was just a medieval dumbass.

Eh, not that it matters.

"Oh yea, slave, tommorow you're going to meet with my little brother, got it?"

"Yes."

"Then, get lost." I said coldly. She then reluctantly left, at least she had a 'Friend'. That broken girl, I ordered her to act like she liked her. Speaking of her, I ordered her to come over and gave her a piece of parchment with instructions to give it to Isla in two days.

Note: This is about the royal academy within the capital.

She's still my property, and I like return on investment. And the time investment to make this note was barely anything, since I had already found all of this information on my own. All I needed to do was put the information on a piece of parchment. About the difficulty... It's mostly difficult because commoners don't get taught about how to read math tables and stuff.

But the tests are multiple choice and the literacy rate is garbage (But those who can take the test need to prove that they can actually read). So I wouldn't say it's super fair, but it ain't that bad when you have a chance to get a perfect score by pure luck.

I've also been teaching her here and there, mostly the ultimate art of multiplication and devision.

I'm such a nice person, if I wasn't I would've just sold her for a pretty penny.

-Not because I noticed she had quite the bit of talent due to her physique and that's she's already quite attached to me.

You'd be surprised how accurate those physique charts are, arcae academy was advanced as all hell. I wonder why it's not around any more? Not that it really matters, it's good that it's not around. If I can just find the last traces, memorize them, and then erase the evidence, I'd have a monopoly on the knowledge it offers!

Monopolies are immoral, but oh! They are just so juicy!

It was a shame I had to circumvent anti-monopoly laws with a cartel, but this place doesn't even have anti-monopoly legislature! My rule over the entire ecomony is in sight!
