There have been countless projects where we have helped to re-introduce species into the wild where they once roamed. such projects have helped species prosper all over the world and has brought us further into knowing what life may of been before our massive cities, and Multi-Billion Population clasped on the planet. Though there are some species that we're not so familar with, as in this world- the once fictional species we'd see Knights Fighting are actual living and breathing species with their own biologies and behaviour.
Its thought that these animals were actually found on our continents, or at least far more easier to find then what they're now dealing with. A small part of that is because of us, as all our stories of finding dragons and defeating them are thought to be not as fictional as once thought. Humans have caused major decline of these species in the main land, but we can actually blame nature for this as well due to one thing. That one thing being out-competion, as countless of these species need specific conditions in order to survive, such as the frequent wyvern species requiring slightly warmer and open habitats.
But Nature has seemed to always get better overtime and nothing could put that statement truer then what has happened to these animals. As countless other creatures such as Birds outcompeted Wyverns and Dragons, to put it simply, species could not survive due to other, more modern, animals out-competing them for resources, but also being more tolerable to change. Though while the mainland may of not been so helpful to these species during this time, Islands were a lot more forgiving and allowed countless of these species to survive to the modern day.

Us Humans are just discovering them now and are quite stunned about what we've come to find, in the day where Science and Logic takes over the pasts fear and unknowing. everytime modern science thinks it has found the "Last" Island, they then find another one! Its a magical experience and is something that you'd have to experience to be able to really feel it, though for a long time it was thought that Rellea Island was the last one in the multiple that have been found. But there was one last one, found in the year of 1994, it was hard to find due to its state by the time we even first arrived to it... it was overall barren and seemed that some sort of mass die off had happened, plant life was either out of control, or simply perished.. the animal life was much more of the latter.
Legends from the natives from some of the nearby islands is that there was a long drought which killed off the fragile ecosystem, and many of the people there would've sailed to the nearby islands for saftey. Though the natives who volunteered or consented to live back on this island are a huge help in understanding what this island is about and how about it should be maintained.
Multiple Organizations were quick to have this island protected so that building couldn't commense on it, and overtime began to repopulate it with Trees and other plants, mostly used from the nearby islands. Up to the modern day it has been monitored and kept maintained to where that some species we may recognize, such as Deer, currently live there. Though the much more odd inhabitants would be soon transported to this island, this island's history is severely unknown, so its been decided to help carve it a new history to make for a better future... Hoping to make the Island a biological success... and show that us humans have the responsibility to maintain what little nature we have left.
