The waves crashed against the shore, the sound of gulls were frequent and the air was slightly salty. All of this was something we are used to and knowing of, but the warm tropical water held many organisms that we couldn't see.. it was hard to really think the water was full of life sometimes, but it was. Crabs would come out of their small sand burrows and would begin to use their claws to sift through the sand, eating any small animal they could find, though not all of the sand sifters were lucky. A dead crab would be a feast for countless small organisms, but as the large rumbling began to come to the body of the deceased crab- it only seemed like a snack for this large creature. Mirounga mermaidus.. or commonly known as the Mermaid, a giant seal which was reintroduced here a day or so ago, and this species already seems to be doing well, regardless, the giant seal would lower its head down and grab the crab using its jaws. Crunching on the crab before swallowing it and quickly moving back to its harem. wanting to make sure they were safe and without another male.
The honking of the giant seals would echo across the coastline, already meeting the ears of another few people of the other group that had just arrived on this island. Some of the group of conservationists would still be packing their luggage and equipment into their rooms and where it could be placed comfortably. Martin was one of the few who weren't so preoccupied with packing the first night and therefore he was one of the last to be done with it today, though he had an early start due to his preference of waking up early.
The man often did a few exercises to wake up his body in the morning and make sure he was in top condition, it could even be as little as a stretching, such as his hand going down to touch his toes and back up. His morning wouldn't be complete without a warm shower and a morning coffee, the former would come first, turning on the shower head which spewed warm water down onto the ground, being soaked up by the small drain at the bottom... it wasn't the most modern shower, but would do just fine.
(HP) "Good Morning, Martin." A voice would say as Martin would begin to brew a cup of coffee, and he knew who it was just by that accent
(MO) "Good Morning Hernán... A Nice day out from what I saw through the windows"
(HP) "Yeah, it is a great day to do some exploring and charting of the island"
(MO) "That is what we're going to be doing today?" Martin asked with a questioning tone, the brewer finished with pouring his warm and energising drink. Hernán had his own cup in hand and was clearly waiting for the same thing Martin had
(HP) "Mhm, This island hasn't been properly charted as of late.. we do need a good spot for Releases."
Martin would simply nod to that as he sat down on one of the chairs around the few of the tables in this room, taking a small drink of his coffee before opening one of the newspapers presented on the table.. and they were quite dated by maybe a decade? He had a good chuckle at that, but reading was reading. It was so odd reading such old things, though it wasn't something that he hated at all, and in fact liked seeing the old events that were pointed out for the daily newspaper.
Setting it aside for a moment and taking a drink of his coffee again, Hernán would sit down on his table, and through the door a few new faces would appear- clearly not the most cut out for the early morning.
"What Time is It..." One them asked, a younger woman who seemed to maybe even be slightly newer to this then Martin was
Hernán would be amused by this, but would answer kindly "6:43, its important we get our day started so early."
"I know... just not the best at mornings..." She would reply, this was Melia, as you could've guessed, a newer recruit who seems to not be so used to waking up in the early hours of the morning. Showing by her eyes being a little strained from the light, and her hair being somewhat of a mess. Though she was quite understanding of her situation, and knew that she would get better of it over time, much like Hernán would reply with.
(HP) "We all get used to it eventually." Hernán would say, a soft chuckle coming out of his mouth as he saw her go for the same place that he and Martin just had. He was a lot more equipped for the mornings and even had a new change of clothes on, which seemed more catered to hiking.
One of the two would sit down on the table, seeming more experienced then the other and not so fatigued at all, the other would brew themselves a cup of coffee. It was normal to not be used to the odd times that you would have to wake up at first, but eventually it does become like a routine- so much so that you're likely the first one in your family to wake up.

Though Martin would decide to want to feel the fresh air of the morning himself, and so left Hernán and Robert to speak to themselves, the new recruit named Melia just got her first drink of that vital caffeine that she'd require today.
Stepping outside and taking a look at the outside of the small compound, he mentally agreed with Hernán's earlier assessment- it was quite a warm day outside, and the smell of the various fruits and flowers which were nearby did make the area a little more enticing to be around. Sitting on a bench and taking a drink of his coffee again, he would see that there were a few other recruits outside, stretching, talking, or just admiring the outside that was the Rainforest and nearby Coast. One of the few was one that he recognized, and he would walk over to her- Juliet Cassani, she was quite surprised to hear the voice of Martin ask.
(MO) "What're you looking at out here?" Her surprised expression when she turned around to face him made him in a better mood, she gave a friendly and soft punch to his arm, before she turned back around to look out there.
(JC) "It's just so beautiful, and to think this island was just a mess of a place just a few decades ago"
(MO) "Just shows you what letting a place heal on its own can do to its health"
They would speak to each other for a short moment, staring out at the jungle which held all sorts of colours. Between the low to the ground ferns with eye-catching reddish oranges and yellows mixed with their green, the short shrubs covered with small berries, the tall trees which sometimes held the colourful fruit that some animals would die for, and the vines were confusing enough to be thought as a snake to Martin at first. Though he would notice its lack of movement, and with a keen eye, eventually realised his mistake, it was something he found a little interesting- that wildlife could mimic something so good, that we thought that one thing was another, when in all reality it wasn't.
(MO) "You hear what we're doing today?"
(JC) "Can't say that I have"
(MO) "We're going to be charting the island, from what Hernán said, looking for a good spot for later releases"
(JC) "That's great! I'm sure it's going to be an enjoyable experience for all of us"
(MO) "Some of us I'd reckon is more accurate, but yeah.. it should be in the next hour or so."
(JC) "Thanks for letting me know!"
(MO) "No Problemo"
The two would speak to each other again, Juliet turning around to face him to give more respect as they talked to one another. Eventually Martin would begin to walk away and give a salute like wave to Juliet, which she replied in kind. Taking the final sip of his coffee and realising that it was empty now, he would enter back in the small room the three were in before, and saw that it multiplied in number like Rabbits! Over 10 or so people were in the room at once and separated into their own small groups. Martin was surprised at the sudden large number of people, but most people did wake up at 7 and it was already 7:07.
Walking to the sink and setting his cup there, it would be fun to see everyone talking, though someone had caught his eye and he turned to see one of his older friends, as if he had met them quite a bit ago. They would be inviting him over to their table, he would walk over and sit down in a chair, a few other people were there who turned to him in a curious manner- wondering who he was.
(MO) "My name is Martin, nice to meet you two"
(JE) "Jacon Entein, that is my name- just call me Jacob though."
(RD) "you can refer me as Riliea, though my full name is Riliea Ditali"
The two would answer Martin, Jacob seemed like a strong man in a way, he was like your High School Jock and he can appear douchey at times, but he was a good guy and was that friend that you could always count on. While Reliea was quite a beautiful woman, someone that would be the most popular at a party- though she wasn't a snotty or annoying person, but was a refreshing person to be around and is really able to make an environment enjoyable. They seemed to be in a relationship at the moment and it was easy to tell how they easily fit for each other. Martin would nod and shake both of their hands, before he would begin to speak to his new friend group, ready for the start of a new day.
