The Adventurer's Guild

Condition and premise of skills

1. Active Skills have their own incantations. While most of the characters in the novel do not always call out the skill names or incantations to invoke the activation of these skills, they are usually done so in the world of Parvula.

2. Even without incantations, Skill names must be recited to be registered as use by the System.

3. Active Skills create Skill Circles to indicate their moment of activation. For skills that has cast times or require verbal activation, they can be interrupted with disruption skills.

4. When a character level ups, they gain 10 Skill Points (SP), and sometimes skills based on their race, occupation and or class.

5. Skills start with LV1 when learnt and have a max level of 10. The amount of SP required to level a skill up is equivalent to the current level they are at. When a LV10 skill is levelled up, it reaches LV MAX and cannot be increased any further.

6. LV MAX skills grant a skill bonus to the user.

7. A martial art practitioner or a melee combatant can use a set keyword at the start of their skill chants or incantations to add an effect to them.

"Delay": Bypasses skills that require chants to activate them instantly. Also causes the skill effect/s to last longer, but overall effectiveness would be reduced by 30%. This is done to bypass the need to repeat incantations and skill names in the heat of battle.

"Enchant": Increases overall effectiveness of a skill by 30%. Creates a skill lag that lasts for a few seconds at the end of it in exchange for the boost.

8. Summons and familiars are considered party members.

Combat Skills

Skills that interacts with HP and MP between characters (excluding skill costs)

Caustic Spittle - Active Skill. Instantly release a string of fast-acting acid onto a close target direction. Deals high sustaining AOE damage.

Skull Tormenting - Active Skill. Can only be used by a skeletal-type undead. Consumes 800 MP to encase the head of the user with a shell made from the Fog of Death, imbuing the attack with the Dark Attribute, raising 35% Puncture Chance and 40% Critical Chance. This skill cannot be interrupted, parried or stopped. Skill level affects chance rate.

Wind Blast - Active Skill. Concentrate a large amount of air within a location and release a spherical ball of condensed pressure to deal single target damage. Induces a knockback effect.

Breakmoon - Active Skill. Can only be used by a Sword Mage while the user controls one or more sword. Creates an invisible bubble around targeted sword/s and releases an expulsion force that deals Area-of-Effect (AOE) damage in a small radius around them.

Sword Rain - Active Skill. Can only be used by a Sword Mage while the user controls one or more sword. Drives targeted sword/s in the air downwards a set location nearby to deal single-targeted damage. Inflicts piercing damage. Skill level affects ability of independent control for each sword used in Sword Rain.

Sword Lunge - Active Skill. Can only be used by a sword-type class and when wielding a sword. Charges forward within a short distance while holding a sword through skill assistance. Inflicts piercing damage. Skill level affects charging speed.

Lightspeed Thrust - Active Skill. Can only be used by a sword-type class and when wielding a sword. The enhanced version of Sword Lunge. Increases Lightspeed Thrust's piercing damage by 10% at LV MAX.

Cross-slash - Active Skill. Can only be used by a sword-type class and when wielding two swords in both hands. Slices both swords downwards diagonally in an 'X' through skill assistance. Inflicts piercing damage. Skill level affects skill speed.

Diamond Dust - Active Skill. Throws a purple smokescreen of glitter that shrouds an area for a maximum of 20 seconds. Disables vision, summoner-links and puppetry-based skills, and deals a small amount of Damage-over-time (DOT) to characters inside of it. Diamond Dust can be dispersed through heavy action, inhalation, skill cancellation effects or wind-based skills. [2-minute cooldown]

Blade Whirlwind - Toggle Skill. Can only be used by a Sword Mage while the user controls one or more sword. Controls the momentum gradually of targeted sword/s in a clockwise spin. Deals parrying damage and deflects physical attacks. Blade Whirlwind reduces weapon durability when parrying, drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off, when the sword's durability reaches 0, or by activating another sword skill to stop the spin. 

Lesser Heal - Active Skill. Consumes MP to heal an individual party member's or the user's HP by a set amount. Targets with grievous wounded State receive 80% reduced healing. Skill level affects healing amount. Automatically learns Heal at LV MAX.

Heal - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a clerical-type class. The enhanced version of Lesser Heal. Skill level affects healing amount. Ignores grievous wounds at LV MAX.

Advanced Heal - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Bishop or a person with high values in their Holy Alignment. The enhanced version of Heal. Skill level affects healing amount. Automatically learns Status Cure at LV MAX.

Fireball - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Flame Wizard. Releases a ball of fire unto a target to deal magical damage. Has a chance to inflict Burnt State. Skill level affects Burn Chance and damage. Automatically learns Fire Blast at LV MAX.

Fire Blast - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Flame Wizard. The enhanced version of Fireball. Increases Fire Blast's Burn Chance by 30% at LV MAX. 

Fire Pillar - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Flame Wizard. Raises a thin wall of fire from the ground to deal AOE damage. Has a chance to inflict Burnt State. Skill level affects Burn Chance and damage.

Flame Vortex - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by an Flame Archwizard or a person with high affinity with the Spirit of Fire. The enhanced version of Fire Pillar, allowing for control of the skill's movement while it lasts for 5 seconds. Corrects Flame Vortex's Burn Chance to 100%, and unlocks the ability to create one more Flame Vortex in one cast at LV MAX.

Disruption Skills

Combat skills that induces Crowd Control (CC) unto characters

Psyche Swap - Active Skill. Once activated, it becomes a Toggle Skill. Exchange consciousness with another target and becomes a Foreign Element of the target's body to gain control of it. Personal parameters will be adjusted when soulbound-type effects are active.

Petrification Gaze - Active Skill. Maintain eye contact with any portion of a living body while uninterrupted for a set amount of time (this duration counts as cast time) to inflict the Petrified status on that area. Petrified areas are turned to stone and can only be healed through dispels or skill negation. Skill level affects cast time.

Wind Blast - Active Skill. Concentrate a large amount of air within a location while uninterrupted for a set amount of time (this duration counts as cast time) to release a spherical ball of condensed pressure to deal single target damage. Induces a knockback effect. Skill level affects cast time.

Blade Reaper - Toggle Skill. Consumes 10,000 MP to manifest a Reaper for 120 seconds. The Reaper parries and destroys 99% of incoming magic damage, and converts it into a duration extension for its summon period (1 second/500 damage destroyed). While the Reaper is active, the user cannot move on their own but skills can still be activated. At LV5, the Reaper can be recalled prematurely, and refunds MP back to the user based on the remaining duration left. (500,000-second cooldown)

Perfect Guard - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Hero. Negate any targeted attack or skill against hit for 5 seconds. [Cooldown: Unknown]

Communication/Detection Skills

Skills that increase awareness of characters

Telepathy - Toggle Skill. Communicate thoughts with a target character within speaking range. Telepathy drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off.

Tracking - Passive Skill. Increased proficiency in finding traces of life and the general directions of a target. Automatically learns Spatial Awareness at LV MAX.

Presence Awareness - Passive Skill. Increased proficiency in detecting living entities within a circle radius of the user. Skill level affects range limitations.

Spatial Awareness - Passive Skill. Increased proficiency in storing geographical memory through visual connection within a circle radius of the user. Skill level affects range limitations.

Hawkeye - Passive Skill. Increased proficiency in hand-eye coordination and farsightedness. 

Clear Eyes of a Saint - Active Skill. Cannot be activated at will and has unknown activation requirements. Induces the user into a state of omniscient perception, including the reading of vitals, HP and MP bars, rate of breathing and recovery.

Mana Condensation - Passive Skill. Ability to detect MP usage of below a certain amount and understand the constitution of the skill circle it is creating. Skill level affects the MP ceiling the skill can detect.

Life Essence - Passive Skill. Ability to gauge the remaining amount of a target's HP without using Status Check. Skill level affects the accuracy of the information seen.

Status Modifier Skills

Combat skills that uses status modifiers to influence the combat prowess of characters

Sword Mastery - Passive Skill. Increase proficiency in swordplay and range of swords the user can use efficiently.

Ignore Inertia - Passive Skill. Reduces the force of inertia acting on the user's body and improves the flow of transition between each physical movement.

Numbed Body Sense - Passive Skill. Reduces and weakens the sensitivity of the user's 5 senses.

Sword Dance - Toggle Skill. Can only be used by a Sword Mage while the user controls one or more sword. Lifts targeted sword/s in mid-air, suspended while uninterrupted for a set amount of time (this duration counts as cast time) to raise the attack of afflicted sword/s exponentially. Sword Dance drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off or activating another sword skill to stop the suspension. 

Harden Sword - Active Skill. Can only be used by a sword-type class and when wielding a sword. Increases the lethality of a sword multiplicatively to deal more damage but increases the weight of the sword.

Cutting Edge - Active Skill. The enhanced version of Harden Sword. Increases Cutting Edge's piercing damage by 10% at LV MAX.

Blade Current - Active Skill. Can only be used by a Sword Mage and when wielding a sword. Shrouds a draft of wind parallel to the blade of a sword until the swords touches something. Increased movement speed when moving along the direction of the current.

Battlecry - Toggle Skill. Increases the volume and tone of the user's voice while toggled on. Affected party members including the user in a radius gains a 5% increase to all stats for 60 seconds. Automatically learns Battle Roar at LV MAX. Skill level affects range limitations. Battlecry drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off.

Battle Roar - Toggle Skill. The enhanced version of Battlecry, granting a 10% increase to all stats for 60 seconds. Skill level affects range limitations. Battle Roar drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off. Increases Battle Roar's buff percentage by 10% at LV MAX. 

Battle Spirit - Toggle Skill. Can only be used by a leader-type class and when holding a faction-based weapon. The enhanced version of Battle Roar, granting a 40% increase to all stats for 60 seconds. Skill level affects range limitations. Battle Roar drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off. Increases Battle Spirit's buff percentage by 10% at LV MAX. 

Holy Spirit - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a War Maiden and when holding a faction-based weapon. Doubles existing buff durations and effects of all party members excluding the user in a radius for 60 seconds. Skill level affects range limitations. [2-hour cooldown]

Banner of Courage - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a War Maiden and when holding a faction-based weapon. Consumes 2,000 MP to grant Mind Resistance LV5 to all party members including the user for 5 minutes. [1-hour cooldown]

Banner of Protection - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a War Maiden class and when holding a faction-based weapon. Consumes 2,000 MP to grant Physical Damage Resistance LV5, Magic Damage Resistance LV5 and Displacement Resistance LV5 to all party members including the user for 5 minutes. [1-hour cooldown]

Banner of Attack - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a War Maiden class and when holding a faction-based weapon. Consumes 2,000 MP to grant a 50% increase in damage to all party members including the user for 5 minutes. [1-hour cooldown]

Slime Veil - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by the slime race. Target individual to create an intangible and transparent Slime Veil around them. Slime Veils last until target individual dies or experiences a debuff strong enough to negate the effects of Slime Veil. It copies all Passive Skills the caster owns over to the target individual. (Any Passive Skills that has the potential to expend resources which the target individual does not possess at the time of casting Slime Veil, will not be applied until Slime Veil is recasted with the target individual possessing enough resources to use the skill/s.)

Harden Skin - Active Skill. When activated, Harden Skin turns into a Passive Skill. Creates Armor Points (AP) for a set duration of time. AP is additional HP that converts 70% of the physical damage taken to the reduction of that value. Skill level affects the total amount of armor points gained by 100 progressively. 

Mana Angel - Passive Skill. Increases the MP cap of user by a set amount. Skill level affects the upper limit of the MP cap increase.

Indomitable Spirit - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Hero. Ignore all resistances of the user's next attack target for 5 seconds. [Cooldown: Unknown]

Enrage Blood - Active Skill. Once activated, it becomes a Toggle Skill that cannot be toggled off for 30 seconds. Induces the user into an enraged state, giving a sharp boost to all stats for the duration. Weapon penalty for lightweight weapons will be incurred during this duration (The user cannot equip them). Skill level affects duration of enraged state.

Resistance Skills

Skills that resists the effects of negative ailments

Physical Damage Resistance - Passive Skill. Increases chance for user to avoid physical damage.

Magic Damage Resistance - Passive Skill. Increases chance for user to avoid magical damage.

Displacement Resistance - Passive Skill. Protects the user from getting affected by displacement effects. Fully nullifies knockbacks at LV MAX.

Poison Resistance - Passive Skill. Protects the user from getting afflicted with Poisoned State from poison-based attacks.

Mind Resistance - Passive Skill. Protects the user from getting affected by Mind-based influences.

Mind Lock - Passive Skill. The enhanced version of Mind Resistance. Fully nullifies Mind-based influences at LV MAX.

Fire Resistance - Passive Skill. Protects the user from getting afflicted with Burnt State from fire-based attacks.

Ice Resistance - Passive Skill. Protects the user from getting afflicted with Frozen State from ice-based attacks.

Immortality - Passive Skill; Blessing of a Goddess. Whenever the user would lose all of their HP, HP loss will be resisted at 1. Consumes 20% of user's maximum mana automatically whenever possible to return to a previous state.

Shock Absorption - Active Skill. Creates a thin layer around the user's body that is consumed by the first physical attack that reaches its surface. Once consumed, the user briefly nullifies knockbacks for 2 seconds. Skill level affects duration of nullification period.

Utility Skills

Non-combat skills that influences the state of characters

Mind Projection - Toggle Skill. Convey a mental image without cooldown to a party member with no range limit.

Status Cure - Active Skill. Cures a target's status ailments based on their alignment. Does not have party member limitations.

Duality Status Cure - Active Skill. Ignores alignment limitations and cures a target's status ailments. Does not have party member limitations.

Negate Confusion - Active Skill. Dispel a state of panic or induced status ailments that cause it.

Repulse Beast - Passive Skill. Skill form of Repulsion Stones. Act as a repellent to monster. Skill level affects rank limitations.

Translocation - Active Skill. Consumes 50 MP to create a request window for a selected party member to teleport to the user's location. In the case of inactivity after 1 day of given the window for a teleportation request, the request for Translocation will be cancelled.

Potential Absorption - Passive Skill. Absorbs matter existing within the user's body to gain potentials of skills. Potentials can be converted to skills by absorbing the same type of matter for a set amount of times, starting with 1,000 times. Skill level affects the amount of matter required to gain a Potential.

Spatial Flow Control - Active Skill. Allows the user to use and wield weapons to attack with a mental link instead of holding them physically for a set period of time. Skill level affects duration of mental link.

Creation Skills

Skills that creates physical matter

Earth Sphere - Active Skill. Consumes earthen materials to create a spherical mass of dirt around the user that acts as the environment organically without consuming further MP to sustain it.

Sword Summon - Active Skill. Can only be used by a Sword Mage. Consumes MP to manifest the physical form of a copy of the user's currently equipped sword at a specific location around the user.

Sword Field - Active Skill. Can only be used by a Sword Mage. Consumes MP to manifest up to 5 physical forms of copies of the user's currently equipped sword at random locations around the user.

Alchemy - Interface Skill. Can only be used by a person with the alchemist title. User can collect concentrates and mix solutions with herbs and materials to create various potions and elixirs with varying effects (can range from healing to creating debuffs). Concoctions are recorded permanently in the Alchemy Window.

Conjure Flame - Toggle Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Flame Wizard. Creates a set volume of flames to activate fire-based magic without the use of a staff or wand. Conjure Flame drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off. Skill level affects the upper limit to the volume of flames created.

Unlimited Flames Conjuring - Toggle Skill. Can only be learnt and used by an Flame Archwizard or a person with high affinity with the Spirit of Fire. The enhanced version of Conjure Flame, allowing for any volume of flames to be created and with no cast time, limit, and chant restrictions. Unlimited Flames Conjuring drains MP while active and can be cancelled by toggling the skill off. Flames conjured turn into blue flames, which deal 20% more damage at LV MAX.

Equipment/Item Skills

Skills that are contained in a secondary medium 

Bloodwell Expend [Sword of Bloodwell/weapon] - Active Skill. Draws up the entirety of the most recently consumed victim and converts the power into a multiplier based on the victim's Rank, for 10 seconds.

Bloodwell [Sword of Bloodwell/weapon] - Passive Skill. Reduces Luck, Intelligence, all Defense stats by 5000 (Cannot go below 0). Increases Strength and Dexterity by 5000. Sword skills have 30% increased damage. Absorbing all the blood from a lifeform slain by Bloodwell will increase its attack permanently based on its rank.

Blessing of Snowfall [Snowfall/armor] - Passive Skill. Increase the potency of passive skills by 20%.

Enchanted Palladium [Harmony/weapon] - Passive Skill. Harmony does not lose durability.

Blessing of a Holy Elemental [Harmony/weapon] - Active Skill. Increase the potency of Holy Attribute abilities by 50%.

Sunlit Glory [Galatine/weapon] - Passive Skill. Attack speed is raised to 5 when under the sunlight.

Higher Honor [Gawain's Glory/armor] - Passive Skill. Resists projectile attacks that are Rank 5 or below.

Spectral Memory [dubbed] - While in the Field of Memories, Kuro can unleash the mental manifestions of White's inner demons created from intensively traumatic memories. Currently stores the Parasites Ru'Ah and Har'Lus, and the Abomination, these creatures created from Spectral Memory are invincible and immune to damage and resistance but cannot leave the Field of Memories.

Light Speed - Active Skill. Can only be learnt and used by a Hero. Triples the user's movement speed for 5 seconds. [Cooldown: Unknown]

Experience Gauge - 

Alchemy - Interface Skill. Can only be used by a person with the alchemist title. User can collect concentrates and mix solutions with herbs and materials to create various potions and elixirs with varying effects (can range from healing to creating debuffs). Concoctions are recorded permanently in the Alchemy Window.

Weapon Appraisal - Interface Skill. Opens up an Item Window that allows the user to see the name, durability, effects and condition of the weapon.

Singular Skill Manipulation - Interface Skill. Opens up a Skill Window that allows the user to learn skills temporarily in exchange for Skill Points (SP). Once learnt, the skill can no longer be purchased with SP again. These skills disappear from the user's Status Window when:

1. The skill is active and is used once.     2. The skill is a toggle and is toggled off.     3. The user runs out of MP to sustain it.

Clean Impurity - Active Skill. Clean impurities in the user's body without excreting them.

Cooking - Passive Skill. Increase proficiency in cooking.
