In a dark, dim basement, chanting could be heard. A lone House-Elf stood in the middle of a glowing circle, a variety of runes, plants, and objects could be seen placed at specific points of the magic circle. The chanting grew louder and louder as the saturation of magic in the air increased, the House-Elf in the middle of the circle had a pained look etched onto its features.
“-ego enim dabo items pro reditu hic in boon, ictum hostis pedem directo, comminuet eum.” With the final words of the ritual, a flash of blinding light exploded within the basement.
Coughing and the frantic gasps of the House-Elf could be heard throughout the basement, whatever devious ritual the House-Elf performed seemed to cause great pain. With the blessing of vision returning to the House-Elf, it pulled out a small mirror from within its clothing. The House-Elf held the mirror in front of its teeth, the normally basic teeth now resembling a sharks. With thin, pointed razor blades of death now being contained within the small mouth of the House-Elf.

“It worked, it worked!” The House-Elf shouted, its voice echoing throughout the basement. “On to the next one,” the House-Elf whispered to itself. It began to modify the magic circle it was standing within, the complexity increasing with each new rune introduced. The House-Elf ran out of the circle to a large, old book being held on a table nearby, the pages being flipped through rapidly as the House-Elf began to search for the required ritual.
The House-Elf stopped on a page titled ‘Devil Body.’ The ritual needing nothing but one's own flesh and blood in exchange for the boon. The House-Elf rushed to the middle of the circle and began chanting once again.
“Et dabit homo commutationem pro anima mea dolorem in carne virtutis causa nocere ei-” Unexpectedly the House-Elf bit its own tongue with its new teeth, stopping the ritual mid-chant. An explosion thundered within the basement, the House-Elf within the centre now only a pile of flesh.
