Chapter 1:
The bell rings.
The students begin to pacak their stuff, “And don’t forget to bring in your papers till the end of the week or else it will be graded as an F.” from the center of the lecture hall the teacher reminds them for what seems to be the 100th time for them. A student walks over to the teacher, it was Hayato Raiiki. He wore the usual school uniform, which consisted of the usual jeans, tie and a black blazer. (He is the only one who actually wears the tie). At first glance Hayato didn’t stick out much, well apart from his light red eyes, longish messy dark orange hair with a slight red gradient going to the tips of his hair. Hayato seemed like your average guy.
“Here you go sir, it’s already done.” I handed in the paper and walked out of the classroom. Already I knew what was going to happen as soon as I stepped outside of that door.
‘They are all so annoying, I just want to pass this shitty college in peace.’
And as I just thought, only after a few doors down they stopped me, “What’s up nerd, trying to be the teachers pet now?” This guy is sports tuition student and also an idiot. “Just let me leave.” I had zero will for this cunt today, “We don’t need any trouble.” when I said that he began to laugh.
“You mean YOU don’t want any trouble.” he slams the wall next to me, “I am not the one who is weak here.” I internally just sighed at this, “Just move you dumb meatloaf.” He didn’t seem to like my remark, “Oh now you’ve done it.” Seems like a single day can’t pass without, he swung his fist aiming at my abdomen.
I catch his hand to everyone’s surprise, as well as to my own to an extant, “Looks like the tables have turned.” Taking my thumb and pressing into his wrist I slowly applied more and more pressure. He began to fall to his knees, “Let go, let go!” Funny how now he is begging but seconds ago he was a hot shot, I pushed for a few more seconds before letting go, “Don’t worry, just ice it and it should be fine.”
Smirking I left the hall and building finally heading home after that whole waste of time. On the way home I was some high-school students walking around, but after around 30 minutes of walking I finally reached the forest near my home. We lived in more urban area of the city, my father said it was good for us to be near nature.
But then all of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my heart, almost like someone had just stabbed it with something, then my body began to feel extremely hot. To the point I thought that my insides were burning. Instead of walking further home I decided to head into the forest to avoid people just in case.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
I stumbled as I walked, my vision had gotten more and more blurry. Using the trees as supports I was able to walk, but after passing about ten trees I would see a bright light and almost as if he moved back. In those moments I didn’t stop moving, instead saying to myself, “It’s okay, I just need to walk it off.” How wrong I was.
Finally I had collapsed, my body couldn’t move any more.
Only after a few hours I awoke in a pile of burnt grass and leaves, worryingly I sat up quickly, looking around if there was anyone around. Slowly I caught my breath and finally began to assess the situation.
The leaves where he was lying seemed to have been burnt to a crisp, not even a conventional fire or lighter could cause this I thought. Then something caught my eye, there were some weird marking on the tree trunks. I got up a checked out, it wasn’t paint nor an engraving, it didn’t feel like it was on the tree. But then I looked around at the other trees along the path I took.
I focused my eyes on one of them and all of a sudden I appeared there. In that single instance I had already known what was going on. I fell down in disbelief, “It can’t be, it can’t be…” I kept repeating those words out loud. Not believing that had actually become a power bearer. After I bit I finally calmed down, “No one knows, I will just hide it.”
And so I cleaned myself up and headed back home.
Taking a deep breath I entered my home. “Oh are you finally home?” from inside the house my mothers voice echoed. I walked into the living room which was connected to a kitchen, I waved as I walked in “Yeah, sorry for coming home so late.” My dad was sitting on his usual seat, reading the new issue of the news paper.
He looks me up and down squinting, “Have you put on some muscle?” I was surprised by him asking, “Maybe I did I bit passively, I guess.” He sticks out his fist, “Go change, your mom was waiting for you to come home for us to eat.”
I bump his fist, “I’ll be right there.”
This was all I wanted to keep after becoming a power bearer, just keep this normality. I wish it was like that, but back then I at least enjoyed it.
Chapter 1.5:
And so few days passed and I had started to actually learn about this power I got. At first I had thought it was just a simple teleportation, but it had way more aspects. I tried many things in this forest, in a way it became like my own territory.
I threw a knife around 10 meters away from me, then focused on it’s mark. In a flash again it appeared in my hand, but both where it was stuck in and along the path it would take to get me were scorched.
That was one of the first was that the actual teleportation created like an electric energy, though I couldn’t properly test it due to it only appearing for a split moment. Next I threw the knife and while it was flying through the air, I teleported to it mid air, both stopping the dagger and bringing me to it’s location.
Last thing would be that I can place, so far as I know, an unlimited amount of these teleportation marks. Even being able to apply them just with my step and every touch.
Through all of my testing so far I had found no limits.
