After I defeated the knight armored bug, the rest of the bugs retreated to the water in a hurry. The bugs know that they have no chance against the attacker and have to retreat to preserve their numbers , this show their intelligence.

Most of monster in C-B rank have some level of intelligence and can make some simple strategies ,such retreating when they are in disadvantage. The armored bug are only a D rank monster alone but they always come in group and only hunt humans when they have clear advantage, that's why they are classified as C rank.

The bugs follow a hierarchy based on the strength and in thousand armored bugs there will surely be knight armored bug which is classified as C rank alone.

I raised my gaze and saw that the newbies hunters were sitting not far from the place where I fought , its clear that they have not did what I told them to do, to retreat back.

"Get up and quickly retreat back to the wall "I told them as walk closer to them. They just look me in a daze and confuse eyes as if trying to understand what I just said.

"The monster have already retreated and the material of armored bug especially that big bug will surely be worth a lot, we can retreat back later" said the "Sword Cultivator" as he was the first to regain his calm.

"It's clear that you people really are amateurs" I said to them with in a strict tone " They did not retreat back to run, they are regrouping to their herd and will surely comeback with more bugs and there's a possibility that a commander will accompany them" I said sternly to emphasize my warning and the urgency of the it.

It's look they finally understand their situations because their expression show some panic and they stand up ready to retreat back "Go!" I yelled which made them started running.

I on the other hand just retreated back to the rocks and hide. I have hunt in this location for a few years already and I know how the bug operate. I allowed the the remaining bugs to retreat is for a the reason that I know they will come back with more.

My real targets are the knight armored bugs because the normal bugs don't really worth a lot so if I want to earn money I have to kill knight armored bugs, I was also hoping that a commander really come as there are a rich client that will pay for it's horn for a good price.

I have already killed a commander a few weeks back but the client rejected because it's "battered like a it don't look like a horn anymore" , it's clear he just want to lower it's value so I sold it to the old man in the artificer shop. I admit it's a little damage, but to call it not looking as horn anymore is to much.

After waiting for a few minutes the armored bug started to emerge from the water and crawl to the shore. Their numbers have doubled , of about a hundred or so,and after a few second two knight appear in the back of the group. It seems that a commander did not appear this time but I cannot do anything about it so I can just make do with the two knight.

I allow them to walk closer as they are investigating the marks left on the sand and rocks, they clearly looking for traces that they can use to track the attacker. I allowed them to walk a few meters away from the water to prevent them from retreating back to the water quickly.

I climb atop the rock on where I was hiding and prepare to attack . The spirit avatar appear on my back like a ethereal red mist with the image of a warrior. A wind up and put strength von my legs and jump up, my aim are the two knight in the back and with a roar my body I force my power to circulate my body rapidly, my body emit a red steam and my skin glow fiery red showing the heat of the energy under them. As I fall down with force a of few hundred kilograms of force and smash the back of the first knight bug.

Bang !

The force from my attack slammed the bug down to the ground and burying it a little bit on the ground incapacitating it with a rebound force I jump back in a twist a wind up my next attack.

Creek!!

The second bug swing it's pincer at me from behind with a clear killing intent , I duck to dodge the attack and did a spin attack to hit the joint on it pincer with an intentions to disarm it.

My attack hit and the second knight bug was force to step back with a screech, the small bug have been alerted and the closet one leap forward to me to attack,

Swoosh ~ bang !!

I swing and send it flying to the rest to impend their advance and prevent them from overwhelming me with numbers and then I twist to land a finishing hit on the first bug which is struggling to stand up. I raised my weapons and activate one of the markings on the body of the spirit avatar, a marking with an image of a mountain light up and it's light shot out and covered my weapons.

With the enhancement of the markings , the baton in my hand became heavier by ten fold giving it a weight of about a hundred kilograms each , I swing with a roar and smash it on the back of the bug squashing it with the sheer weight of my attack and then I twist with spinning motion I aim for the second knight with the intention to used the remaining momentum to finish the both the second knight tried the block but it's cannot move it's pincer and it's only hanged from it's shoulder so it just change at me with a loud screech , its clear that even if it knows it cannot survive it's ready to bring me with it by slamming it's body to me.

But the momentum from my weapons contain a weight and force above hundreds of killograms from which lead for it to be sent far on the air and it land on the trees about a hundred meters from the scene,

dead. Afterwards I deactivate the mark on the weapons and focus my attention to the remaining hundred or so armored bugs that are clearly in frenzy because of fear and panic, I smash the down one by one and finish them all I a few minutes.
