I added four more Runes besides the [Rune: Whiskey] and [Rune: Energizing Chicken] to my arsenal before I began my escape. I learned I could only make the impression so big when I tried to summon a truck and it summoned a toy the size of my paw. That was one orb wasted, but I would make the most out of this itty bitty thing.

[Rune: Healing Ham] would pop out a slice of ham I could eat to regain my health; [Rune: Sneezer] would summon a Sneezer; [Rune: Helping Hand] would summon a little hand that would help me do things.
I would’ve created more, but I was so rudely interrupted by a baby warrior coming to take me for the ritual. Since the first baby monk, the fairies decided that anyone who could do magic could no longer be trusted to handle me alone. Instead, I got this hulking thing with a freaky looking helmet dragging me around, my chain held firmly in its gauntleted fist.
It would be my first victim.
“Hey,” I barked. “Hey, look at me, ya big oaf!”
The baby warrior snapped something and yanked on my chain. I dug my hind paws into the ground to keep me from stumbling forward and mentally ordered all twenty Sneezers I’d prepared beforehand out of my hoard. I ducked down, covering my nose with my front paws as the vicious plants twitched on the ground.
But they never released their sneezing pollen.
The baby warrior snarled and stepped forward with its first raised to hit me. Out of the corner of my eye, a single petal on a Sneezer was disturbed, shifting barely a millimeter.
Clouds of pollen sprang into the air, covering both me and the fairy.
I heard the baby warrior hacking and coughing; this much pollen in the air could not be good for it. But that wasn’t my problem; I had to get out of here. Three [Rune: Helping Hands] popped into existence and waved the pollen cloud away from me. I stood once I was clear of the mess, shaking the pollen off of my paws.

Frowning down at the still wheezing baby warrior, I ordered the Hands to knock the thing unconscious and went looking for a way out of this place.
I continued the usual route to the ritual room and stopped at the crossroads. To the left would lead me to the treasure room, which was right before the ritual room. It was jam-packed with skulls, gold coins, and books.
I had not ventured to the path in front or to the right, however. I considered going straight, but I'd occasionally seen troops of baby warriors come from that path. Very few of them, however, came from the right, so I headed that way.
My little paws padded gently on the stone floor as I walked down the hallway. The torches that hung on the wall flickered ominously the further I got; the creepiness of it all sent chills down my spine. After I'd wandered the hall for a while I started to pick up smells.
I’d noticed that my sense of smell had picked up tremendously. I knew the smell of baby monks by heart and I could recognize the scent of baby warriors after a second or two.
These scents did not smell like the fairies. It felt...weird, honestly. Like I was sniffing pepper or cinnamon. Something with a kick to it. I didn’t know what it was, but it stirred a little something in me.
I picked up the pace, eager to reach where ever that spicey aroma was. Turning the corner, I came across the most disgusting scene I’d ever witnessed.
What in tarnation is this place?
There were multiple pens, each holding ten dragons. All the dragons were much larger than me, probably adults. They were crawling over each other, making disturbing noises as they moved together. One pair looked particular into it, with the one on the bottom practically growling its heart out while its partner was going down on it like a jackhammer. That spicey scent was from the fluids splattered on the floors of the pen.
The two fairies in the room stood by the pen, nonchalantly observing this revolting scene. They were dressed like the shepherds in the Bible books I read in Sunday school, right down to the staffs they used to prod the dragons lagging behind back into the frenzy.
Footsteps snapped me out of my daze. I hurried over to a shadowy corner between the first pen in the room and the hallway I’d entered through. I prayed sincerely that I would stay hidden and clean in this hiding spot.
In walked a small squadron of four baby warriors, led by the familiar switch holder and the baby monk that froze me the two times before. I slunk back further into the shadows, keeping my eyes trained on the baby monk. He would be my most dangerous opponent.
The baby monk grimaced as the hem of its robe touched the edge of a puddle and waddled to the side. When it was safe, it looked up at the baby shepherd that had come to greet them.
«Ɛກ٥ᵁՑ𐒅,» the switch holder snarled. «⏉𐒅ᕦ բᕦᕦ𝛛ÍກՑ ꙎᕦລﮐԵ 𐒅ລﮐ ᕦﮐ८ລꝓᕦ𝛛! 工 ഡລກԵ ÍԵ բ٥ᵁກ𝛛 Íനനᕦ𝛛ÍລԵᕦℓჸ.»
The baby shepherd frowned and crossed its arm. «工Ե 𐒅ລﮐກ'Ե ८٥നᕦ Ե𐒅Íﮐ ഡລჸ, ᗰລ𝛛ລന.»
«Ɗ٥ 工 ८ລ٢ᕦ? ႰᵁﮐԵ բÍກ𝛛 ÍԵ!»
The baby shepherd bobbed its head up and down, slapping its left cheek three times before it and its partner ran off toward the opposite hallway. The switch holder snapped a few orders at the rest of the fairies, pointing wildly as it talked. Two baby warriors went after the baby shepherds, two sprinted back the way they came before, and one stayed behind with the switch holder and the baby monk.
Great. I was up against a magic-user, an opponent with range (that switch was long), and the biggest fairy I’d seen since coming here.
Welp, the baby monk had to go first. I wouldn’t stand much of a chance if I was frozen. While their backs were turned, I ordered the Hands to fly as fast as they could toward the baby monk and punch it hard in its head, chest, and stomach.
The Hands were fast, but not fast enough. The baby warrior moved quicker than I thought its body was capable of, its sword slicing the Hands out of the air. It slowly turned to face where I was hiding, only to catch five more Hands to the face.
It managed to slice one before he was thrown back into a dragon pen. The first mission accomplished, the Hands split into two groups and flew toward the baby monk and the switch holder.
The baby monk stumbled back and threw out its hands, it's high pitched voice shrieking, «Кລ٢ລՑÍﮐÍﮐ, ᗰລﮐԵᕦ٢ ٥բ Ꞇ𐒅٢٥ກÍﮐÍﮐ ﮐລჸﮐ ﮐԵລჸ!»
The spell only caught one of the Hands while the other one flew straight and true, slamming into the baby monk's nose. The contact made a sickening crunch as the Hand plowed through its apparently soft skull and out the back.
Bile rose in my throat as I watched the tiny body fall to the ground, headless.
