"Seems my Hexa number is displaying correctly now... unless I was under the influence of a debuff earlier...," Zalroth muttered aloud, a thought crossing his mind as he recalled the skill/abilities he recently acquired. He glanced around, scanning the area for any signs of monsters, but didn't see anything of note.

"It's right in here!" Zalina stated excitedly. She smugly pointed down a cave tunnel before flying into the room.

Inside the room, Chronia's eyes sparkled, her gaze locked onto the towering piles of bronze/silver/gold coins and completely overlooking any of the equipment in the coin piles. She sprung on the coins, swiftly opening her Inventory and hauling the coins en masse into it. Zalroth lightly rocked his head from side to side as he waited for Chronia to get her fill of treasure collecting. Zalroth felt a small hand touch his face before Zalina grabbed his cheek and pulled at him to get his attention. Zalroth glanced at her and she immediately let go before fluttering over to the handles of the two swords.

"These are the best ones," Zalina stated, smugly swaying her hips from side to side, while standing on the sword handle with a dark purple leather handle grip. Zalroth rolled his eyes as he walked over to the swords. Zalina whisked herself away from the swords, landing on a pile of coins beside them and sat down.

Zalroth grabbed the handles of the swords and tried pulling them out of the treasure pile, briefly falling forward as the swords barely budged. He mentally sighed, lightly rubbing his wrists, as he stifled a pained expression before Chronia shrieked in terror as she watched Zalina munch through a gold coin. As Chronia rushed over and struggled to pry the gold coin from Zalina's vice-like jaw, Zalroth rolled his eyes dismissively while grabbing the two sword handles again.

Using the two girl's bickering as an incentive, Zalroth channelled all his strength into his hands and legs before activating Frostbite Armament (Level 2) and stacking all the Accel Drives (Level 2) he could in a single moment. The swords mildly jostled as Zalroth continued to pull on them before there was a double pop. The pop gave Zalroth a mild sense of dread as he fell backwards and crashed on the ground, flinging coins into the air, with the tips of the swords pointing to the ceiling.

(One sword is a greatsword; it has a dark purple blade covered in large glowing jagged claw mark-like engravings, a jagged black semi-circle-shaped hand guard, five hexagon-shaped aventurines organised to look like a V, a dark purple leather-covered handle, and a large black metal ring-shaped pummel with a large and long dark grey marble chain attached to it which is coiled around the entire sword)

(The other is a longsword; it has a golden blade covered in glowing white runes, a frilly white semi-circle-shaped hand guard, a large hexagon-shaped ruby in the middle of the hand guard, a golden leather-covered handle, and a white pummel with a hexagon-shaped ruby. There is also a dark grey pedestal with a glowing white engraving of a V with two dashes through each line)

Zalroth staggered to his feet, keeping his grip on the sword handle ferm, and stared at it as he used his Quick Appraisal skill on the swords. He silently stared at the two Mini Status panels, mentally juggling whether to say anything or keep what he saw to himself. Zalroth aggressively shook his head, wondering to himself why that question even entered his mind.

"Woah!" Chronia announced excitedly. Zalroth peered over, sighing in relief at seeing Chronia's excited remark was from finding a mini solid gold cat statue. Zalroth waved away the Mini Status panels and rose to his feet as Chronia and Zalina raced each other to gather as much loot for themselves: Chronia using her Inventory and Zalina eating them.

After only a few minutes, the cave loot room had been completely ransacked of any valuables with the only remaining loot being the two swords floating by Zalroth's back in a cross formation. Zalroth and Chronia stared at his hand, watching Zalina lying on it like a lethargic seal while groaning in both parts fatigue and exhaustion.

"Urrg... even for a Fae of Fortune, I think I ate too much," Zalina said weakly, with enough vigour in her eyes to show she didn't regret it. She faintly raised her hand to Zalroth, her thirty-minute life flashing before her eyes, before she dropped her arm and dramatically acted out her death.

"What a drama queen," Chronia remarked playfully, lightly nudging Zalroth as he was silently staring at Zalina.

"If you say so," Zalroth replied apathetically as he placed Zalina into his blazer's chest pocket. He added, "Are you satisfied now?". Chronia smugly grinned, the thought of messing with Zalroth too strong to resist but Zalroth's serious demeanour made her think twice.

"Yeah... I guess so," Chronia mumbled with a small smirk. However, her smirk slowly faded as a thought occurred to her, "You remember the way back, right?". Zalroth's serious demeanour shattered, Chronia's question sending a wave of unease through him, as he realised he hadn't paid attention to the path Zalina took to get them to the loot cave.

Eventually after many dead ends, low-level monster encounters, and an hour of walking, the duo emerged from the iron and silver cave before letting out a defeated sigh together.

"How'd we end up at the same dead end five times?" Chronia grumbled, her exhausted eyes drifting to Zalroth and noticing the magic swords still floating behind him.

"Yes?" Zalroth asked, making Chronia flinch at being caught staring.

"What's with the swords being out of your inventory?" Chronia asked puzzledly, waggling her hands in the swords' vague direction. Zalroth shrugged his shoulders.

"Living things can't be put in our Inventories," Zalroth stated calmly as he walked past Chronia. Chronia nodded contently but as she thought over Zalroth's explanation her nodding slowed.

"Wait... a minute," Chronia grumbled as she shuffled after Zalroth, constantly trying to ask him to explain himself. He dismisses her by saying the answer is so obvious her questions must be rhetorical. Chronia huffed in frustration, crossing her arms, and said she wouldn't talk to him for the rest of the way back. Chronia's statement left Zalroth in utter confusion, managing to make his brain shortcircuit, and she couldn't hold back her smirk at seeing her desired reaction from Zalroth.

As the sun was practically past setting and only a small amount of red filled the sky, the duo returned to the clearing campsite filled with tent-like wooden huts covered in linked leaves covers.

"Seems the gang made the camp faster than expected," Zalroth remarked with a mild hint of surprise in his voice.

"Well, it's bound to be faster than our time on that class camping trip with our new magical buffs," a cheerful kid voice stated. Chronia nodded, turning her head in the direction of the voice before seeing the glowing purple eyes within a pitch-black void staring straight into her soul. Chronia went pale, her soul leaving her body, and slumped to the ground like a wet noodle as Zalroth and Yai Kiaria stared down at her.

(Yai Kiaria is an older teenaged female ex-human with the appearance of a nine-year-old human; she has elbow-low bleach-white fuzzy hair with a slightly slime-looking appearance which splits into seven parts, bright bioluminescent purple eyes with pitch-black scleras, and super pale skin)

(Yai Kiaria is wearing an oversized white short-sleeved shirt)

"...". Zalroth stared at Yai, watching her eyes grow wider and wider with glee, before sighing in resignation.

"Fine, I'll ask; what happened?" Zalroth asked rhetorically. Full of glee, Yai happily threw her slime/gelatin hands up, with her body wobbling like jello, as she showed off her new form.

"I'm glad you asked; while me, Metsu, and Kaze were gathering food and hunting, we ran into a white slime," Yai said with a chirp in her voice.

"And?".

"It ate me, leading to me needing to steal Neil's shirt which came with an unexpected bonus if you ask me, hehe," Yai remarked cheekily as she snuck a glance at the shirtless Neil, who had become slightly buffer from his constant wood chopping.

"Right...? So, I take it your Class has something to do with your new appearance?" Zalroth asked, to which Yai nodded smugly.

"You bet. While you were gone, Haruko cooked up the direwolf meat you gave him. So when I ate it I became all furry and got some skills from it.".

"Then?".

"Then I got the idea if I ate the core then it kill the slime or at least make me immune to being dissolved and whatnot," Yai added, finishing by stating the slime exploded and ruined her uniform beyond even threads. Zalroth rubbed his head and asked Yai if she intentionally got eaten, making Yai gasp in shock.

"How-?".

"The direwolf gave you the skill to detect creatures didn't it?" Zalroth stated sternly, leaving Yai to sulk in uttered embarrassment at being exposed as she melted into the shape of a puddle and covered the dazed Chronia.
