"What should we do with his weapons Sir?” It was a young man asking, Private First Class Sampson.
“Leave them there soldier. He left them there and I am positive he would be upset if we moved them.” It had been about two and a half hours since he had ordered his men to pack up and get moving. They were now ready to leave. All the civilians were in the middle of the convoy in the bigger vehicles for more protection.
His men were doing a final sweep of the area before they left. The only thing they found that was of any importance was Luke’s weapons. “Are you sure sir? Those things might be back and we could use his weapons until he returns.”
“It would most likely cost you your life Private, leave them there. That’s an order.” Captain Todd knew the young man just wanted them for himself, but Captain Todd wasn’t about to upset his new friend.
“I think I will take these, master would love them as new toys.”
“I said no Private, and what the hell do you mean master?” Captain Todd turned around to see two men standing around Luke’s weapons, and a third crouched down looking at them. The two of them that were standing looked over at him and smiled; showing two rows of sharp teeth. “Men these three are fighting against us, open fire!!” Todd yelled as he drew his pistol. He got two shots off before he realized they weren’t standing in the same place anymore. “Form a defensive ring. Those three need to be killed as soon as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
As Captain Todd began to run towards his men he felt a hand grab his right shoulder. He thought since there he had momentum he could keep running but he was wrong. He didn’t even notice until he was on the ground but his feet had shot out in front of him. It felt like he had been shot he knew from the pain his shoulder had been dislocated.
“Ohh poor human, not to quick are you. Now that I think about it the master doesn’t need these toys, I’ll keep them and use them for myself.” The creature speaking was standing over him. He had one of the fist blades Luke had used in his left hand. Its eyes were pitch black, Captain Todd couldn’t tell because he was on the ground but he guessed his attacker was around 5’6”. “If we kill the wolf we can keep these toys.”
“I don’t like the ones I picked up. There too heavy to use, I can barely lift them, you should trade me.” Captain Todd couldn’t see the one talking but he could guess what it was talking about.
He looked over to see his men lined up waiting for his signal to shoot. He nodded his head and 20 rifles went off at once. Captain Todd turned around to see that the one who attacked him and one other had gotten out of the line of fire, but the one holding Luke’s two swords hadn’t been able to move fast enough. It was filled with bullet holes but it didn’t bleed. Turning its head to the side questioningly it smiled and fell backwards. Todd stood up, grabbed his dropped pistol and walked over to the downed beast. He put his entire clip into its head before he started walking back to his men.
“Are you ok captain?” It was 1st Lt. Thompson asking
“Feels like I ran into a house but I will be ok.”
“Sir we need to leave now, those things could be back at any time. We got lucky with the one we killed but I doubt we could kill those other two.” It was spoken matter of factly, no fear in his voice.
“Let’s move our men. We need to leave now.” As Captain Todd spoke those words he saw one of the creatures behind 1st Lt. Thompson, before he could say anything its hand was through his back and sticking out of his chest. The vampire smiled directly at Captain Todd and was gone before Thompson hit the ground.
It was like time was frozen Captain Todd could see the vampires appear and disappear but there was nothing he could do about it. His men began falling dead around him. Their heads had either been sliced, ripped off or a hole had been punched through their chests. In a matter of mere seconds he was the last one standing, the two vampires were right next to him, one on his right the other on his left. He could feel the evil radiating out of them. “Kill me quickly you disgusting creatures. At least my death will be honorable. You two will be killed like the dogs you are.”
“Us, killed? I’m sorry human but you’re greatly mistaken. We are immortals our master has given us the power to kill anyone and anything. We decided to start with your men, as a fun warm up.” The vampire on his left began licking the blood off of its fingers while the other one kept talking. “You see we didn’t have to kill your men, the master didn’t care about you. We were just supposed to kill the one who took our sister. But as you can tell he isn’t here, so you will be our play thing until he arrives.”
“I suggest you stop focusing on the humans and deal with the one behind you.” Captain Todd turned around to see Luke standing there hold two giant swords in his hands. He was only wearing jeans. The swords were at least six feet long; he was holding them in a casual position, like he didn’t fear the two in front of him. The sword in his right hand he had resting on his shoulder, while the other’s tip was on the ground. He didn’t look like he was ready to fight, but like he was bored and didn’t want to be there anymore.
“Luke they killed all my men, one of them is using your hand blades. There too fast you can’t beat them with those heavy swords.” He sounded scared.

“Captain please, these two pushovers couldn’t harm me if I had no weapons and was naked in the forest. With these babies,” he lifted up his swords and twirled them, like they weighed nothing at all. “Those two won’t even get near me.” He started to laugh. Then suddenly he was gone.
The two vampires disappeared as well. Captain Todd herd metal clang together and grunts of physical exertion. Then a body fell from the sky, cut into fourths, it landed with four separate thumps.
Captain Todd knew he was safe, Luke was unbeatable.

Anger, the burning inside him; hatred towards all whom got in his way, and the urge to kill everything in his path, that is all he felt. He slowly opened his eyes, there was only darkness, and then there was confusion. He should be able to see in the darkness he knew. Focusing his eyes he could make out the cave he was in, besides four bodies he was the only one in it. It took him a moment to realize who and what he was.
He had been thought of as a god at one time. He had lived for almost three millennia; while he slept he could tell his body had still grown in strength.
“Quare I excitatus?” the creature spoke in Latin, his words shook the entire cave, “consurgant filii mei mortem nos agere.” The four bodies began to stir; one by one they began to rise, feeling the emotions of their creator. One by one they began to stand up.
“Domino meo: Quid interrogas nos?” All four spoke in unison, again in Latin.
Kneeling in front of their master he gave them a single command. “Nos Provocat, qui occidunt.”
They all rose to their feet in less than an instant and again spoke together. “Dominus fiet, sicut praecepi tibi.” Then all four were gone.
The master closed his eyes and began mentally searching the country for his prey. He felt two extremely strong energies. One he had sent his children to dispose of, the other he decided he would challenge on his own. “Id desiderare.” He spoke under his breath. And he too was gone.

Finally he thought to himself, his opponents were actually fast enough he could fight without having to slow down. They were actually dodging his attacks. They weren’t challenging him in any way, he knew they would die and not get a hit in but it was just the fact that they were getting stronger that made him happy.
He used his two great swords like no one else could. Spinning them like they were rapiers, and putting them against the side of his arms like police batons, it was like a dance the way he moved and attacked. At least that is what the opponents who faced him and lived had said.
He did a double overhead strike from the air to the vampire on the ground that was using his hand blades, hoping to kill him quickly to regain his weapons. The vampire blocked perfectly, taking almost all the force of his blows and redirecting it, but it wasn’t enough. The force of Luke’s attack still shattered his right forearm. The bones were sticking out of his arm at multiple angles. Luke twisted the blades so they were against his forearms and front flipped over his opponent. The other vampire had jumped up to strike from above; Luke landed and shot straight up. He twisted in the air striking with both blades against his airborne opponent. He slashed with his right arm first, the vampire barely dodged, Luke took the blade and flipped his grip; doing an overhead strike with his right arm. His second strike didn’t miss; it cut the vampire cleanly in half. Luke knew he was dead but decided to strike again anyways. He took his left arm with the sword still up against his forearm and slashed again at the vampire, slicing him in half through the midsection.
Luke didn’t have time to watch his enemies body pieces fall to the ground. He was attacked by the vampire with his hand blades. Even though his forearm was broken he attacked with an incredible fury. His left hand was moving extremely quickly, Luke decided it was only out of fear that the creature fought this way. He was easily blocking the attacks with his double great swords; he had them against his forearm again making it easier to stop his opponent’s strikes. He decided he would let his enemies anger wear out and kill him at his leisure.
The vampire’s fury was played out in less than a minute. Luke decided it was time to end it. He took his two swords and attacked. He used his right sword to trap the vampire’s hand blade by slashing at him; his left sword stabbed him in the chest, killing him instantly.
Luke cleaned his two swords on the dead vampires shirt, he then sheathed them and picked up his hand blades. After inspecting them he walked over to Captain Todd. “You’re lucky you survived, and you’re welcome by the way. For saving your life and all, I’m guessing you and your men didn’t pack up fast enough.”
“You’re a very arrogant man, did you know that? And no we were ambushed by those three before we could leave.” Then suddenly Captain Todd’s face looked horrified and he began frantically checking his men for signs of life, like the shock that they were dead had just hit him. “Please help me, we can save them if there still alive!”
“Captain they’re already dead, the vampires wouldn’t strike unless it was to kill. You need to get the rest of your men and these civilians out of here. If my information is correct we have killed six of twenty. There our fourteen still out there Captain; your men were mauled down by three. I can’t protect you from so many enemies.” His voice was mono toned again, no emotion. It was like death didn’t faze him.
Captain Todd was sitting on the ground with his head in his hands. He wasn’t crying but he was shaking violently. “I want to kill them all, make me like you, please. They deserved to live, and now they will never feel anything again. Make me a monster like you are, I want to fight them beside you, I want to end their miserable existences.”
Luke sighed, and walked over to the Captain. “You have not lived one tenth of the life I have, and trust me you do not want to live like me. You would feel regret the moment you completed your task, and you would hate me for changing you. I have sworn to never turn anyone, and I will not make an exception for you.” His hand was on Captain Todd’s shoulder. “But if you really truly wanted it I’m sure the vampires would love to have you on there side.” Captain Todd looked up to see Luke smirking at him.
Captain Todd stood, “You also have a horrible sense of humor Luke,” he chuckled, then became serious, “you have saved my life and I owe you, how can my remaining men and I help?”
“Well lets see, first you can leave this country as quickly as you can. Then when you get back to the states I want you to build a statue of me and begin worshipping me as a god. I also want you to get as many people as you can to believe I am a god, and then I want you to forget you ever met me and live your life. You get all that? Shouldn’t be too hard; except building the statue I want it to be giant! That may cost you a pretty penny or two, but I did save your life so it must be done.” Luke was talking with his hands, waiving them in the air.
Captain Todd just stood staring at Luke for a good minute, not saying anything. Luke just stared back and smiled with child like innocence.
“So what you’re really saying is that you want me to leave and forget that I ever saw you?”
“Precisely my dear boy, spot on. Be a good chap and do it on the double.” He said that in a perfect British accent. He turned around and began to walk away.
“I am glad to have met you Luke,” The Captain said in a hushed voice, trying to hide his smile. “You’re going to kill them aren’t you?”
Luke waved his right hand over his shoulder and said “They will be killed so painfully and is such a way that every one of them still living will be begging for me to kill them quickly.” He looked over his shoulder and smiled. “Don’t worry my friend; this is one thing I will not fail in.”
Then Luke was gone, in a blur of motion and he had disappeared. Captain Todd knew he would never see Luke again, he also knew that the rest of the vampires were going to be killed in such a way it would make serial killers sick to their stomachs. He turned around and started walking back to the camp, just as the other 36 of his soldiers arrived at the massacre site.
