As he ran outside he had to force himself not to change, the urge the pull on his soul telling him to transform himself, into his true self. The urges had become stronger in the last three months, almost like an outside force was compelling him to turn and to kill. He knew he could resist it, he was strong, and it was beyond physical strength. Being as old as he was, he knew he could control the urge; after all he had been for so long. Usually when he felt it he would shut it down, completely get the thought out of his mind. Then if he felt he wanted to change he would, not into an uncontrollable creature like he would have if he changed when he had felt the primal urge, but into a thinking, calculating creature of death and destruction, but not this time.
This time he wanted to use his new weapons. He had been training with them for a few months now and wanted to use them in real combat. He was an expert hand to hand fighter having spent over a century learning everything he could from all sects of martial arts. Those included Shaolin kung fu, the five animal kung fu styles, Tai Chi, Muay Thai kick boxing, Wing Chun, Judo, and Kendo. More recently he had learned Jeet Kune Do and American Kenpo. His hand and feet were deadly weapons even when he wasn’t transformed. He had also spent over 100 years of his life mastering weapons, his favorite was using two of the two handed great swords, because of his strength they seemed light to him and their length made them perfect weapons. He carried no fire arms as he deemed them useless on the battlefield and a human’s toy. The weapons he now carried were new to him, he hadn’t found anything out there like them before so he had them custom made out of palladium, a small fraction of silver, and a mixture of other metalloids. It is a type of metallic glass that is almost indestructible. It had cost him over $500,000 per blade but it was well worth it. They had cut through everything he had put them up against including a titanium alloy blade he had also purchased.
As he ran through the camp he noticed that all of the soldiers were forming up around the perimeter in a very organized fashion. Maybe he had been too hard on the captain he thought to himself. His men were well trained and extremely organized, especially for the situation they were in. “Duck!!” he yelled out to the soldiers in front of him. He leaped over them and an SUV to land on the outside of the soldier’s perimeter. He pulled his two new weapons off his hip and looked to his first target. He decided he would kill as many of the pawns as he could to draw out the leader, hopefully angering him into making a mistake. His only goal at that moment was to kill the one in charge, even if it meant killing every one of the things on the field; it had to be done. That was his mission, the only reason he had come to this country; and the sooner he did that the sooner he could be back to what he wanted to be doing, and that was killing the unforgivable.
He rushed the closest creature to him, it reached out with its right hand trying to catch him but he did a quick step pivot to the right getting behind it. He took his right hand and slashed along the abdomen. The blade sliced through the skin like it was water, he pivoted on his left leg moving his right behind him to line up a strike and its back but the thing was already on the ground. Having half of his body cut in half and its spine severed it had died instantaneously.
All the other possessed in the area turned towards him, knowing that he was the biggest threat to there leaders safety. He knew then that their bodies were possessed, but not by demons. They were being controlled by a single demon; one that had most likely possessed one of the vampires in the area. He knew then that this would be fun. That it might actually prove a challenge to him, because the only vampires that lived in this region were unregistered ancients. That meant they were at least 1,000 years old. Those vampires were tired of existence, having done all they wanted to do in their long lives or just became tired of continuing on they had come to this country in secret to stop feeding and let themselves sink into a sleep from which they never wanted to awaken. The demon must of took control of the body right after the vampire had gone into its sleep, meaning it had all the strengths of the ancient vampire and all of the tricks of a demon; and none of either of their weaknesses. He began to laugh; this is what he lived for. The thrill of going against a challenge he didn’t know if he could win against, the thought that he would be truly tested made him smile all the wider.
“Come out you filthy beast, I promise if you do now I wont kill all your little minions.” No answer was given and no person stepped forward. He smiled again. Good he thought; I was lying anyways.
He growled; a deep resonating sound that shook the earth around him, he heard a few of the soldiers behind him call out. He charged straight for them he struck the closet one to him, blowing its chest out with a right straight punch. He lifted his head just in time to see them all launch straight at him.

Captain Todd left his tent with Sergeant Defuss and Sergeant Johnson right after Lt. Morris did. They all had there weapons ready to fire incase there perimeter had been breached. But shockingly enough there was no bullets being fired, all his soldiers were standing in one area looking out past the perimeter. To something the Captain couldn’t see yet.
As he ran up he understood why no bullets were being fired. Why his men were in a trance. Luke was fighting the creatures, he moved almost like lighting, he was in one place one second and ten feet away another. It was like watching a movie he moved so unrealistically. His weapons were covered in blood but surprisingly his clothes and face were clean. The fighting hadn’t started five minutes ago but there were already dozens of dead bodies on the field. He killed without any wasted motion, dodging attacks and striking as quickly as a snake. He killed with a single strike; he never attacked the same opponent more than once and was on to the next before the first had hit the ground.
It was frightening to watch. He was a storm of death on the battlefield. He hadn’t pulled the swords on his back but was using his two hand weapons. Captain Todd knew the young man in his tent had been dangerous, but now he knew that his men and he were only living because this man chose to battle a different foe.
He walked up next to 2nd Lt. Morris. “Can you believe there is something like him in existence? Someone so powerful he can kill whomever he decided needed to die. You are lucky to be alive, Lt. Morris. We need to listen to what he said and get ready to leave.”
Lt. Morris was speechless. She knew that man was not human. She was a catholic and he could be nothing but a demon. Yet somehow she was attracted to him. He was a force of nature, nothing could stop him, and he was to fast to be hit and too strong to tire. She barely heard the captain talking to her.
“Yes sir, I will order the men to begin packing and loading to get on the road.”
As they both turned away they heard a cry out from one of his soldiers with the best view. They turned around just in time to see a nightmare come to life. Luke transformed into a creature of horror stories. He wasn’t an actual wolf. He was standing on two legs like before but his body was covered in white fur. His face elongated into a snout and razor sharp teeth, that shined in the sun, grew out of his mouth. He grew a foot taller and his muscles tripled in size. His hand and feet became claws that looked like they could cut steel. His clothes ripped completely off. His weapons were placed in a neat pile behind him. Captain Todd hadn’t noticed that but assumed it must have been done before he transformed.
It didn’t make sense to him why Luke would transform when he was killing those things with ease. Then he saw her. A blur of motion was moving from the south towards Luke, she was stunningly slow compared to him. For some reason he knew Luke could of killed her without changing but he had decided not to.
Suddenly both Luke and the female attacker were gone. The zombies in the area just dropped to the ground in a heap. They weren’t moving. His men yelled out a cheer. But he knew that this was the calm before the storm. Luke would be back, and so would more of those creatures. He knew now his job was to get out of this country.

She had heard him; he was the most frightening thing she had ever laid her eyes on. Her master wasn’t there to tell her what to do, so she did what she thought was best. Using all the commands she had been taught she turned her master’s slaves to attack this man. She knew he was not a normal human; he radiated an aura of power. At first she thought he was like her. A creature of death and blood, but she now knew that he was very much alive. She could feel the blood flowing through him, the smell of him made her sick, she had fed on humans since becoming a god but this man moved to quickly. Had too much strength, she knew she could kill him in an instant. The new strength her master had given her made her invincible.
She wasn’t sure if attacking him like this was the right thing to do. He needed to be stopped but if she had to do it herself she might be shot by one of those stupid soldiers. Staying behind her army she slowly crept forward. Always watching her victim she got within 50 feet of him. She knew she could get to him in less than a second but she wanted to wait for the perfect opportunity to strike, when he was most vulnerable, hopefully when he had been hit by one of her pawns. Her master had turned nineteen other humans into gods after he had turned her. She was the strongest being his first turned. But she was nothing compared to her master. While he was training them he could disappear and take five or more of them out before they saw him again. She was the only female he had turned. He said he didn’t need another love, just brutes to use to kill humans.
Her opportunity arose, his back was to her. He had just done a front flip over someone and double stabbed it in the back. She rushed forward, fangs bared claws ready to rip him to pieces. He turned towards her the second it was to late to turn around. He smiled, sheathed his weapons and began to transform.

It was almost pathetic how easy they were to kill, he even tried slowing down to give them a better chance to hit him and it didn’t work. He was bored. Luke wanted a fierce battle with a worthy opponent but none around here were close to that. Then he smelled her. She smelled of death, but not a rotting smell. A fresh newly killed person. Again he was disappointed, there was no chance a recently changed human could even begin to challenge his skill.
So he decided he would play with her. Slowing down even more he noticed her crouching fifty feet away. It would have taken him two seconds to get behind her and slit her throat but he wanted to drag this out. If he wasn’t going to get pleasure from a fight he would get it from her terror.
He remembered what it felt like when he had first realized he was a werewolf. It was exhilarating, every sense was heightened, and he felt alive like never before. Nothing could harm him and no one could get in his way. How wrong he was.
He knew she thought he was an easy target that she could beat anyone, and her master had probably ground her invincibility into her head from the moment she was created. How fun this was going to be. He was going as slow as he could without being hit when he found the perfect opportunity to give her an opening. He did a front flip over his attacker and turned around to double stab in it in the back.
He heard her come forward, he pulled the blades out of his latest victim, sheathed them and put his two great swords and hand blades on the ground in a nice pile in an instant. He turned around to face her with an evil smile on his face. He knew she had put all her energy into hitting him quickly in the back and ending it.
He changed into his altered self. Some werewolves believed that your transformed state was what you really were, that you just used your human form to hide yourself when needed. Not Luke, he used his changed being to frighten single opponents or kill a group, nothing more. He didn’t change for fun or because he thought it would make him stronger. In his mind it actually hindered him because he couldn’t use any weapons other then his body. He was faster and stronger but he knew from experience that his human self could kill multiple transformed werewolves with little effort.
He changed now because he wanted this vampire to know more fear in the next few minutes of her life then she has ever known. Changing didn’t hurt, his wasn’t a curse like the off breed of werewolves, he could control whatever urges came up, the change happened in seconds. There were some he knew that took up to five minutes to complete there transformation. He had practiced since he was reborn to master everything about his life and the transformation was part of it.
He took one step towards her and disappeared to her eyes. Everything was a blur to him, but he knew exactly where he wanted to go and what he needed to accomplish. He grabbed her face in his right claw, being very delicate as not to kill her too soon. He jumped away from the soldiers to the south. He knew they would be fine, because in the instant it took him to move towards his target he had pushed the will of her master out of there minds and in a sense killed them.

His goal at this point was get the information out of his newest victim in any way possible. Where was her master, how many were under their control and how many of the vampire population in this country had joined with them. He landed almost 150 feet away from where he started and began running. He didn’t want anyone to see what he was going to have to do.

She saw him transform. She had no idea what was going on. The only thing she felt besides his claw in her face was a paralyzing fear running through her body. If she had any body fluids left she would have emptied her bowels.
The next thing she knew she was laying on her back, trying to catch her breath. She was too terrified to remember she no longer needed breathe. She had a vision of her master scolding her for not doing her best to kill her attacker. She mustered all of her courage, which at this point was almost none. She hissed trying to find courage and hopefully scare her opponent. She looked around. She could tell they were deep into Tasmania’s forest. It was dark because of the trees; she didn’t notice him studying her.
He stepped out to from the darkness greet her. She had never seen such a man. Her master to her was the most beautiful creature in the world but this man had the body of a roman god. He was almost flawless. He had no hair at all except on his head. His muscles rippled under his skin with every step he took. She barely noticed a scar on his right shoulder, his eyes attracted her. They drew her in. She knew he was wearing nothing and that as a human she would of wanted to gaze at his naked body. But his eyes, they felt as if she was staring into the night sky. Asking all the questions she had ever wanted to know and getting the exact answers she needed. And then he spoke.
“Are you scared?” he held no anger in his voice, his tone only hinted at joy. That he was pleased to be speaking with her.
“Terrified.” She said this in a whisper, not sure why she had answered honestly. She knew she should have lied and attacked him to end it quickly but she couldn’t. She felt as if she was in love. His eyes had her mesmerized.
“You shouldn’t be, I just want to ask you some questions, and if you stay out of my way I will leave you alive. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” for some reason she believed him, whether it was his tone of voice or the way he said it she didn’t know. “What would you like to know?”
“How did you become apart of the undead realm?” he still showed only joy on his face as he asked this. His smile looked genuine.
“I was given true life a few months ago. My master found me as the only one strong enough to receive his gift.”
“How many of you are in his clan, and do you know the age of your master?” He took a step towards her. She almost looked away from him but his eyes held her gaze.
“There are nineteen followers besides me and our master. He has told me I am the strongest because I was his first, but he has told us nothing about himself. He looks to be in his late forties but I know he is a god and can change how he looks at any time.” She wasn’t ashamed for telling this man her secrets. It was like talking to the stars, they would tell no one what you talked about because they were not real, it felt as if she was in a dream.
He stepped up right in front of her, his body inches away from hers gazing right through her eyes into her soul. “What is his plan, and where is he hiding?” His voice was barley a whisper but it made her hold body tingle. It was something she had never felt before, even when she was with her master.
“His goal is to take control of the south eastern portion of the earth. He told us his master was doing the same thing he was but on a much larger scale throughout the world. The last place I saw him was in a cave, he was waiting there for someone. He wouldn’t say who or why but he sent me out to attack and the others of our clan out to hunt to gain strength. He says the more we feed the stronger we become.”
“I know you won’t believe me, but he is lying to you, the more you feed at the beginning the more attached you become to your creator, you seem like a wonderful women. One I know I could fall in love with. I do not want to hurt you, you have answered all my questions to the best of your knowledge and I believe everything your saying. I want to protect you from yourself, I want to save you from what he wants you to become. Say you will join me, forget about your master and I will release you from his control. We together could be free and live away from this world.” His voice was rising as he spoke getting more and more enthusiastic. She knew he was her soul mate. She could feel his love pouring into her from his soul. Together they would control everything in the world. Together they were unstoppable.
“Yes,” She said, her voice getting louder, her breathing becoming raged. “Together we will rule everything, I am the most powerful vampire in the world; and with your strength we will be unstoppable.”
She suddenly felt his firm body against hers, the warmth of him made her feel alive again. “I would of let you live, I am sorry that you are to far gone.”
She started to ask what he meant, then suddenly there was only darkness.

As he washed his hands off in the river he thought about the vampire he had just slain. He knew there was no coming back for her. She had crossed the line from living with humans to trying to dominate and rule them. She did have strength for someone so newly made but he knew her master had given her very little compared to what she could have had. He wondered if maybe the original vampire still fought for control over its body; was fighting against the demon that possessed him. Luke thought this a very high probability, because if a thousand year old vampire turned someone they would have much more strength then she had. It was against their laws to turn someone who was not mature enough, and a worse offense for an ancient to turn anyone at all. They would have the power and abilities of a vampire 500 years old, but with the mind of someone who couldn’t use that power the right way. He was glad there weren’t 19 other vampires with that much strength. He could kill them one on one, maybe up to three at once but if they attacked in a large group or with their creator he would be hard pressed to get out alive.
Luke knew the limits to his abilities; he wasn’t the strongest werewolf or the fastest, but he used both of those attributes to make himself almost invincible. He considered himself one of the smartest in and out of fights but he knew there was someone out there who could defeat him. He hadn’t fought against all the werewolves and all the vampires. The elders of each clan wouldn’t accept his challenge until he was at least 1,000 years old. Even though he looked like he was still 28 he was in fact over 900 years of age. He was an intelligent man. One who had killed his fair share of werewolves, vampires and humans. He was still feared by a lot of groups because he still hunted when he believed his codes were being broken. He had made peace with the clans of vampires who did nothing to harm the humans or his brethren, and had made an alliance with most werewolf groups. His words were considered wise and useful in all situations. Having volunteered to come here alone, knew that only the strongest vampires lived here and also that he might not get out of this country alive. He volunteered because no one else would; there was no vampire in any clan that could defeat him in single combat, none that had ever tried to challenge him at least; none were old enough to gain abilities to match his own. He had spent more than half of his life training to become the perfect fighter. They tended to stop caring about life after a millennia or two; when they couldn’t feel the sun, or the warmth of someone touching them, they just stopped caring and trying to live. There were those few who carried on; the leaders who were looked up to in times of need. They carried on because they still felt alive with the tasks they were given and their responsibilities. They would eventually get tired of undeath but for now they carried on, the oldest vampire who still had contact with others was 1,386 years old, she lived alone not wanting to rule a house or make contact with others. The oldest werewolf still known about was 2,271 years old; he was the leader of Luke’s old clan, his father.
Luke had decided to try and breach the gap between werewolves and vampires about 850 years ago. He had started his own clan, drawing in outcasts from both sides and uniting them under one cause, his. Their goal was to stop the turning of humans into immortals and to kill all the cursed werewolves. It had lasted almost 100 years before differences caused him to break the clan apart. The vampires lived different lives, they weren’t afraid of the sun as some myths went but stayed out of it because they could see better in the dark, and any advantage they could get they would use. Some had used him to hunt down enemies; giving him false information and having him attack groups who he normally wouldn’t have bothered with. The older vampire and werewolf leaders had worked together to break his group apart. They inserted members of their houses into his to tear his group apart from the inside out. After his clan fell apart he had spent the next 300 years gaining strength and perfecting his body so he could hunt down and kill all those who had gone against him. He was almost done with that goal. That was one reason he was in Tasmania, if he could kill the vampires here he knew he was ready to take on the last group of leaders who had gone against him.
He suddenly had the feeling he was being watched. It had been a little over two hours since the attack on the hotel. He turned around, though still naked he didn’t feel vulnerable at all. He closed his eyes and listened to his surroundings, he opened his senses to find what was around him. The quicker he eliminated the threat the sooner he could get on with his goal. He sensed four moving things around him. Two he could tell were animals. The other two where human like. He jumped to his left as one came for him. Opening his eyes he saw it was two vampires, he knew from there speed they were newly turned and would pose no challenge.
Luke was almost disappointed. He stopped and turned towards them. “If you two leave now and promise to bring your master back to challenge me, I’ll let you live.” He smiled at them, knowing he had just made them mad. Knowing they wouldn’t leave now. “Remember as you breathe your last breath it was your choice to fight against me.” He took one step as he began to transform, one step later he had disappeared.

All the soldiers held their breath. No one spoke a word; they couldn’t believe what they had just seen.
“Sir, what in the hell just happened?” It was his 2nd in command 1st Lt. Thompson.
“Well Thompson,” Captain Todd began. “You just witnessed what I would call a miracle. That man could have killed us all and he chose to fight against our enemies.”
“But what was he, he looked like a werewolf. When he disappeared he killed over 200 of those things in an instant. Should we be afraid he will come back?”
“No Lt. we should hope he does,” Captain Todd was being sincere; he knew his men could have eventually killed all of those things but that woman, the one who attacked him was too fast. “We need to start packing and loading up, Thompson get a convoy set up to get us and these people out of here. We are headed for home!”

There was a loud cheer from his men. Except one, who stood in the background away from everyone else. There was a frown on Corporal Guerrero’s face, he wanted more death. He wanted to kill all those humans in this place; not let them leave. He slowly started backing up, fading into the background and out of the camp he shed his human skin and began to run towards where the werewolf had taken his lover, sending out a mental call to gather his kin around him.
His anger was building; how dare a stupid dog ruin his plans, he thought to himself, didn’t he know that he was a god? How dare he go against him; I will kill the mutt and let my creations drink of his tainted blood.
As he thought this five of his vampires came in behind him. “Master we followed her to the forest and lost track of her, but we know she was her killed. Two of us stayed behind to find the one responsible, they will attack her assailant when they find an opening.”
His scream woke the dead. It was a wail that no creature should ever make. One of anger and profound sadness, as a demon he knew no love and now that he did this dog had taken it from him.
“I want his head, I want to watch him to die, go find the rest of your brothers and meet me here. All of you go!” They disappeared in an instant, not only out of fear but because they craved the blood of this new foe.
“Prepare to die you stupid human lover.” He said with conviction; then his voice became a whisper. “For a god is coming to claim your soul.”

Luke decided he was going to toy with these two, being young and inexperienced he knew they would think themselves more than a match for him. He went straight for the one who had attacked him first. Striking with his right claw he purposefully slowed down his attack so the vampire could dodge, which left him open for the second of the two to attack his back. He felt him posed to strike and moved out of the way at the last possible second. Making his attackers think he was just barely at there level of speed, the first came at him from above, thinking to land on his shoulders and rip his head off. He jumped straight up grabbing the vampire’s feet. Luke contorted his body in mid air to flip his feet up behind him; he pulled the vampire down and smashed his face into the ground. His attack had so much force behind it from the flexing and tightening of his muscles that the vampire’s head burst open, splattering his brain over his friend’s front.
Luke did a front flip transforming in mid air and landed lightly on his feet. “Well I guess I lied.” He began to laugh. “Your friend didn’t have time to regret attacking me; he was dead in an instant, I do apologize about that.”
When Luke finally stopped laughing the vampire spoke, “You got lucky; he underestimated you and was killed because he tried something he had never done before.” The vampire smiled. “I can feel my master and my brothers drawing near, they will tear you to shreds. I have been sending out your position mentally to my master since we found you. Drinking your blood after he has torn your head off will be an extreme pleasure.”
Luke cursed himself for deciding to play with these two. He had no weapons besides himself to fight with and with an ancient coming plus 17 others he would have a very difficult time winning. He ran forward and twisted behind the vampire fledgling grabbing his head with his left hand and pulling his head with such force it ripped off of his shoulders. He looked into his victim’s eyes and smiled, knowing that in the final seconds before his death he saw joy on his killers face.
He decided then that his best bet was to get his weapons and then return to face the ancient vampire and his minions. He didn’t want to fight them with the human soldiers around; they might be used against him. Not that he would care too much if they got themselves killed, but he knew someone in the world would.
He decided that since he had to go back to the camp he should probably put on some clothes. The two vampires he had just killed shirts were both bloodied and had some brain matter on them. Jeans would be ok too he thought to himself. He took the jeans off of the one he smashed on the ground and put them on. They were a little baggy on him but he noticed that the other one was wearing a belt. After putting that on he ran off into the woods towards the military camp.
*****
As soon as he felt one of them die he knew that both of his pets were dead. He immediately changed his tactics. Sending out a mental command he told his followers to meet at their cave to decide how to deal with this threat. Twenty minutes later he was standing in the middle of a circle with his sixteen remaining followers.
“This new foe is picking us off one by one my pets, he know’s you are newly reborn and that your strength is not great. I have decided to give you more power so we can destroy this creature and go on to conquer more land.”
“But master,” One of the smaller vampires in the back said. “I thought we were invincible, you said we could not be beaten and that you had already weakened yourself by giving us so much power.”
“Challenge my word again and you will be fed upon and torn to pieces.” After a few deep breaths he had calmed himself. “I recently found a vampire that was strong enough to fully rejuvenate me, and now I want to give that strength to you. I die on the inside when one of my pets is killed; I want you strong enough to kill our enemy without any effort at all. Now come my children, feed on me and gain strength!”
He was lying of course, he had enough strength and energy to make them all much stronger but he hadn’t wanted that because he feared them turning against him. He had figured out a way to put part of his true self into each of them as they fed upon him, this way they would be more under his control.
By the time they had finished he was almost completely drained of his blood. “Go my children; kill the one whom killed your brothers and sister. Find him and tear him to shreds.” They were all gone in a moment. He collapsed to his knees; he knew they would kill the one he had sent them to kill. They all now had an even split of his power. He needed to feed, after standing back up he walked to the back of his cave. He kept five humans tied up and asleep in his personal quarters.
“Much better,” he said after draining the last of his human captives, “now I can go check on my children.” It had been almost an hour since he sent them out. He hoped they had finished their task by now so he could enact the next phase of his plan
