“Now do you see Chronos, the child was just able to defeat that boar, he poses no threat to us gods” Estrawr said looking at a crystal ball that showed Damai’s battle against the rockhide boar, Chronos just snorted and replied “the brat did not use any godly powers he may have inherited, he could still possess enough power to threaten us, he just isn’t showing it yet” Estrawr glared at the chaos god who was looking for every excuse possible to kill Damai “we have already sealed any godly powers he may possess and they are dormant, if he wanted to gain access to them he would need to break 5 seals each one more powerful than the other, I’ll say it once again, he is of no threat to us” this clearly angered Chronos who walked away while seething in rage, Chronos wanted Damai dead and nobody knew how far he would go to see it happen.

Damai helped haul up the platform, after jumping back up to the village, which held both the rockhide boar he had hunted and the people he had rescued. When they had reached the top, all of the villagers were surprised to see not only a rockhide boar, but also three beings who like Damai had no fur on their arms or legs and they watched as Damai led them to the villages’ medicine cabin. When they were inside told the man, whose name was Ben, to lay down Kaya on the bed and that the doctor would treat her injuries.
The entire time both Ben and his friend, Freya, were speechless from the size of the village they had seen and the amount of inhabitants, not to mention this was the first time either of them had seen this race of beastmen. To their knowledge this area was supposed to only hold strong monsters, not a village of beastmen, and ape beastmen at that. They had heard stories from some of their beastmen friends about the ape tribe, and how they were considered to be the strongest of the beastmen tribe and had secret techniques which they would not teach to outsider’s, but to balance it out it was said that they had no talent in manipulating mana and could only use the most basic abilities of magic. The two also noted how friendly the people in the village seemed to be since the children came up and started asking questions while their parents just watched with smiles all around, Damai had to shoo the children away while explaining about the language problem.
Damai brought Ben and Freya to his house and into a spare room, he told them that they could stay here until they were fully healed, then much to the shock of all three of them, a large ape beastman burst into the room and tackled Damai while making sobbing noises, Ben and Freya understood nothing of what was said, but from Damai’s perspective it went like this “DDDAAAAMMMMAAAAIIII” screamed Kuat while crying and hugging his son “HOW COULD YOU BE SO FOOLISH AS TO TAKE ON A ROCKHIDE BOAR ON YOUR FIRST REAL FIGHT” he said with mixed emotions, he was relieved, worried, upset and impressed all at the same time and Damai struggled to calm him down, in the end he changed the topic to the new guests and gave his father the thought transmitter. Kuat began to speak to Ben who had the other crystal and asked a few questions “hello my name is Kuat and I am the leader of this village, I’m sorry if my son caused you any trouble” at this first bit of conversation Ben seemed flabbergasted, after all Damai had saved their lives how could he have caused trouble “no no no no, he caused no trouble, we should be thanking you since Damai saved our lives and your even treating our friends wounds” and then Kuat continued “if you don’t mind young man could I ask you some questions?” Ben nodded in response and Kuat asked away.
By the end of Kuats questions, he had gotten a lot of information, Firstly the people in front of him were of a different race even though they looked similar, Secondly there were lots of race’s out there besides them, Third was that at the base of the mountain they lived on (about a 4 day’s journey going down) there was a large city that housed many races, fourth was because the fact that this place was considered dangerous for normal people only adventurers D rank and above were allowed up, and fifth was information regarding these adventurers, they were people who trained to be stronger than the average man or woman, they took on others requests to defeat monsters or to explore areas for money and finally they were divided into ranks depending on their abilities, which went like this F,E,D,C,B,A,S and finally Z rank (hehe) Ben had said that him and his friends were all D rank, which the majority of adventurers fell into.
After receiving all of the information Kuat started to think about his son, he was impressed when he heard that his son had taken down a rockhide, but he found out from Ben that the boar was classed as only a C rank monster, and his son had some difficulty in defeating it. Kuat spent a few day’s pondering and when Kaya had regained consciousness, he finally made his decision. He asked the three adventurers to come to his house and then using the crystal he spoke to Ben “Ben, over the past couple of day’s I have come to know that you three are good people, so if you forgive my suddenness on the matter, I have a request to ask of you all” Ben asked what the request was and said that they would do their best to help him “Thank you, but this will not be easy……. I would like you to take my son with you on your journey, and to help him learn all he can about the outside world, he is strong and has potential to be stronger, but he is naive and does not know the strength of beings outside of the forest, basically I am asking you and your friends to teach my son what he needs to survive outside of the village” and like that Ben was speechless, seeing his shocked face Freya asked him what the request was to which Ben fully explained what had been asked of them, after hearing the request both Freya and Kaya were okay with it, since it meant a fun new companion they got along with, who was also strong but didn’t like to brag, and although Kaya hadn’t spoken to him much, since she just woke up, she felt like she had seen enough to know he was a good person. Ben, after hearing the opinion of the girls, could no longer see any reason not to, so he accepted Kuats request, and Kuat smiled wondering how he was going to break the news to Damai.

Later that day Kuat called his son into his room, Damai had been receiving strange looks from the rest of the village and when he looked into their faces, Damai could see some sadness in them and he wondered why. Damai found out why when he went to see his father “Damai, I have a request to make of you” Kuat said to his son with a serious face “what is it you ask of me father” Damai replied back with a smile, which made Kuat feel extremely guilty, but he calmed himself knowing that it was for his sons own good “I…… I would like you to go with Ben, Freya and Kaya to travel as an adventurer, while honing your skills and gaining experience… Becoming stronger son” Damai’s smile instantly disappeared, he could see his father’s reasoning, but at the same time was hurt that he was telling Damai to leave the village, he could barely stammer out a response “bu-but father i…….i” before he could finish Kuat cut him off “son, you have a lot of potential to become stronger and smarter, but here in this isolated village your potential is wasted and as your father I wish to see you become the best you can be, I am struggling with myself in order to give you the chance to grow into a man far beyond me and the other villagers and you already know that you get along with those three, you should have grand adventures and come back with some amazing stories to share” and no matter which way he thought about it Damai couldn’t think of a way to change his father’s mind, he did however fully see his father’s warm intentions and knew that if he refused he would be throwing away a marvellous opportunity given to him, so he silently hugged his father who said to Damai while tearing up slightly “the village knows of my decision, and Ben, Freya and Kaya are waiting for you, there is no need to say goodbye since we know you will come back sooner or later” if anybody walked into the room right then and there, they would have seen to men with bulging muscles crying and hugging each other “thank you” Damai quietly whispered and he left with tears still in his eyes to the group of three waiting for him, they saw the tears in his eyes and thought it was better to stay silent for now and the four of them left for the city.
The next day Damai was calmer but was still slightly depressed when all of the sudden Kaya remembered something and took the thought transmitter off of Ben “Damai here this is from your father he told us to give it to you, he said it would remind you of your life here at the village” Damai thanked her and gave a gentle smile, but he missed the her slightly red cheeks after he took the bag and when he opened it he found 4 rings, each of them gravity rings that increased his weight by 100%, and he just laughed at them, quickly lightening everybody’s mood even though no one knew what was so funny about the rings.
During the trip to the city Ben the most studious and patient of the three taught Damai the most commonly used language, English and he was amazed when Damai became fluent in only three days. On the journey whenever they came across a monster, Kaya taught Damai how to fight in a group or party of people and was pleased when he came to understand the best way to help the healer (Freya) and the mage (Ben), Damai knew they were a lot more experienced than him and listened to everything they said, although he did put some ideas forward when it came to battle tactics and whatnot. Finally after 4 days of travel, lessons and questions the group reached the city and Damai was amazed, he stood staring mouth wide open looking at the hundreds, possibly thousands of different people, he listened to all the noise made, and marvelled at the sight of buildings that were 3 storeys high, and when he finally regained his composure he heard Kaya speak “well if we’re going to be a party, then we need to get Damai in the adventurers guild “ and smiled as she walked towards one of the bigger buildings.
