“Kuat …….. KUAT ….. KUAT!!” shouted a large man as kicked down a wooden door creating even more noise “ugh….. I’m up Api, calm down” replied a second man as groggily got up “You’re still sleeping, I can’t believe that someone like you is the leader of the village” the large man, called Api, said as he put his head in his hand “ahahahaha calm down, it was just so quite after I finished my morning training that I just fell asleep, anyway what do you want” Api looked at his leader and recalled how seriously he took his training, he then found it understandable that Kuat was tired considering how much he pushed himself “Api? Are you going to tell or do I have to guess” Kuat remarked with a grin “hmm …. AH yes sorry, the hunters found something about a minute away from the village, said you should see it” Api said after recollecting himself “What could be so important that I am needed, hmmm…. never mind I’ll find out in a bit, which direction Api?” Kuat asked “South of the village, on the ground just before you reach the forest, you should see the others there” after hearing this Kuat wondered about what he might find waiting for him as he left his house and the village built in the trees above the ground, leaving Api with the broken down door to fix.
After a minute of jogging Kuat reached where the hunters where waiting and as he drew closer he noticed what appeared to be a basket just ahead of them. When he reached the hunters and asked one what was going on “Batu what could you possibly need me for” the hunter looked down for s second and then replied “um sir …. We found a child” at this Kuat just looked at them dumbfounded “you called me because you found a child, none here had the capability of dealing with a child” all the hunters looked embarrassed when Batu spoke up again “again sorry sir but it’s just that this child is strange” and Kuat just thought how strange can a child be exactly, he then moved through the hunters to get a look at the child, and when he saw it he understood what the hunters had meant. The child was very similar to them however it also had some visible differences, the biggest of which being the fact that it lacked the fur his people usually had from their wrists and ankles which reached to just before their shoulders and just above their kneecaps. The child also lacked his people’s tail, but the strangest thing about the child was the odd sense of peacefulness as looked at the child. Kuat moved forward and picked the child up, he looked at the child’s face and the child just looked back and smiled at him. At that exact point Kuat, the strongest of the ape beastman race, decided he was going to raise it and as he was thinking of a name he remembered how peaceful he felt (peaceful huh, then your name shall be Damai) when he told those around him his decision, they saw their leaders smiling face and started to smile as well.

Five years later
“Damai, come here Damai” Kuat called and soon after a young child with a bright smile on his face came running up “yes dad?” said Damai while knowing what was coming and excitedly hopping up and down “hehehe son seems like you already know what’s coming, yes son today you are five years old and as the village tradition states we will now start your training to become a strong warrior” Kuat said barely containing his own excitement as he saw the joy in his sons eyes, Damai was positively ecstatic at the thought as he has always admired his father’s strength and wanted to be even stronger than him, Kuat then said with a more serious tone “now son I know you are eager but still, this will be difficult and you must put all your effort into your training” and after hearing this Damai calmed down and with determination in his voice shouted “YES SIR” Kuat then grinned and said “good, now for the first 7 years of your training we will focus on enhancing your body and minds capability, you will do basic strength and agility training along with extended hours of meditation and study, when you turn twelve you should be able to understand the purposes of the muscles in the body through studying and should be able to break a boulder taller and wider than yourself with a single punch” and Damai just listened to his father’s words and when his father was done just asked a question “when will I be learning the fighting style father” Kuat looked at his sons wanting eyes and just said “at the age of twelve when your body can handle it” hearing this Damai was visibly disappointed but did not let it get him down too much.

Damai’s training consisted of running laps around the village, which was about 300 meters, this was to increase his endurance, stamina and speed. He had to do this from 6:00 in the morning until 8:30 when he would go home for breakfast, Damai was not alone when doing this though as all the other children had to do it as well, this included his best friends Salju, also called Sal, a young girl the same age as Damai and Logam who was one year older but less enthusiastic about the training. Sal and Damai would always have competitions between each other, and the score was always even since they were just as strong as each other, they left Logam out as he had been doing it for a year longer and was much further ahead. Afterwards Damai would eat his breakfast and then had to study while his mind was sharp in the morning for an hour, however he also had another study session in the afternoon. After the study session he would then go and do basic strength training e.g. pushups, sit-ups and weight training he would circulate through these for 2 hours a day and then would work on his flexibility for an hour, then at 1:00 he had to meditate for half an hour under Kuat’s supervision to make sure he does it correctly. He would then eat lunch the at 2:00 he would do more laps around the village, having the second study session afterword’s and after that he would have free time till 7:30 when he would meditate for another hour and go to bed.
This continued for 7 years, except on his birthday each year he would be given a gravity ring that increased his weight and anything he carried so when he turned 12 he had twelve rings which collectively increased his weight by 400% he was not allowed to take the rings off until he turned 16 and became an adult.
