Floso, whose eyes were slowly opening wakes up in an entirely different and dark environment with a throbbing headache. As she gets up while gently caressing her head, all the lights suddenly went on, revealing to her that she was in a prison cell, fortified with a green forcefield resembling a square. She approached it and looked through it, noticing a hallway of other prison cells, which were all vacant. The sudden sound of footsteps in the distance alerted her as they started to get closer. She braced for whatever was coming and the individual revealed itself to be………..Envi!!

“Hello, Floso. Good to see you up. For a minute there, I almost thought you dead when you were brought in,” Envi said in a mocking voice, leaving Floso stunned with silence but was soon quickly turned to hate.

“Envi, you son of a……..” Floso shouted as she angrily walked to the forcefield but upon touching it, it instantly shocked her, causing her to back away and shriek while tending her fingers.

“Now, now, no need for such rash actions,” Envi said, wearing a cocky smile on his face.

“Where am I? What is this place?!” Floso said with anger and in a demanding voice.

“This? It’s where my new ally allows me to stay,” Envi said.

“New ally?.........Looks like my friends were right.” Floso said. “What exactly did he offer you?”

“Just that If I join up with him, he’ll be able to give me what I want,” Envi replied. “Like power, control of the tribe, death of my enemies, and most importantly……the humiliation of my rival, Roin.”

“Heh, l-like any of that will even come to pass,” Floso said, ridiculing him. “My friends will stop you and punish you for what you’ve done.”

“Are you sure about that?” Envi said in a teasing voice, starting to make Floso nervous. “Because as of right now, as I’m talking to you, they’re deciding whether or not to surrender. And if they don’t, you may kiss farewell to the entire tribe!”

“N-No……you couldn’t,” Floso said with a shaken voice, scared by what Envi said.

“Oh, I could,” Envi said back to her. “But hey, if everything goes to plan, your friends and loved ones will be joining you……in a cell.”

Terrified by this, Floso backed away, completely quietly as she feared what her allies will decide on. Having had his fun and seeing Floso in this state, Envi proceeded to leave, brimming with confidence…..

X Iguacko Tribe X

In Velu’s hut, the chief who was sitting on his throne, Roin, and the humans were discussing with one another on what they should do, thinking of any possible scenarios as it was now evening outside, giving them a few more hours before the deadline.

“Look, we’re wasting time. It’s better if we just sneak past the creatures and find their base of operations,” Roin suggested.

“No, that’s too risky,” Julie said.

“Why would it?” Roin asked.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

“Just consider that even if you do attempt it, Envi and his new friend might have a way to watch over the entire tribe,” Julie said.

“Exactly,” Calem joined in. “We may not know how, but it might be enough to see anyone try to escape.”

“They’re right,” Velu said. “It’s a chance we can’t take,”

“Even so, we can’t just wait around and do nothing,” Roin said. “We have to fight back,”

“Dude, have you forgotten what those things can do?” Marcel asked. “If you thought they were bad, just imagine what the new guy has in store,”

“So you suggest we just leave Floso to them!” Roin asked with irritation.

“No, I’m not, but we have to think smart here,” Marcel replied.

“Surrender like cowards, that’s smart to you?!” Roin yelled out.

This caused an argument between him and the humans, yelling at each other with no end in sight. As this was going on, Velu raised his staff up and tapped the ground hard with it, causing everyone to stop their fighting and pay attention to him.

“Everyone, after much thought……” Velu hesitated for a bit but came out with it. “It’s best that we surrender.”

Roin was speechless when he heard Velu say that, not wanting to believe he would endanger the entire tribe like this but for the humans, they thought this was the right way.

“S-Sir, with all due respect……That’s terrible, even for you.” Roin argued.

“I’m sorry, Roin, but what choice do we have?” Velu said. “We’re up against an unknown enemy who possesses weapons that far exceed our own.”

“But you can’t sell out your own people, you’re dooming them to a life of slavery,” Roin said.

“I know, but please understand, I don’t want to see any of them die because of our foolishness,” Velu said before getting up and walking towards Roin. “Listen, if you are to be my future successor, you must see that when times are difficult, you have to protect the tribe at all costs, even if it means making the most cruelest of decisions,”

While he thought he was right, Roin tried to dispute this, but after much thought, he gave up and went along with it.

“It’s about time the people heard about this,” Velu said as he leaves his hut……..

Once every member of the tribe has been gathered, Velu and Roin, who stood beside him, informed everyone of the situation as the humans stayed in the chieftain's hut and watched on. The reactions from the crowds varied, from those who just murmured to themselves with worry while others just stood still with dread. After he was done, everyone proceeded to head back to their homes as a few of them quietly spoke to one another…..

“This is it? This is the best he could come up with?!”

“I refuse! We should just march out there and kill those things!”

“I think he made a wise choice, we don’t know what we’re up against.”

“Why should we take the fall for this?! It’s because of the humans that we are in endanger!”

“Likewise. We were perfectly fine until those things came into our lives.

These gossips continued till the dead of night until…….

The deadline has arrived! It’s morning and everyone in the village has assembled in the center of their home, not one bearing weapons as Envi demanded. In front of them was their leader, Velu, the humans who were holding their armaments in their hands, and Roin, all waiting for Envi to show up.

A few moments passed and there was no sign of him until a figure was seen moving from the jungle depths coming towards the tribe. After making some distance, it turns out to be Envi, who was smiling when he approached his people, angering and irritating a few of them.

“Good to see you all again……..Well, a few of you at least,” Envi laughed which greatly enraged the ones already mad. “So, since you followed my demands, let's get down to business. Would the humans kindly throw their weapons to me?”

Doing exactly what he said, Calem, Marcel, and Julie threw their items to him, all landing in front of him as he picked them up.

“Thank you for that,” Envi said with the items now in both of his hands. “Now, next up……..Everyone, get on your knees!”

The ones who bowed down first were Velu, the humans, and Roin as a few others joined in on them but there were many who opposed this, not wanting to give Envi any satisfaction as the others start to notice this.

“I guess some of you didn’t hear. I said get on your knees!” Envi said again but the others stood still, defying him.

“What are you doing?! Do what he says!” Velu yelled out to the ones still standing as the others tried to convince them as well but fell upon deaf ears.

“Alright, have it your way…..” Envi said as all of a sudden, a laser blast from the sky hits a part of the jungle behind them, creating a massive explosion that scared everyone and filled them with fear.

From the sky above, an invisible object descends as it starts revealing itself. It turns out to be a massive spaceship that was about 183ft tall and 205ft long, resembling an alien face with a huge brain with the face having an emerald coloring, a bluish device on the forehead, and yellow eyes.

The mere sight of this otherworldly and futuristic thing coming down upon them caused the defiant ones to get on their knees as quickly as possible, shivering with terror.

“Good, that’s much better,” Envi said, standing proudly as he was accepted as the chieftain. “Now Roin, Velu, Calem, Julie, and Marcel, come towards me,”

Doing as they were told, the five got up and proceeded to walk Envi, stopping right behind him. The ship then releases a bluish beam of light, enshrouding them all. As parts of their body start to vanish, it isn’t long before they disappear, leaving the entire tribe confused and terrified, wondering what happened to them…

X

The six were then transported into the interior of the ship, in a room where Uell Moroo was waiting for them, who was standing behind a console board but then proceeded to greet them.

“Welcome, everyone. Please, do come in,” Uell said in a polite but mocking tone, having Envi snicker but the five just remained quiet.

Envi strolls over to him and stands beside Uell as he hands over Calem’s, Marcel’s, and Julie’s weapons to him.

‘We appreciate your cooperation. Because of you, the future of the tribe is in safe hands. Things are only going to get better from here on,” Uell said as he started to sound more sinister, which started to worry Calem, Marcel, and Julie………….

What plans do Uell and Envi have in store for the tribe?! How will our heroes be able to deal with them?! Find out next time!!
