Battle the Automatons!! Getting back their items!!!

Previously on Protector’s of Worlds:

Thanks to the efforts of Roin, our heroes managed to escape the evil doctor’s grasp. After their Iguacko friends helped to unbind them, they went their separate ways: Calem, Marcel, and Julie search for their items while Floso and Velu try to reunite with Roin.

Uell, finding out that Envi is responsible for this whole ordeal, decides to take matters into his own hands.

What will our heroes encounter? Let us proceed, shall we?........

X

After running for who knows how long on the massive spaceship, our heroes, Julie, Calem, and Marcel finally found a door as they entered it. Upon getting inside, they noticed the room they entered was a massive cargo room, storing things such as supplies, weapons, mechanical parts, crates of many sizes, and other numerous objects.

“Damn, check these things out,” Marcel said, impressed with the stuff in the room.

“I know,” Calem said until realizing something. “Wait……do you guys think…” He stopped mid-sentence, catching Marcel’s and Julie's attention as they both figured it out.

“Of course, this must be where Uell keeps his supplies,” Julie said

“Right, and if that’s true, our stuff might be in here,” Calem said.

“Well, what are we waiting for?” Marcel asked the two. “Let’s start digging!”

Proceeding on, the three looked through everywhere, searching the boxes, crates, or anything that looked like it could hold stuff. The search went on for a while but would reach an end. Marcel, who had just looked inside a crate and found nothing, sealed it back and thought this was pointless………..until he noticed something in the distance.

On a crate, he saw a medium-sized box with a see-through forcefield, and what was inside made his jaw drop……

“Hey! Hey, guys, come here!!” Marcel shouted out to the others who quickly ran to his position.

“What’s the problem?” Calem asked, worried his friend encountered something as Marcel pointed in the direction of the box. Calem and Julie noticed it and what was inside……was their armaments. Calem’s gauntlet, Marcel’s two gauntlets, and Julie’s bracelet: All of which were inside the box.

“Jackpot!” Julie said excitedly.

Just as the three were about to approach the box and get their hands on it, an extendable robotic hand from behind them grabbed the box and pulled it back to its source.

“What the…..?” Julie asked, wondering what just happened.

They looked behind them as the perpetrator revealed himself from the darkness, turning out to be………Uell Moroo!!

“Pardon me, but did you really think that would be easy?!” Uell said as he started laughing, making Calem, Marcel, and Julie infuriated awhile holding the box in his right hand. “You want them back?......Come and get them!”

As the heroes were advancing toward Uell, something bizarre happened! In an instant, Calem was grabbed by some unknown force and pulled away.

“Calem!!!” Marcel and Julie shouted out as they watched their friend disappear into the darkness.

Just before they could process what took him away, the same thing happened to Marcel. He was grabbed by something that was invisible and taken into the unknown.

“Marcel, no!!!” Julie shouted out, seeing her friends gone as she was the only one to face Uell Moroo. “What did you do to them, you son of a bitch!?!”

Uell didn’t say a word, he just smirked at her which only seemed to anger her. The only reply she got was a purple stream of liquid, that shot out abruptly and tried to hit her, but she evaded in time as the liquid splashed on a robotic leg, dissolving part of it in an instant. The assailant jumped out of the darkness, landing itself in front of Uell as it revealed itself before Julie.

It was an automaton that had a frog-like appearance, standing around 5ft tall with two legs, its body covered in magenta/viridian spots, a blue grass head and vermilion lower half, violet eyes, and yellow grass feet.

This is the frog automaton “Hopacid”.

“Kill her!” Uell ordered the automaton, who was ready for a fight as Julie maintained her position, putting up a stance and waiting for Hopacid to make a move…………

Calem and Marcel, who were just recovering from the whole ordeal, found themselves in a new area, who knows how far they were from their friend. All of a sudden, they heard something move in the corner, making a hissing sound as they tried to see what it was but weren’t able to, only seeing darkness. Behind them, a few items were knocked down, startling them as they heard movement again. The two looked everywhere in every spot, hoping to see what they are up against, but was no good as noises were heard everywhere along with the creature hissing, making them more anxious.

Out of nowhere, something rushed toward Calem and struck him in the face, knocking him to the ground, blood coming out of his nose. Marcel tried to check on him, but an invisible object struck him in the chest, sending him a few inches away as he squirmed around on the ground in pain. Moments later, Calem was able to get up, still dazed and his nose broken, blood dripping out of it. He heard the sound of something running from behind him, causing him to dodge and roll out of the way, having the thing miss its target.

While he looked around his surroundings, something hits him in the back, not devastating but still quite painful. He turned around to see what hit him, seeing nothing as he was hit in the head, further enraging him.

“Come on! Show yourself!!” Calem shouted out, proceeding to hit the air with punches and kicks, hoping to land a blow on something.

Marcel, who had just recovered, was punched in the left and right side of his face, bruising him as blood flew out of his mouth. Filled with paranoia about when the next assault may occur, he joins in with Calem, randomly punching the air with jabs, hooks, and uppercuts.

As our heroes pointlessly fight back at nothing, an invisible creature looks down upon on top of a huge crate with glowing yellow eyes……

X Julie X

With Julie’s fight with Hopacid, she was having just as much trouble as her friends. She mainly relied on her speed to avoid the acidic assaultss of Hopacid, using cartwheels and back handsprings to move around as the acid hit multiple boxes and crates, melting parts of them off, while Uell watched on.

Realizing that this wasn’t working, Hopacid resorted to another tactic. It shot out its tongue, tipped with a three-fingered hand, and managed to grab Julie by her leg just when he was about to do another handspring, causing her to fall on her back. With her down, Hopacid hopped into the air before coming down, landing right on her, causing her to yak out blood in pain. It then wrapped its tongue around her neck and threw her aside, crashing her back into a box, and causing several items to fall off.

“HA! It’s no use to continue on!” Uell said. “Without your magical weapons, you’ll all die like animals!”

Julie then spits out blood before wiping some off her face and quickly noticing a weapon on the ground that resembles a staff. She grabs it and gets back up, facing Hopacid.

“Don’t count us out just yet,” Julie said as he spun the staff around a bit as she takes a fighting stance. “You’ll find we’re still tough, even without our powers……..”

X Calem and Marcel X

With the opponent using invisibility and the surroundings to its advantage, Calem and Marcel weren’t lucky enough to land a single hit as the entire fight started to drain them out. They looked everywhere, waiting for another attack but was caught by surprise when the invisible creature ambushed both of them, knocking them to separate sides. It marched towards Calem, who was just rising, and started wrapping something around his waist and arms, constricting him and proceeds to crush him, causing him to cry out in pain.

Marcel, who just shook his head and recuperated, saw his friend in danger. He got up, saw a nearby medium-sized crate, and ran to it, hoping something was inside. He tore the lid off and checked the interior, and what he saw put a smile on his face……

Just as the creature started to tighten its wrap around Calem, a container full of green sticky liquid hits it, covering half of its body, revealing that what was crushing Calem was its tail and what appeared to be a casque on its head. Then, a couple of laser shots hit the creature and its tail, causing it to shriek in pain as it lets go of Calem, dropping him on his knees as it retreated into the dark. While he used this time to rebound, Marcel reached his hand out to him, who had a handgun-sized blaster in one hand. Calem grabbed his comrade's hand who pulled him up as Marcel handed him a short laser sword from his pocket, powering it up once he touched the handle.

Now that they are armed and their enemy is barely visible, the two are now ready to counterattack as they go back to back, facing opposite directions, readying themselves for when the creature shows up. Minutes passed and nothing happens as everything is just……silent. Calem and Marcel, maintaining their positions, while still nervous, were a bit more calm and collected, now that they had the means to fight back.

The flow was disrupted, however, as the creature lunged out from the shadows towards them. However, thanks to the liquid sticking to its body, they were able to notice it and evade as Marcel fired a few shots, hitting it in the back as Calem charged toward it and slashed it a couple of times, leaving a few sword cuts on it.

Realizing its invisibility was useless now, the creature tried to fight head-on, but the two humans were able to counter everything, landing devastating hits, turning the battle in their favor. After receiving a few blasts from Marcel, the creature, in one last effort, tried to constrict him with his tail, but Calem quickly swung his sword at the tail, slicing it off as the creature roared out in pain as oil sprayed from its severed tail. Wanting to finish this off, Marcel and Calem unleash a combo. Marcel went first, placing the blaster in the mouth of the creature and fired a few rounds, blasting through its head as oil splattered everywhere. Calem, with one powerful swing, slashes the creature in the middle, cutting it in half as the creature's lower half sprays a massive amount of oil, covering both Calem and Marcel as it falls to the ground as the upper half, which was in the air for a while, falls back.

As it lies dead, oil leaking from its decapitated body, its camouflage wears off, slowly showing its body as the two see its true form. It was an automaton that had a chameleon-like appearance, was about 8ft tall with a casque on its head, big yellow eyes, a black color scheme with light blue lines on its body, head, arms, and legs, four fingers on each hand, a yellow underbelly, and a prehensile tail, what’s left of it. This is the stealth automaton “Camosneak”.

Victorious, Calem and Marcel fist bump as they take their leave, making their way to Julie….

X

Dodging Hopacids tongue with her agility, Julie fought back and tried to strike the legs, but the automaton managed to jump back, avoiding her attack. The two were evenly matched now, relying on their speed to evade each other’s moves. Hopacid tried grabbing her with its tongue but was blocked with Julie striking it with her staff every time he shot it out. When it tried one last time, Julie evaded instead of blocking and plunged her staff right into its tongue, slamming it to the ground and piercing right through it, causing oil to splurt out and Hopacid to cry out in pain.

She pulled the staff out as the automaton reeled its tongue back. Enraged, Hopacid spitted acid in rapid-fire but Julie, using fancy acrobatics, avoided them all. When she was close to the frog machine, she thrust her staff forward, stabbing its left eye, causing it to back away as it squirmed in discomfort.

Now that it's hurt and wide open, Julie drew her staff back and threw it at Hopacid with great force. Hopacid couldn’t do anything as the staff entered its open mouth, piercing right through its head. Bleeding, croaking in pain, and stumbling around, Hopacid finally fell on its back, legs still twitching a bit. Just when she could even embrace the win, Uell extended the robot’s left hand at her, grabbing her by the neck and bringing her towards him.

“I must say, I’m quite impressed,” Uell said. “Being able to defeat the automaton without your powers is quite extraordinary, but your luck has just run out,”

After saying that, Uell proceeded to slowly choke the life out of Julie, causing her to struggle and wriggle around, hitting the arm as hard as possible while her legs squirmed around and foam came out from her mouth, giving the doctor sadistic pleasure from the mere sight of her. Her eyes started to lose life as she stopped fighting but when she was nearly gone, help arrived!!

With a sudden yell, Uell stopped choking her and looked up, seeing Calem come down upon him, ready to strike. With both hands, he slashed the robot's hand, cutting it off and freeing Julie, dropping her to the ground, as sparks flew out from the damaged arm while the hand twitched some fingers, shocking Uell.

“You little shit!!” Uell shouted out with anger at the damage his robot sustained.

Dropping the box, he attempted to smash Calem with the robot’s remaining hand, but a barrage of laser blasts prevented this, hitting areas near the robot's chest. One managed to hit close to Uell's face, cauterizing a small chunk of his green skin which caused him to yell out in agony as the robot started to shield him, protecting Uell with its arms. Marcel then rushed out of the shadows, firing multiple shots at the robot, burning holes into its metal body.

Taking serious damage, Uell decided this was the time to retreat, running while Marcel kept on firing. Once the doctor was away, Marcel who grabbed the box on his way, ran to Julie, who was coughing and breathing in as much air as she could while being checked on by Calem.

“Are you okay?” Marcel asked as he kneeled, concerned about her.

“Just…..(cough) (cough)......give me a few moments,” Julie said, trying to recover while touching her neck. After a few moments, Julie got back on her feet, her neck a bit sore but was able to recuperate.

“So, what do we do about this?” Calem asked, speaking about the box holding their stuff. “How do we get them out?”

“Easy,” Marcel said before lifting the box up and throwing it to the ground, smashing it with great force and heavily damaging the box as the forcefields faded. This surprised Calem and Julie, but they shrugged their shoulders, seeing that it worked.

After so long, the three were able to get their items back, Calem and Marcel putting on their gauntlets with Julie putting her bracelet back on. Once on, they start to transform!

Calem touched his gauntlet and raised it into the air, getting hit by bolts of lightning from out of nowhere, cladding him in his armor in the process. One last lightning bolt clads him in his helmet, completing it.

Marcel slammed both of his fists together as cracks formed underneath him as an eruption of magma engulfed him. It subsides as Marcel is covered in cooled-off molten rock. Cracks started appearing, releasing orange beams of light as the molten rock encasing him started to crumble, revealing him in his armor.

Julie touched her bracelet with the tip of her fingers as she was surrounded by a small tornado, which released flashes of purple light. The tornado dissipates, showing Julie fully enshrouded in her armor, showing that everyone is ready!

“Now, how about we give the doctor a visit and put an end to all of this?!” Calem asked his two allies.

“I’m down for it!” Marcel asked, cracking his fists along with his neck.

“Count me in!” Julie said, stretching her legs and arms.

“Alright, let’s do this!” Calem rallied his friends.

“Right!” Marcel and Julie shouted on, ready for this.

Just as they started to move on, Hopacid, who was still alive with the staff still impaled in it, slowly got up on its feet and hopped into the air, hoping to ambush them. Julie, who looked behind her, caught wind of this.

“Look out!” Julie said as she informed her friends, who looked behind them and saw Hopacid coming towards them, stopping in their tracks as they prepared to fight but Julie got in front of them, wanting to do this herself.

Her hands started to glow as she sucked the air into them. Then, she slashes the air with her left arm, releasing a vertical blade of wind at the automaton, passing right through it as it safely landed on the ground, standing completely still.

Nothing happened at first, but Hopacid’s head started bleeding oil and all of a sudden, the automaton was split in half, spraying vast amounts of oil everywhere before exploding, causing chunks of it to spread everywhere. Now that it was fully dead, Julie turned back to her friends, who were amazed by her attack.

“Wow, pretty cool,” Marcel said, complimenting her as she nodded back to him.

With nothing standing in their way now, the three heroes started to head to Uell Moroo, hoping to finish this once and for all……

Will our heroes be able to put an end to Uell Moroo’s plans!?! Will they be able to save the Iguackos!?! Find out in the next chapter!!!
