Pokemon : Lazy New Life
And the week passes

And the week passes

I spend the next few hours terrorizing the local wildlife with my improvised weapon which is my big fishy buddy, Magikarp, best thing is he's soaking up "exp" at crazy rates, I can literally feel him getting stronger….

We stopped for some food, not for me though kinda forgot some but that's ok, I can wait…. So I sit on a log and start to think again.

You see I wished for being able to see "potential", and have intimate knowledge of all Pokémon, the best ways to train them, and how to care for them, it's almost instinctive like I don't "know" what I'm doing for Magikarp is great, but I get a strong feeling it is….

I know that Magikarp is purple potential from the purple mist coming out of him, and the same color mist from the eggs, I can see Pokémon and egg potential by pushing aura into my eyes.

And I also seem to know that Magikarp should not be getting stronger this quickly, and now I'm taking a break and resting I look at Magikarp for a moment….. pokemon usually take 3 months to mature, they "can" battle at one month but most of them are too weak, only the real badasses can do it….

And Magikarp is only one-third through his maturity and already the size of a regular Magikarp….. so he's going to be 3 times the size of a normal Magikarp? Does that also mean 3 times the size of a normal Gyarados?

It's the king gene I'm pretty sure, and if he is going to be 3 times the size…

I will admit I did not take into mind the logistics of taking care of a king gene Gyarados when I wished for it, and with all my new knowledge I know how to properly take care of a Gyarados, and it is ALOT of work, even for a normal one...fuck

This isn't a Pokémon world where everyone knows a little about training Pokémon and has some common sense, I've said this before and I'll say it again people are dumb as shit, we're in the medieval era, no info sharing on raising tips for Pokémon or anything, you just gotta hope your ancestors figured it out and left a note on how to do it, or just try random shit.... and Gyarados is not a Pokémon you try random shit with.

For normal people, it's impossible to raise one, for a few reasons but a big one is their food, yes they can hunt their own food but they could also become food….

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

The biggest predator in the seas is without a doubt Gyarados, so you might be thinking what could predate on a Gyarados? Well another gyarados! That's right cannibalism Is like their favorite hobby, did I mention that Gyarados generally have an easy time learning hyper beam?….. better yet they live in swarms….

So in this world, Gyarados aren't Pokémon you see when on the sea and go "oh no!… everybody let's fight and use the power of friendship!", oh no no no, it's more like "dear Arceus please let this swarm of giant cannibalistic nuke spitting sea leviathans not notice us" because you don't simply fight off a Gyarados swarm, you have to kill each and every one of them because retreat is not in their dictionary, and being part of a cannibalistic, nuke spitting sea dragon community does not give you much fear of death….

There are no candy-ass Gyarados, nature makes sure of that….but back to me and raising my fish guy…

The food isn't important since that's easy, it's more about general care…. Shedding scales that cause irritation, loose teeth that can cause irritation generally breathing in their direction will irritate them…..Gyarados are just angry dudes

So I know salves that I'll have to rub into his scales soonish to start helping with his growing, it stops his itching, and when he evolves I'll have to pull teeth from time to time, they grow back but it's not gonna be pleasant, but with that said… Magikarp are usually just kinda stupid, not much intelligence but my guy... smart as can be….

Normally they only gain "some" form of instinctual intelligence after they evolve, but mine is special, gotta look after him young, even with the aura bond we have, if you abuse your Pokémon, they will eventually retaliate…. And again I don't need him having those thoughts of retaliation when ima have to more or less climb in his mouth to pull teeth…

But not a problem for me because I love my fish, the bond is weird to me since I was never really an emotional guy, but I don't think I'd take it well if anyone hurt my little mate….

Well, breaks over I guess….

As we spring back into our super soaker-enhanced clubbing, we are at it till almost the sun goes down, so with a bit of Pep, we rush back to the east road and make our way back home.

Tomorrow I'll check up on the building progress and keep the "training" rolling, I won't be able to carry him for long he's gonna be too big in like a week, so gotta grind hard now and think of something else later.

We make it back home, I check on the eggs, see the 3 little goons looking run off their feet, and speak to them a little about their training, apparently, they are getting the works when it comes to their training, math, cooking, manners, noble logic and even fighting, but hey multitalented goons will help me in the future, and they seem excited as they thanked me….so….that's a plus.

So another night passes and I do my new morning routine of waking up, getting dressed, telling myself to invent toothbrushes and toothpaste, greeting my goons, feeding my fish, and apparently azumarill now as well.

With that done, I take off to see how the building is going, a small "road" is cut through the forest and as I arrive I'm shocked to see the foundation set and they are starting frameworks, fast work, I leave them be and head back into the forest with my fish rifle and trusty mouse fairy bodyguard ready to tear shit up…

And like this 5 more days pass and on the morning of the 6th day passed I feel a tug from behind the bronze mirror and get excited!

My doggo is finally here!!!
