I slowly gained consciousness realizing that I was in a room. I instantly remembered what happened, the trainer of the Mega-Gardevoir must have found me because as far as I can remember from the Games and Anime a trainer and their Pokémon need a strong emotional bond to undergo Mega-evolution. Well, that or some mind controlling technology, because I doubt the leader of team flare, Lysandre is capable of forming these bonds and I don’t see any kind of technology in this room, anyways both require a Human so lets just hope they won’t eat me.

The room I’m in looks pretty normal so far, just a pink bed, a desk and a closet. There is a window allowing me to look outside. That window could be my only escape option. Mhhh, considering that the trainer that has saved me has a Gardevoir escape might not be a possibility considering it can teleport and read minds… it can read minds… ay I might be fucked.

Now the question is should I tell them everything or should I just avoid Lying? Given the fact that they saved me, and I’m not shackled to my bed means I can probably trust them not to kill me Instantly or to forcefully invade my mind. Before I could come to a decision, I heard a knock on my door.

I heard an elderly woman speak: “Guardy has informed me that you have woken up, may I come in? I have tea and snacks.”

Okay that’s something positive! That means they probably won’t do me any harm given the fact that they bother to give me food or maybe they are a vampire and need permission to enter my room. Ah! No that was if they wish to enter a house.

“Um sure.” I answered.

The door opened and an Old Lady walked in holding a tray. Wait, how did she open the door? It opened towards her, and it doesn’t seem like she can carry It with one hand.

“Good morning young lady did you sleep well?”

“Yes.” I should probably talk as little as possible to avoid giving up to much information or offending my savior.

“You don’t have to lie to me.” She said with a hearty chuckle. “It must have been a lot to take in given the fact that you didn’t know Pokémon exist in real life.”

She must have seen the shock on my face, so she started explaining.

“I must apologize Guardy, my Gardevoir, found a strong signal of fairy-type energy she didn’t recognize, you must understand my surprise when, instead of a new Pokémon species she found a Human child instead. You see, you possess a staggering amount of Type energy, something only Liza and Tate can match, they are Gym leader in Hoen for your information. Guardy wanted to know how you got here given the fact we are nowhere near civilization, so she intruded into your mind, the Gardevoir line has trouble restraining their empathic and telepathic abilities, it is something that they use one instinct, especially Ralts, they are incapable of restraining their empathiey. We were surprised when we learned that you didn’t know that Pokémon exist. May I ask where you’re from?”

“Okay, this may sound strange, but I am not from here. Shocker, I know. I am infact pretty sure I am not from this dimension at all! My body has deaged to! I look like me when I was 10 and I never had pink hair before! I think I’m freaking out!”

“Ah! that explains a lot.” she answered.

“Does it?”

“mhh.” She said nodding “That happens sometimes, It’s mostly people from parallel dimension. Dimensions that have Pokémon. I don’t know if someone ever came from a dimension without them, you could very well be the first.”

“That’s cool I guess?”

“Do you not wish to return back to your own dimension?”

“Nah, it was shit there anyways. I have no one that would miss me.”

“That is a bummer. Do you know what you want to do in the future? Do you have any Goals?”

“Is there something like a Pokémon trainer here? That sounds pretty nifty.”

“I was hoping you would say something like that! You have enormous potential as a fairy type specialist, and I so happen to be one. I would be honored to teach you.”

“Oh wow.” I said surprised someone would show me such kindness. “That would be incredibly nice! But wouldn’t it make more sense to not specialize? So that you can cover more type weakness?”

“Oh, you know about type weaknesses?”

“Um yeah, Pokémon were fictional in our world, we had Pokémon games and cartoons.”

“Interesting, very interesting indeed.” She said.

After a while in which she clearly thought about the ramifications of the information she continued: “You see, Pokémon form a bond with their trainer. There are many Pokémon as smart and even smarter as humans, so why would they follow the orders of beings less intelligent than them? The answer is that the bonds make it worthwhile for them.

Pokémon fight each other to get stronger, every Pokémon has an energy layer surrounding them. A lot of that energy they are incapable of using, so they battle each other. The winner will take the unused energy and uses that to strengthen themselves. Pokémon and trainer build a symbiotic relationship. The Pokémon will send the energy it gains from fights to the Trainer, the Trainer amplifies it and sends it back. The Pokémon profits because it gets more energy from every fight which results a faster and easier growth and the trainer gets stronger, more durable and adopts more traits of the Pokémon-type. That is especially true when the trainer has multiple Pokémon of that same type, the Pokémon share that energy and the amplification grows stronger and the trainer adapts faster. So while having a Greater type variety is an advantage I believe it to be less important then being in tune with your Pokémon. That doesn't mean unspecialized Trainer can’t get as strong as Specialists it just means it is harder, just look at Cynthia she is arguably the strongest trainer around.

“Very well! It won’t be easy that’s for sure. I will not allow you to settle for mediocrity! You have the potential to become the strongest Fairy-type trainer there is, granted the type was discovered not that long ago but that won’t stop you from trying you hardest anyway!”
