Part four: Min Yoongi chapter Thirteen

Part four: Min Yoongi chapter Thirteen

I shut the silky maroon curtians as the scorching sun curiously peeked over the towering mountain tops. The sky was a diamon blue, making me grimace in disgust. The horrid light bounced back as the shades closed it off, smothering the room in darkness. I brushed my fingers through my hair as I entered the living room where everyone except Savanna sat, pondering over the previous night. We had the girl in our grasp. We had made her believe that we had other sides to us. That we were good and cared for her. We just needed her to put her trust fully in us. That way, we were able to take her to the underworld and kill her. Feeding her soul to the Devil.

We had her in our grasp; in my grasp, but then that good-for-nothing angel came and interfered. Ruining everything. It had taken all my strength to regain control of the fallen creature’s mind. It had taken everything, I was too weak to use my abilities on her. I took a seat next to the fireplace and stared intently in the dancing flames. The heat radiated off, slapping me in the face. My thoughts were scattered. I didn’t love her; I knew the effect I had on Savanna. She was getting more and more lost in the world of Demons and Vampires. She was a fallen angel. She was vulnerable to almost all. There was one thing I had to prevent her from being subject to.

I glance over at Taehyung. His brown hair hung in his face as he tapped his foot. Patience was something that Vampires couldn’t handle. They didn’t know how to play the game. They took what they wanted, when they wanted. Us demons, however, learned the rules. We turned any situation into a game, and right now...it was a game of her feelings.

“Min Yoongi,” Jungkook’s voice said snapping me out of my thoughts. “What do we do now? We have part of her trust…”

“We need all of it.” Ho-seok says standing up. “You know the Devil won’t wait forever. Halloween is the prime time to get what he wants. We each get something we want on halloween.” I nod. Feeling the strong feeling of my demon clawing at my soul, I knew that it was time I played my card. It was my turn to roll the dice and make my move. The question was...what was my move?

---------------

Savanna walked out, staggering slightly. Her bright blond hair hung in her face, messily covering her face. She knocks into the wall as she enters the kitchen. I glance at the calender. Halloween was this upcoming Wednesday, which was two days away. I had to make my move quickly. She falls into the chair by the table and rubbed her eyes. She tilts her head toward the window, giving me a perfect glance at the Lock on her neck. The detailed tattoo gave meaning and life to my plan.

I clear my throat before walking to her. “You okay?” I ask, trying to make my voice sound as sympathetic as I could. She seemed to believe it, cause she gave me a bright smile.

“Yeah,” she answers. “Fine.”

I could see the true colors. Her wings were slowly turning white, panicking me slightly. I couldn’t let her submit to the counsel up there. They’d teach her the truth...the real plan that was throbbing in my head. I hurry to get closer to her, trying to get into her head. I knew I couldn’t control her actions, but I could control her thoughts, resulting in the actions that I wanted.

“So I was thinking,” I begin gaining her attention instantly. “Maybe you’d like to get to know the others personally?” She nodded her head and pushed her breakfast away from her. That sparked a feeling of pride in my chest. She was becoming more like us every second. Soon, her actions would lead to her doom. Her death.

“Sure,” she says giving me a genuine smile. I force a smile and stand up. “Who do you want me to meet first?” I think about it. Namjoon was the safest around her, yet...knowing his ideal for blood type, I knew I couldn’t leave her alone with him. Jimin fed off sorrow and sadness, yet she wasn’t upset. Then I realized his strong feelings for her, springing jealousy in my chest. Heck no. Jungkook wanted her dead. The two safest that I could think of was Seok-Jin and Ho-seok.

“Go see Seok-Jin. Then go to Ho-seok.” I instruct. “From there, you choose.” She nods and begins to walk past me, but I stop her by grabbing her arm and stop her. I put on a serious expression as I said the last few words. “Choose wisely. You belong to me.”

She seems to freeze as I held onto her arm. It would be so simple to just drag her to the underworld and kill her. It’d save so much time and save us this little game. But I knew the rules. It had to be of their own free will. But then again...when did I ever follow the rules.

I was about to drag her toward the door, when Jin walked in. His eyes landed on my hand grasping her arm. I release it and let her walk past as Jin stood there glaring.

“Don’t tell me you were about to break the rules.” he says agitating me. I roll my eyes and growl under my breath. I was so sick of this guy. Mind your own business. I thought. Jin sighed. “You know what happened when you break the rules.” I nod. I did. Did I care? Not one bit, but if I wanted the transfer to work, I had to listen to the rules.

“I know,” I say leaning against the counter. “But it would save us so much time if we just dragged them to the boss and let him kill them.” Jin nods and brushed his brown hair out of his face.

“Yes, well...rules are rules.” he says. “You chose this for yourself.” I shake my head.

“Don’t start! I don’t wanna hear about how I chose this destiny for myself. I didn’t.” I look at the doorway as I see the objects from previous victims. Victims that had given me what abilities I had now.

“I know it’s a sensitive topic for you, Yoongi.” Jin says. “But if you don’t talk about it, you may do something you’ll regret to future victims.” He turns to leave before flinging a shiny piece of metal at me. I look at it. The ruby Savanna wore. It was smooth to the touch and seemed to relax what stress I had.

Being a fallen angel would be so easy. They didn’t have to worry about rules, and jobs. They didn’t have to worry about killing and hunting. They had to worry about being hunted. I sigh.

Savanna had so much to live for. If we continued..her life would end midway. She’d miss out on so many great experiences. I roll my eyes. “So what?” I asked myself. “She’s the next wanted.” I drop the gem in the pile with the other victims belongings and exit the room.

“It’s all part of the game.”
