chapter five

I didn't rebel on purpose. That would be stupid to rebel on purpose. Heaven was the only home I had when I died. No, I didn't rebel for dumb reasons. I was saving someone's life. One thing you have to understand about angels and their duties; they can only show themselves once in a person's life. I showed myself when someone was trying to commit suicide. I had flown down and caught them right as they were about to hit the ground. Once I had saved them, the counsel had lectured me about being careful about showing myself onto mortals. That's when I gave up my spot and became a fallen angel. I thought I was better off without them. I was wrong.

Angelia walked with me down the street as we walk to school. I had figured it didn't matter how late I was. I'd get detention anyway. It was how my teachers treated me and my rebellious spirit.

"Alright," Angelia says catching my attention. "There are seven." Seven? I had lost my thoughts halfway through the conversation so I didn't know what she was talking about.

"Seven?" I repeat giving her a blank expression. She gives me a sympathetic expression.

"Yes. Seven servants to the Devil." she answers. "There are three Demons, two fallen angels and two vampires. They want you." I look ahead, feeling suddenly overwhelmed by the information. I stop walking, allowing the information to sink in. I was about to continue walking when a voice stops me. His voice.

"Princess," it taunts. "Wait for me." I stare at Angelia, feeling my words at loss and my body unresponsive to what I wanted to do. Angelia rushes to me trying to snap me back to reality.

"Savanna!!" she screams shaking me. "Wake up!" I shake my head and look at her with a dazed look. I give her a reassuring smile as we continue to walk, but we didn't make it very far when a stranger jumps in front of us. He licks his lips and chuckles.

"Look what we found," he says creeping closer. Angelia stands her ground, but gets frightened by the stranger's carmine eyes. "Dinner." I gasp as hands grab me from behind. I glance around and see that we're surrounded. Angelia glares as she gets grabbed, and immediately sinks to the ground.

"Angelia!" I scream trying to pry myself away from the stranger. And that's when I saw him. Min Yoongi walk up to me, his gaze cold and hard. "You." I mumble. He smirks and then glares at the person behind me.

"Take your hands off of her, Seok-Jin." he orders. The grip loosens yet, I still feel like I was still captured. I kneel beside my friend as she gives me a weak smile.

"What did you do to her?" I demand. Min Yoongi shakes his head and touches my face. I grimace and pull away.

"Didn't you know this about angels?" he quizzed. "They can't be touched by unclean things such as us." I look at him shocked and then touch my friend. "It weakens them, eventually killing them." I struggle as Min Yoongi pulls me up and away from Angelia who was on the ground curled up in a ball.

"Let go of me!" I scream yanking myself away from his grip. That really pissed him off. He glared at me before backing me up into a brick wall.

"Don't test me." he orders. "You belong to me and only me!" he turns and signals his group to follow. Thinking they were going to leave us, I sink to the ground. Boy was I wrong. I get grabbed by a pale stranger. His hair was dark, almost black and his eyes was a mix of red and brown. He smirked as he dragged me along with the group.

I glance back and see Angelia starting to recover, yet still not strong enough to chase after us. I felt in danger in the hands of demons. I watch the stranger who I figured was Seok-Jin as he looked at my necklace.

"It's playtime, princess." he says before waving his hand in front of my face. I felt my eyelids become heavy and the urge to sleep was powerful. I try to fight it off but knew it was impossible. The last thing I felt before I blacked out completely was a sharp pain in my neck. I was going to die.
