Chapter 2: Deal with White Snake

Chapter 2: Deal with White Snake

Inside the Dhruv Bakshi subconscious mind, the White Snake ‘Will’ got in and started connecting itself into Dhruv’s neurons and absorbing it.

After a few moments, white and red blood rushed towards Dhruv’s subconscious from its body.

First, red blood came and started condensing itself into a spherical form. The White Snake watched this process and was stupefied, “Wisdom talent!”

“What luck! This lad greatly benefited from his misfortune.”

Soon, white blood was also getting mixed with red blood, which is logically impossible.

Gulp~ with a gulp, the White Snake cleared her throat. With the mix of both bloods, a new ‘Pink Receptor’ was formed, which was shining brightly, and from inside, a laughing voice came out.

“Hahaha, White Snake, you also died together with me; then what was the point of biting me?” Dhruv Bakshi said this while mocking and looking at the snake, which was surrounded by countless neurons around its body.

“Who said we were dead?” She rebuked.

Dhruv Bakshi was dumbfounded listening to a snake speak and thought, ‘I’m really dead, aren’t I? Hearing a girl’s voice from a snake’ He didn’t speak and started observing the surroundings before himself; then, he saw a spherical ball with a thin membrane containing hundreds of small crystal-like red balls and two crystal white balls inside it. He then started thinking of the different possibilities and outcomes of the many questions that were generating in his mind.

While he did that, one of his red beads was consumed, which was noticed by the White Snake.

“Chill out, dude.” The white snake shouted, interrupting his thoughts.

“What’s the matter now?” Dhruv was a little confused and asked.

She thought for a moment, ‘If I use this chance correctly, I can definitely make use of him to fulfill my agenda for coming here.’ She then replied in a scolding tone, “look at your red bead; it’s already one down. How fast are you thinking, that you expanded one million thoughts in a few breaths of time?”

“Mumm, what should I do? And where are we now?” Dhruv asked with an embarrassed tone. Never in his whole life did he guess that one day he would get scolded by a snake.

She closed her connection with his subconscious and thought, ‘This is really bad for me, now that he has become a Wisdom Practitioner out of everything else in the whole Galaxy. I should not tell him about everything which might backfire, but I have to explain a few things to make him useful.’

“Alright now, I think you are overwhelmed by the things you are seeing and hearing, and I also know you have a lot of questions right now. So, for your first question, attach your will to neurons so as not to lose red beads, and for your second, we are in your subconscious.” she replied.

After hearing that, as soon as he connected his Pink Receptor to neurons the Receptor changed its colour to ‘Dark Purple’, She saw this with a confused look, ‘I haven’t seen Purple Receptor in the whole Galaxy, what am I dealing with?’ She started contemplating if she can really make use of him, while she was lost in her thoughts Dhruv controlled his body and started controlling it.

In the cave-like entrance, he slowly opened his eyes, and with almost no difficulty, he stood up.

“Oh yeah, I also recovered your body to its peak condition.” White Snake said with a prideful tone.

“First of all, thank you but while you are connected to my subconscious, can you read my thoughts?” He was grateful but also showed suspicions as he was already thinking about the changes in his body.

“Not real-time thoughts, but I can copy your memories and decipher them slowly to make them my memories, which takes time. You don’t have to worry; I am just recovering myself by absorbing your neurons.” She replied truthfully.

“Alright, then let’s call it even, yeah.”

“Can you stop me, though?”

“Not yet.”

Huff, White Snake let out a small breath and thought, ‘Not yet means, if needed, he can find a way to obstruct me from recovering. Wisdom practitioners are really hard to deal with, and he is just a newbie. What a shame.’

“Let’s call it even then.” She compromised and replied.

“That’s good, but is it alright to see ghosts at dawn?”

“Tri-Triple talent, now I understand the ‘Purple Receptor’? Ahem! Forget what I said.” She blurted out her thoughts loudly in shock.

Dhruv Bakshi’s eyebrows rose after that response, and his eyes showed a lot of curiosity, but he held on for now because the ghost he was seeing was none other than his mother and sister.

He looked at his hand and walked a few steps out of the cave-like entrance. And immediately afterwards, when he stepped on a stone with his bare foot, he felt a slight pain.

“I’m really alive.” With a soft voice, he spoke.

“Of course, you are not alive, idiot. You can consider yourself half-dead.”

“You know, White Snake, your words are like a cold bucket of water thrown onto a boy who is immense in his beautiful dream, like an auspicious brick in a perfect Jenga tower, and a sharp blade that bursts open the balloon.” Dhruv said this in a praising tone.

“Although I don’t know what Jenga and balloons are, I can say that you definitely are not praising me, but the truth is the truth.” she replied with a grumpy tone.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

“Okay, let’s talk more when we get back home. In the meantime, I will pick up some memories that would be helpful to you.” He said this and thought, ‘I need to process what’s going on around me then take new information.’

He looked back at the cave-like entrance and the following ghostly mom and sister and thought, I don’t know if this is an opportunity or a disaster. I will make full use of it, but where is father?

He recalled the scene of his father in the C. P. Hospital while going downhill.

In the emergency room, Dhruv held his father’s hand with teary eyes, but to his surprise, his father was smiling.

With a low and weak tone, his father whispered, “Tomorrow night at Terut Mountain, your opportunity awaits.”

With that said, he left the world.

Fatherr…

Honk! Honk!

Uncle Ricky came from behind while honking and stopped next to Dhruv Bakshi.

“What happened to your clothes, boy?”

“Nothing to worry about, Uncle; I fell.”

“Alright, after bathing, come for breakfast.”

Vroom~ he left.

...

After finishing everything, he closed his eyes and sat on the couch.

Dhruv’s Subconscious.

White Snake: “First and foremost, congratulations on awakening the subconscious and forming the Receptor at the same time, which is generally impossible for anyone.”

“Receptor and subconscious awakening” he muttered and replied. “White Snake, let’s make a deal. I don’t believe there is anything in the world called a free lunch, but first, answer some of my questions.”

“Sure, ask away.” She felt relieved that he took the initiative.

“Can a ghost be revived?”

“It is called soul not ghost and no it cannot be revived as every soul undergoes the cycle of reincarnation after death in the Soul Domain, but your memories will be wiped and your soul will cleanse before reincarnating. In your case, you can directly advance to the Top-world if you want, since you awakened your subconscious. Without your memories, of course.” She answered.

“Are there any universal principles that everyone follows?”

“Nothing is fully wrong or right; advantages and disadvantages are like twin brothers. Everyone works or develops for their own benefit. And everything comes at a certain price; nothing is free.” She replied and thought, ‘why is he not asking about his powers. Is he not curious?’

Dhruv went silent for a moment then asked, “What do you think of the price I paid for the benefits that I have now?”

“Your price is on hold right now. After two months, you will be forbidden to enter this or any small world because you have awakened your subconscious. And as I said earlier, you can either go to mid-world or top-world. And the other price you paid has been recovered, like your life energy in blood, which I recovered, and your soul, which was coincidentally saved by those five Soul Avatar idiots using those mysterious stone tablets.” She replied while showing disappointment in her tone.

“It seems you are not happy with my soul being recovered.”

“Of course, if not for that, then I would have been in possession of your body.” She replied bluntly.

“Can you not leave my body”

“No”

“So, you are like a parasite in a snake form?” Dhruv remarked.

“What nonsense are you spouting now, I’m a ‘Will Clone’.” She rebuked.

‘Well either way you are stuck with my body.’ He thought and asked “What are the five Soul Avatars?”

“Soul Avatar is a term used for Black Soul Clone, and I’m in my ‘Will form’ which can be described as White Soul Clone but not fully though as I am independent as my main body.” The White Snake continued to share the events that occurred at the cave entrance while he was unconscious.

White snake using Dhruv's left hand punched his face. Bam! She did that while checking her control over his body and was disappointed but didn’t show it while talking.

“Ahh! What the hell? You can control my body. And what’s your identity, by the way? From your voice, you are a girl, right?”

“Ahem! Finally, as you asked, I am the greatest thief in the whole Galaxy. You can call me White Snake, as I don’t share my real name. Please don’t mind it; it’s related to my talent. And, yes, I’m a girl, and earlier I was checking my control over your body, which is pretty limited to be fair.” She replied truthfully.

“You are a weirdo; you know that.”

“Haha, thanks.” she laughed it off.

Dhruv’s soul came out and floated in front of his body. He has a ghostly white body with long legs, normal arms, and a face similar to his body. Sharp eyes with black pupils, a straight nose, and thin lips. On his brain, there is a circular ‘Purple Receptor’, and faint glow can be seen from it.

Under the control of White Snake, Dhruv’s body also stood up from the couch, and she said, “You know ‘Receptor’ is an imaginary organ or a container which is normally located in our right chest and nobody can see them but since you are a Wisdom Practitioner your Receptor is in your mind.

“Then how can you see mine?” Dhruv asked as he found inconsistency with her words.

“I don’t know, this is my first time looking at a Receptor other than mine. Ah! and red bead, white bead, and black bead is the base foundation of every practitioner, or in your language, you can say it’s a battery.” She explained and continued.

“And you are a bit special, everyone has a single type of bead in their Receptor, but in your case, there are two types of beads, and possibly you have three types, as I can physically look at your soul form, which I shouldn’t have because I’m a White Soul user, not a Black Soul user.”

“Hmm, So, concluding all that, a Receptor is an engine, Beads are fuel, people using it to perform skill are drivers, I mean Practitioner. And people who are collectively using the same beads power are users of different brands.” Dhruv summarized.

“Damn, you caught on quick. More or less, you got the gist of it.” After explaining all that, she got close to my soul form and tried kissing me with my own body for God’s sake, but fortunately she passed through me.

“As expected, I can’t touch your soul, nor can you touch anything in that state. You are in an extremely weakened state.”

“Don’t do uncanny stuff, White Snake.”

“What? We are experimenting; don’t take it too seriously, dude. More than that, I don’t know much about Black Soul user’s cultivation and I advise you not to develop your Black Soul too much, but now your soul is in an extremely weakened state, so we are in a dilemma.”

He entered the body and asked — “What do you need from me? As long as it doesn’t violate my own principles, I will lend you a hand.”

“You are really taking things lightly; I like this attitude of yours. Alright I need the Soul Boxes of those five Black Soul users. You can take the souls inside, if there are any.”

“It's not like I want to, but I have to. The things we are talking about are unbelievable so even the minute details are important to me. But before I agree, can you explain to me. What is the purpose of the Soul Box? And what will happen to the souls if they leave this world?” Dhruv helplessness could be seen from his tone while he asked.

“Soul Box is an exclusive artifact of the organization where they are from. It is used for collecting souls from a wide range of areas, and how much it can contain, I have no idea. As for the souls, obviously they will be converted to black beads as they can’t produce their own naturally.” She explained and continued.

“You can think of the small world as the foundation of every other world. Because it produces the purest souls, thus the heavy restrictions on entry or exit are implemented here.” She paused and let him digest the information and continued.

“And from you, I only need to borrow your body and help, in any way you can as you awaken your subconscious and form a Receptor with three talents. If we utilize it properly you can become the strongest person here as we are limited here. As for payment, I will honestly answer any five questions for five Soul Boxes.” She made her deal once again knowing Dhruv’s need.

Dhruv thought for a while, then said, “I need one Soul Box. What do you think about that? And we will find those five Avatars promptly so as to reduce the loss of lives here. Lastly, help me recover my soul so I can be of help.”

Huff~ White Snake let out a sigh of relief. 'Well, he is, after all, a newbie with zero knowledge or power; if it were me, I would have taken three boxes for myself. But then again, without knowing it, he asked for one box—a smart play by him. I’m impressed.'

Cough, cough!

Dhruv gave a fake cough, breaking her train of thought. He wondered if he is demanding more but only 5 questions that’s way less of a payment then extortion.

“Ahem! Alright, I agree to your terms. And to show my goodwill, I will give you some free knowledge. You are a dual practitioner now, possibly a triple practitioner when you get Black bead, but they are artificially created. We can only get that from Black souls.” She replied happily and continued.

“Almost every practitioner possesses one innate skill which is powered by the respective beads and bound to their soul, later they can develop other skills by some conditions. And the more beads you store in your Receptor the stronger your soul but then again how much you can store is also proportional to how higher your Level is.”

“Your main skill is Wisdom, which is powered by your red bead. It actually doesn’t have any offense or defense in essence, but throughout history Wisdom practitioners are the scariest. And they don’t divulge their cultivation techniques to others, so, I can’t help you with that as Wisdom talent itself is as rare as dual practitioners.”

“The second skill is related to helping, which is powered by your white bead. I know about it the best, as I am one.”

“The third skill is related to Soul, it would not be wrong to say that this skill is powered by soul instead of black bead, of which you don’t have any. And I know some details about Black Soul, so I can help you here too.”

“So, we know about the Red Soul skill which is Wisdom but we can’t use it. And we have to figure out what skill you have in White and Black Soul of yours. Huff, this is more than enough information for you. So, talk to me the day after tomorrow, I need some rest and recovery.” She concluded everything which made her throat dry.
