Four Banners, Four Standards
Four Flowers, Four Weathers
Four Kings, Four Countries
Four Winds, Four Directions
Upon their fields of shade and light.
Flowers, or birds appear to fly across
my sight.
Four there were,
But I can only remember One.
The First they called it,
And also the most beautiful.
A combination of soft reds, glacial turquoise,
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
Deep purple and delicate lavender
That could stir the heart before the
main feature had caught the eye.
Two fluttering orchids as pink as cherry blossom,
Seeming to fly across a pale lilac moon.
A crest, an emblem,
A banner, A Standard,
Four there were,
And I wish that I could remember
the others,
But I would not have any one of them replace
the Orchids of the North.
