The machine's head pops out of its body after it finished the booting process, the machine has been resting for more than 14 hours since its return to the colony chamber, so far everything has been going nice and smooth for the machine, no bug attack, no random unknown lifeform invading the area, and the thermal anomaly is still there, slowly but steadily supplying the machine its much needed power to keep its system active.

Today is also the weekend for the machine, Sunday as its makers called it, a day for resting and recuperating, the machine has no need for two such things as the machine can't feel tired nor bored, it decides to spend the day looking into all the new information and ore data it just got and see if it can improve the colony chamber by building something or cleaning the messy place. The machine will try spending an entire day for the colony chamber today.

The first thing the machine does to start the day is checking the fabricator, as usual, the experimental thermal converter is completed and the machine has no idea if it will work or not, and the only way to know is to build the thing and test runs it.

The machine decides to place the power generator plan next to the fabricator to hook the two up to keep the fabricator running on the stationary power generator instead of relying on the machine's power supply unit. And while retrieving the nanite and constructing the generator, the machine also queues up an order to refine the uranium and strontium from the ores it got from yesterday fight, both of those radioactive elements are good candidates for running radioisotope thermoelectric generators, including the dried one inside the machine.

[/Thermalconverterv2_constructed]

After spending ten minutes building the power generator by using the nanite constructor, the machine inspects the generator and tries to make it work, but after the 100th try, the machine gives up on the generator, it seems like the machine could not recreate the thermal anomaly on the generator to make it work. The machine will have to try again on a later date after it got a grip on how its thermal converter could generate heat and electricity from thin air but the same thing in front of the machine could not.

The machine quietly deconstructs its failed experimental generator and redesign it into a normal RTG based power generator, the same type which was once used to power satellites and autonomous probes back in its original world. While the system does not generate much power comparing to the more powerful fission reactor, hydrogen fuel cells or fusion reactors used by its makers, the system still very reliable and easy to produce with basic raw material that the fabricator can process, the very reason why the machine chose the design.

The machine drew a plan for a 1500W RTG that will be running on strontium, weighing one metric ton and having a rather large, bulky size due to the lack of high-tiered material and proper electronic system. What the machine just created is not something it would be proud of, but it is something the machine would have to deal with for now until it gathered more material to produce a better one.

As the machine transfers the plan to the fabricator to get it prepared, the machine notices the Uranium has been refined and ready for deployment, the machine's power problem can finally be mitigated, if not nearly solved. The machine quickly extracts the twin inactive RTG cells from its body and deconstructs the content inside with the nanite constructor to reclaim the radioactive shielding film and whatever remains in the cells, then it applies the film onto the newly refined Uranium fuel rods before constructing it and putting them into the RTG cells.

As the machine slides the two RTG cells into its mounting racks and seals the entire assembly in its hull, the machine feels a rise of internal system temperature and power voltage as the two RTG cells pour power into the power distribution system, the machine can finally see its power balance turns positive without shutting down for the first time. That mean the machine can freely do casual works like walking around and constructing objects in the chamber without having to shut down every five to six hours to recharge its internal power reserve. The machine will still need to shut itself down to charge up some spare power in case the machine have to fight something though as quick, accurate combat movements draws much more power than simple idle actions like the thing the machine is doing at this moment, walking around and thinking about many things in its CPUs.

The machine decides to give the fabricator a bit more power to hasten the material preparation process while keeping the power balance above negative figure, then it shifts its focus into inspecting and researching the unknown materials found in the ores, as the machine opens the container to look for the thing and pick it up, the machine notices a few things it could not see with only infrared light like before, the unknown material closely resembles some kind of raw, but colorful gemstones, the gems are somewhat brittle and cold by touch, and on closer inspection with the new Lesser Mana Sense skill, the machine also finds the gemstone have an odd blueish fog surrounding it similar to the things it saw before during the journey to find its head and the thermal converter inside its hull, except that the machine's thermal converter seems always sucking the endless cloud of blue fog into it instead of just having the fog hovering around the gemstone. The machine is uncertain of what this mean, it assumes that the blue fog is some kind of undiscovered power source or something similar as the fog seems connected to the thermal anomaly happening inside the machine based on the things it has been observing and taking note of ever since the machine got and started using the Sense skill every now and then.

The machine continues trying to solve the mystery for thirty minutes straight, but so far the machine has gotten nothing new out of it, so the machine decides to put the problem aside for now once again as it returns to the fabricator to retrieve the prepared nanites needed to build the generator and the Strontium fuel rod for it, like the experimental generator the machine decided to place the new RTG plant right next to the fabricator before installing the fuel rod to start the generator. The big radioisotope thermoelectric generator is nowhere as good as the smaller and higher class RTG cells in the machine, but it won't leak out any dangerous radiation to the environment around it and provide more than enough power to run the fabricator at full capability.

Now that the power problem has been resolved, the machine could move on building other types of noncritical constructions, expanding the container, building a few power accumulators and improving the defense structures of the colony chamber are the 3 things first come to its mind as it looks at the 'to construct' list, the machine also planning to build a second power generator to expand the list of what it can do too, if it has enough spare materials for it, that is.

[Pioneer 0 gained a new Title: The Founder.]

The machine is uncertain what that mean and the machine does not really care as it has a long list of works needed to be done, its weekend only just began.
