In the fresh and clean air of the forest, Rain was on his stomach while hiding in the grass; the dried leaves atop his body allowed him to be safely hidden, making great efforts to suppress his breathing to the lowest extent, his breath seemed to completely vanish.
His body as still as rocks while his eyes penetrated the grass and stared unwaveringly at the giant deer which was slowly walking towards his direction.
Today was already the 21st day in the game world since Rain had gotten new items and equipment. Seven days or one week had also passed by in the real world.
During these days, aside from essential routines such as eating, sleeping and taking a bath, Rain wouldn’t exit the game for no apparent reason and spend his time training and leveling inside the game.
This causes him to get scolded harshly by Louise. However, he just ignores it and continued to play like a madman.
During this one week, Rain had learned a lot from experience, especially hunting.
Rain even spend some time to read some books and watch videos about hunting, martial arts and even books about surviving inside the jungle as to be able to learn faster and become used to it. He didn’t waste even a bit of time and did the things he could do.
In these past few days, Rain’s body showed some improvements. He became more robust and his perception slightly improved as well. As he planned, he went out hunting every day.
Because of this, his leveling speed can only be describe in one word; Terrifying!
As he got used to the life of a primitive man, living in a cave and hunting for livelihood, his life in the game had somewhat improved.
Killing monsters that surpassed him in level became much simpler with his new items. Each and every weapon would deal real and genuine damage more than his old small dagger.
They were also times where he ended in him fleeing for his life. If not for the giant spider protecting him, he might have already been killed at most twelve times.
However, although he ran many times, the life and death battles with the monsters helped Rain to emit a sense of genuine blood thirst…
His reflexes and battle sense had drastically improved by a huge margin.
Thus, despite the dangers he continued to move about and brave the dangers from monster’s attacks as he continued his cautious ways of survival.
And now, Rain couldn’t help but become excited as he looked at his new prey. It was a rare animal …no, monster.
The giant deer in front of Rain was a matured three-eyed spotted deer. It was the monster version of the Philippine spotted deer.
In reality, the Philippine Spotted Deer can be found on the island of Panay and Negros. It is one of three endemic deer species in the Philippines. It was also called Visayan spotted deer, Prince Alfred’s sambar, Sambar de Prince Alfred, and others.
Just like in the real world, the Philippine spotted deer is easily recognized by its namesake spots.
The overall coat color is a very dark brown; although sometimes, it has reddish highlights, but the sides are covered with a smattering of white or buff spots. These spots are largest over the hips and grow smaller and fainter towards the shoulders. The undersides and inside surfaces of the legs are white, as is the underside of the short tail.
The head of the Visayan spotted deer is rather pointed. The head is paler than the body and the forehead and muzzle are dark.
Rain could guess that this deer was a Male because of its thick and bumpy antlers with three tines on each.
Normally this kind of adult deer should have the size of 125 to 130 cm long from head to the base of the tail but this animal was a monster. Its size almost doubles the normal size of its kind. Its antler that should’ve been short was long and almost easily bypassing the 30 cm mark.
Although this deer is considered to be the most endangered deer anywhere in the world but because it was now nothing but a monster, Rain has no qualms in hunting it.
When Rain entered his hunting mode, his mind was highly concentrated and the sound of his footsteps became unnoticeable.
The pores on his skin were closed through involuntary contraction, helping him to hide his scent. The experience these days had allowed him to adapt to rhythm of hunting, and his body also responded to such adaptation by enhancing the strength of certain muscles.

From downwind, Rain lurked as a cat, his feet making no sounds while he moved, he leaned forward to ensure the direction of the wind was correct and he entered his hunting zone.
While he marched forward, he locked an arrow into his bow, and adjusted his position so that he was at the downwind direction all the way to the front of the prey.
Although Rain was certainly a mage but he can’t use magic while hunting because it was just too flashy and eye-catching.
And so, he had no choice but to familiarize himself in different hunting weapons such as the bow.
Human Beings are really creatures need to be feared. Their tenacity, will, perseverance and endless possibilities are really frightening.
At first, Rain doesn’t know left and right about Bows. He couldn’t even perfectly hit a target 6 meters away from him. But just over 10 days of mad-like practice, Rain had somewhat learned some basic skills to shot a bow.
He could now hit the target over ten meters away.
“Humans are really tenacious.” Rain couldn’t help but lamented.
— —
Looking at his prey, Rain quietly drew his bow to its limit.
The bow looked like it was going to break any second, as the arrow on the bow looked like a rough handicraft. The arrowhead was nothing but a sharpened end of the arrow shaft.
Although Rain had acquired 25 Iron tipped arrows, however, he was appalled in using such good arrows just for hunting and so he brace himself to use only the wooden arrows.
Even though it’s only like that, it still possessed enough power to kill. With the diameter of the arrow being around 1 cm, whoever got shot would certainly feel their as* flowering.
However, the hand that was drawing the bowstring back did not release it yet as Rain still looked at the three-eyed spotted deer, eyes glued to the sight and the bow was stable as though it were placed over a holder.
If there was someone present there and saw him, they would certainly feel an indescribable kind of feeling, Rain had yet to fire the arrows, but they would feel as though the arrow will surely hit the target.
Rain at this moment was like a lion crouching in the bush waiting for his prey, releasing an awe-inspiring aura.
— —
The surrounding area was as though there is only one person, Rain. The look he had on his eyes was as though an eagle is waiting to catch its prey.
Rain’s still slightly significant tender cheeks, firm look, and gestures gave others a feeling of ‘Lake without depths’.
He then solemnly says, ‘Alright’ and gathered his determination. Rain took a deep breath. Calm down! Calm down! Rain! Remember the Goddess of Victory is always on the side of Justice!
Rain breathe a mouthful of air and then,
—He let it loose.
Just like that, the arrow silently disappeared without a trace.
The arrow turned into a black shadow, flying through the air and going straight to the target.
Whoosh!
The bolt that left turned into a white light, gracefully flew quickly.
The angle that Rain targeted is just exactly the blind spot in the three-eyed spotted deer’s sight.
The arrow was so fast that Rain’s dynamic vision only captured a touch of black light.
And because the arrow was so fast, within a blink of an eye, it flew right to the target’s head.
While Rain was delighted by his accurate aiming, the three-eyed spotted deer suddenly turned its head towards the approaching arrow and immediately jump away.
This instantaneous action nearly caused the arrow to fail to hit its target. Fortunately, the deer noticed it too late and was still hit on its right hind leg.
However, Rain was still petrified.
His aiming and timing was excellent but it was still perceived by the deer. Who wouldn’t feel vexed?!
“!?”
The spotted deer that was hit fell onto the ground and struggled violently. It then looked towards Rain’s location and opened its mouth.
“Grraaaaaa!!”
Boom!
A long-transparent blade constructed entirely of air was fire from the deer’s open mouth and launch towards Rain’s position.
F*ck!
Seeing this, Rain cursed inwardly as he immediately dived to the side.
Bang!
Rain immediately raised his head and looked at the position he was in before and was dumbstruck. He saw only a thin slice at the huge tree’s thick bark as the other plants and bushes around it fall to the ground, split into two pieces.
[ You have been Attacked! ]
[ Three-Eyed Spotted Deer Lv3 ]
Rain’s eyes were wide in disbelief as he subconsciously touched his stomach.
If he was late in jumping, his body would have been the one split two.
Without hesitation, Rain immediately moved. His body suddenly slightly arced, maintaining his position for a little bit.
Then, like a drawn bow, he shot out from the ground like a flash of lightning, causing the dried leaves to fly up and fill the air before slowly floating back down.
Time waits for no one!
Although Rain was in panic, he didn’t lose his pace.
He couldn’t let the monster attack again or else he would be deadmeat!
Rain’s body passed through the falling leaves to arrive at the back of the giant wolf. Tightly clenching his fist, flames sprouted and instantly covered his whole arm.
This was his original skill; [ Flame Armament ]!
When his fire magic finally reached level three, he found out that he could actually control his fire magic. Although not as freely as he wanted to but still it was incredible.
Controlling the flames for the first time made Rain ecstatic. And then suddenly an idea struck him.
Maybe he could use this for many things?
As a Filipino, Rain always admired powerful superheroes and even super villains.
One of them was Pyro, a super villain that possess a psionic ability to manipulate flame by shaping it as he desires, increasing or decreasing its heat, intensity, and size.
Although he was a villain but his powers can really make anyone drool.
And so, Rain didn’t waste any time and began training his fire magic. As a result, he created a new skill; [ Flame Armament ].
Rain managed to do it on his fifty-third attempt.
It was really hard causing him to fail each time. However, an improvement finally appeared at the thirty first practices.
And at the thirty-ninth practice, the flame was no longer flying from his hand. Instead, it appeared above his hand. And at the fifty-third time, he was now able to cover his arm with fire.
His first original magic; [ Flame Armament ]
