Les had been denied visits to Nathan Camshron ever since he was arrested. The morning was no different.
"Why should you see him? Do you want to become his lawyer or what?" Mr. Fernsby had told him once while he was having a bad day.
Every day seemed to be a bad day for him.
Confining someone who was an investigation on the case had put the entire Haq murder mystery on the hold.
"Two days." Les counted on his finger while he sat on his desk, realizing it had been two days since Camshron was thrown in a cell.
Getting along with a new detective was going to be tough for him.
When he moved to the third finger, he thought he was insignificant in the times where he was not under a mission.
All it mattered was the new detective getting along with Mr. Fernsby.
"Five." He counted.
Five days later, they were going to appoint a new detective for Haq's case.
Before he could become a mathematician of his own, his phone rang.
He pressed the Receive button.
"Yes." Les forgot to introduce himself on a device which was given to him by Department of Secondary Affairs.
"From DEA. Are you SWAT Officer, Mr. Les?" the caller asked.
Why would DEA contact me? He was not very positive.
"Yes. I'm Les." He replied for the sake of politeness.
"We thought it would be better if we informed this to DSA's SWAT Officer. This matter would have been of your concern sooner or later." The person scoffed, "Just canceled the delay part."
"What happened?"
"Yesterday we had busted some drug dealers. But we stumbled into an unlicensed gun trader by mistake. The gun seller possessed the hologram which reportedly Phantom Being also had."
Les was startled to hear it.
"Did you arrest the man as well?" Les questioned.
"He is still in our custody. He is CIA's headache after all."
"I'll inform Mr. Fernsby about this."

Supreme Court exists in DC and so does the MPD. There is no safest temporary prison arrangement except there in whole DC. Hence MPD was also involved in this case so CIA and whole US government trusted the MPD for short prison of Norton until he was declared the criminal as per the law. MPD along with CIA was sure about the existing security arrangement capacity.

Two days had passed after the trial in the court and everything seemed to be well calmed down. Killing or any attack hadn’t happened in South Dakota, Langley, as well as in Washington DC since then. Norton was in MPD's most secure cell. The cell was of about 3×4 meters, had four CCTV cameras, a sink, a toilet seat and a small bed. Very uncomfortable for him, but he did not care what his physical comfort meant to him.
Now his mental comfort was the only thing he needed and the only way to it was being pulled off the matter. Last day he had sent an appeal in White House about his innocence and the decision was pending. They were going to be canceled, anyway. If the appeal was canceled, then there was not any way out of these.
Norton was taken out of his cell for the first time by two heavy, muscular Afghan guards. Norton saw a bunch of keys hanging on one's waist and he was sure a gun would be hanging on the other side of waist. Norton was soon sweating.
All he needed to do was to grab the gun, shoot the guard, steal the keys, and run for his life. This was a perfect chance. He had now lot of things to get but nothing except his life to take.
Who wants this life which can end after few months? His mind had started thinking pessimistically.
Now Norton was in attack mode. He could feel both guards loosing grip on his arms. His face turned red. He was busy in looking at gun and key, ignoring where he was being taken to. He was prepared for the battle in a second.
Norton moved to release himself from the grip of heavy men, but they noticed it and pushed him very hard.
Wham!
Now he was in a room, not the execution chamber. He saw a chair and a telephone just in front of it and the lawyer standing behind the unbreakable glass.
Lawyer waved his hands. Norton just got on the earth.
If he had tried to escape, then he was going to be shot by any cop.
