Sun had already settled in horizon and it was time for someone to take a huge advantage.
"CAB! CAB! CAB!" someone was shouting in an way, waving at many cars running on the noisy street.
It looked like the man was in a hurry due to some reason.
The reason which made a critical difference between normal life and his life.
A yellow cab with some strips stopped. The man who was calling for a taxi was tall, wore a Muslim cap and was looking to be a VIP.
The yellowish man had a briefcase in his hand.
Driver gave him a recognized look.
"What happened, Mr. Haq? You don’t look normal today." Driver said.
"Headache." Haq said, getting inside the cab.
"Straight to your residence?" asked the driver.
"No. I will tell you directions. Start driving."
The driver moved his taxi a meter back and drove it over the speed limit.
In a minute, the driver turned on the radio where American song was being played.
"Happy independence day, Mr. Haq." said the cab driver.
Mr. Haq did not make any reaction. He just said, "Drive slow."
And the driver did so.
Mr. Haq's full name was Mohammad Ul Haq. He was a worker in Embassy of Afghanistan, which is in Washington D.C. He was a part of it since long five years. He had been to several parts of America for his work. Sometimes he was sent to foreign countries too, but for most he had been sent to Afghanistan.
He was aware American embassy didn’t prefer to talk their issues with him. So he was out of Afghan government since a long time. Even though he had support of NATO but was called un-trustable by various intelligence agencies.
His appearance was Trust Resistant. His two teeth were almost out of his mouth, had a short trimmed beard and mustache and wore spectacles.
The man in his mid fifties was almost bald. Even though he had nothing to do with Egyptian blood, he was mistaken as a person from Egypt.
After a while of direction instructions, Haq told the driver to stop the car.
Taxi stopped.
He went down and waited till taxi was out of his sight. He had a look in his briefcase. He touched it, threw it under a tree just near to the nonbusy road.
Haq then walked fast and got in his car, which was already present at the distance of fifty meters from him.
He got in and ran for his car in bullet speed.
Driving in eight at night made him miss his house.
He was sweating, but it had nothing to do with the house.
In the matter of minutes his facial expressions had been changed. He pulled out his Glock 38 Pistol from the car's drawer, put it near to the steering wheel and placed it on his seat just on his left side.
In a minute drive, he arrived at his house. More than house it was more like a villa with large area. It was offered to him from embassy a year ago. That's why it had a big car parking area under cemented room.
Some cars were already parked there. Some of those cars were of his neighbors and those people who had been to his house a day before for a small meeting.
He parked his Volkswagen just behind a Ford but felt it was uncomfortable in there. He reversed gears and stopped it at a place near to exit shutter of it.
Then he came out of the car by sweating.
Exhausted, Haq lit his cigar and puffed smoke out. He was thinking about the briefcase mainly, but was also thinking about the event which had happened today. All special embassy members from various countries were invited to The White House because President wanted to have urgent words with them.
A secret conference was to be held there.
No cameras were allowed in there and the program was to be held in there but because of security reasons president was unable to attend the conference and hence it was lead to cancelation.

Conference looked to be very important for Haq, but now it was canceled. Top class security arrangement was there. CCTV cameras, x-ray machines, Metal detectors etc were there and cops had made no fault in security but it was said danger was not outside The White House.
Haq got depressed because it made a delay in his official work as well as his private life.
He got to present when he saw lights getting dim and in an interval of few seconds, the lights were making sound. Electric problem? He thought. After a few seconds, nearly thirty, the flashing didn’t stop.
Something must be wrong. He picked his car's keys out of lock and then put it in his pocket. He threw his cigar and took a few steps toward exit which was fifteen meters far from him.
He couldn't believe it, but he heard tramps of a person. His hearing capacity was brilliant. He even heard those slightest tramps coming behind him. In a second, the flashing grew even faster and this time he saw a figure moving behind him.
He turned back and saw a small piece of cloth behind a pillar nearly four meters far from him. Whatever it was but was very near to touch corner of parking area.
"You…" he said and tried to grab Glock 38 on his waist. He terribly realized he had forgotten his pistol in his car and the car was locked. More than it, he was very near to the haunting figure.
"Who is there?" he roared.
But no answer came. For a while Haq felt it was his illusion and result of tension.
KKKRRREEEKKK….
Electricity was again making sound and now lights were also going dim. He then felt the situation was turning into nothing else other than danger.
His lips dried when saw shutter of the parking area slowly being closed.
He hadn’t done it, but somebody had done it.
Haq was just a few meters away from his car. He picked out his car keys and pressed the button. Car made an alarm like sharp beep.
Now car was unlocked.
All he needed to do was either get in his bulletproof car or take the gun out and fight with the strange man with him. He chose the second option because the whole car was not bulletproof, just its windows were. He slowly walked for a while and towards his car. Then his suspicion came true. From the same corner a bullet came whistling and nearly hit him.
It hit the concrete wall.
Haq was just about to open his car door at the same time someone in a hat with face hidden and long brownish coat wearing person appeared and fired.
But he did not miss his target this time.
It hit on his right chest.
He felt the bullet piercing his lungs and passing out of him, but Haq tried to get in the car. He was stopped by a firing on his heart by the stranger. However, he opened door and made a grip on his gun.
He fired blindly on the stranger, but he was much faster. Intruder started to run at exit shutter but Haq was still firing at him although he knew he didn’t have more time to live.
It was the moment.
He felt a bullet passing through his forehead. He dropped his gun then.
His body fell on floor shortly after.
Killer then slowly approached nearer to the dead body. He kicked on his nose hard and broke his nose. Killer rubbed his eyebrows and made a strange stare at the corpse. Then he picked up Haq's pistol. Killer had rubber gloves on his hands, so with no hesitation he snatched Haq's neck to ensure his death.
Killer wasn’t in condition to afford speaking because security cameras were very near. Both, corpse and killer, were in the blind spot. If cameras recorded his words, then it could turn a nightmare for him.
He had a look on wound made by bullets on his corpse and then made a silent laugh…
