PROLOGUE FOUR: IN THE NAME OF OUR FAMILY

----------------------------------------

Around 700 years ago, in the year 1325:

Minutes after the entirety of the Dragel meeting has ended, the new Merrow King, Aldion Oceanus, holds his grandson's shoulders tightly. "I don't know why you are doing this, Almeer Oceanus, but thank you from the bottom of my heart. For the family's sake, for Dragel's sake, thank you. As the new King of Nevarah, I commend you to be the Earth's Merrow Prince. And in the name of our family, I commend you for potentially sacrificing yourself and your new circle to protect Earth's Oceans."

Almeer grasps his grandfather's wrists and quickly hugs him. "You shouldn't keep them waiting, grandfather. I'll send you messages if I see anything amiss. You shall always have my heart. And don't let my mother know until you are in Nevarah, I'm afraid she will stupidly try to join me. At this rate, I will be your only grandchild and that would be a very sad end to the new King's line." He lets go of his grandfather and stands proudly next to his small, but mighty circle. He holds the hand of a young boy in his right hand while placing the left on the obviously pregnant stomach of the Merrow next to him. Two baby Merrow are held in the hands of a female Merrow on the other side of the new Prince.

After everyone willing has ported off Earth, anyone left nods to each other before porting away to their given safe houses. Almeer brings out his pale blue wings that have the tiniest bit of iridescence on them before picking up and tossing the boy high in the air. After catching the boy, Almeer says, "Let us go and find our new home. I don't want to have to sleep on the land if I have any choice about it. Embelia, find your way to the nearest ocean. That should give us plenty of space to work with..."
