chapter 3 A normal beginning

Sadly the Minor Refinement Realm is the peek to which he can effectively and carefully train her too, less he risk involving his precious daughter in a blood filled childhood; an Era of Death and Grievances.

The next day, around 10am, Yue’er was sitting in her room, deciding whether to wear tight close fitting clothing without obstructions in her movements, or free and lose fitting clothing she enjoyed wearing more, which made her feel free an unrestrained.

She read that comfort in both battle and training had an effect of the practitioner in the lower realms of Martial Arts and this also affects her fighting and training style in the lower realms. Upper realms have less minor limitations to worry about, but in these lower levels of the Martial way, as it was stated moments ago, it will affect a portion of her direction in the way she handles herself in both the present and future.

It’s not that she didn’t think her father had his own idea and thoughts on this, she just believed that it’s possible her father may be testing her on this particular decision. There were definitely no hints or clues as to where she had this feeling, but she wasn’t particularly worried that she was wrong. She had an epiphany on this topic when she remembered a book her father had her read when she was 3, her memory being as extraordinary as it is, she clearly remembered it vaguely touching on the subject.

Stating in more detail, but basically pointing to this breakdown of information,

Clothing can define a person’s character and personality.

It can also relate to how one carries oneself.

Don’t miss the minor details; because they’re all telltale signs of a person’s character.

As of this moment, she decided on the lose fitting clothing or free-styled at the very least.

The decision was simply because it didn’t feel right to do what seemed appropriate, for whatever reason, that is how she felt. Like a non-conformist, getting told she were wrong, but her mind telling her to trust her instincts and do as she pleases.

She wore clothing with a mixed flavour of cultural preference, but all shared a similar trait besides being loose fitting or similar, yet different; free. Other than the trait’s, another thing stood out; Black. Everything was black or at least a dark colour, the only contrasting thing was a green tear shaped object hanging around her neck. It was made from green stone, or Nephrite Jade, but even more so, was both brilliant and dark.

It was both green in colour, but had other colours mixed within naturally. But if you took a serious look and waited, at a certain point and only for a moment, you would notice something that…seemed to look back at you, with an intent you wouldn’t feel, but it appeared to contain much more power than you would believe a small stone should.

The stone has many secrets, but they will not be known for a long time to come.

Once she was ready, she went out of her room and towards the dining room, to get her breakfast. Although the rest of her families literally do not need to eat, does not mean they won’t and with the inclusion of Yue’er, they decided to always have breakfast and dinner with her daily, everyone very rarely skipping out. Thus making her feel the love she receives more than many other families like hers would give In this world.

“Yue’er, god morning” everyone at the dining table spoke up, Chris being the opener.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

“Good morning grandfather” she replied happily, giving a cute smile to Chris who smiled back with adoring love.

“Come sit by mother and father Yue’er” Celia said, patting a chair in-between herself and Lin Jian.

“En” Yue’er replied to her mother with a nod and walked towards her mother and father, before reaching her seat, she look to see her beloved grandmother, whom she felt shy around, but surely loved. She didn’t see her however and felt somewhat sad which showed on her face briefly, but soon returned to her adorable smiling face that just makes one want to hug and protect her.

Lin caught on to the slight change in expression, and immediately understood what she was thinking. “Don’t feel sad Yue’er, Your grandmother is in the middle of surveying our surroundings, and will return later tonight for dinner.” Lin Jian told her reasuring her in his usual stiif and formal tone.

Hearing this, the smile Yue’er held immediately brightened 10 fold And caused all of those at the table to take a pause. Celia’s thoughts were in a strange and dangerous place all of a sudden,

Celia “since when did my adorable little Yue become a boy? It... it’s like she’s fallen in love with mother…. No Yue’er…you Can’t!!”

Chris was thinking in a similar direction

Chris “Ah.. my wife, I hope you don’t try and seduce your granddaughter any further…sigh”

Lin Jian was thinking in another direction

Lin Jian“hoh~ Black…and loose, nor too lose... it seems she understood, though… when did I even hint towards anything?”

“Mother, What are we having for breakfast?” Yue’er asked, with her eyes resting on Celia, who immediately snapped out of her delusional thoughts.

“You’ll have to ask your father after all, he’ll be training with you from now on.” Celia replied all motherly like.

“ok.” Immediately turning towards her father, and repeated the question, only towards her father this time.

“ha ha, no need to worry, it’s the first day and father will only be getting you into a routine. Eat as much as you usually do. How about Beast meat to start” said Lin Jian in both a serious fatherly tone, with a subtle bit of jest within.

All of a sudden the room went cold, as they heard some sniffling. Yue’er was crying!

Immediately Celia asked as gently as she could “what’s wrong Yue’er?”

Not knowing what made Yue’er cry all of a sudden.

“fa-fathers trying to make Yue-er faaaat~” as more tears came out, she turned to hug her mother not knowing that Yue’er was reading a story about Beast meat making people fat the night before and that a part Yue’er missed, because she was tired and went to sleep, about it only being like that for people who don’t train on the next chapter in Martial Arts.

Celia looked at Lin Jian as if he was the ultimate enemy all of a sudden, but not knowing what Yue’er was actually referring to, she held her thoughts back and continued to try and calm the 5 year old Yue’er, her daughter.

It really was a surprise, because after all these years, Yue’er has only cried 3 times including the day she was born and the other 2 where from injuries when falling and getting hurt. Her parents knew when to change and feed her as a child to keep her happy, so they never had to worry about such a thing as tears, but all of a sudden she was crying because eating beast meat would make her fat… it was surely a shock.

Chris was waiting to begin breakfast, but when he heard Yue’er crying, he waited for her to finish her explanation and although understanding what she was talking about, decided to wait till she calmed down, and she done so rather quickly… Childs tears, especially a little girls are dangerous, her father almost became her mothers nem-. …he immediately threw that thought to the back of his head.

“Yue’er, are you talking about the book grandfather gave you a little while ago?” Chris asking kindly with a small hint of interest, as if it was true. If it was however, he wouldn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

“En” Yue’er nodded seriously. With still watering eyes.

“Then there’s no need to worry, you must have stopped one chapter to early. The next one explain how to absorb the beasts’ strength through the meat and erase the fat inducing toxins from it, allowing you to become stronger." After Chris said so, he suddenly felt a chill, it was the glare from his daughter.... with a hidden sigh

Chris "Guess I'll have to make it up to Y-... both of them....later... I was right, tears are dangerous. 40, 000 years have taught me little. these 5 years have been the most dangerous."

Lin Jian Not knowing whether to laugh or cry just coughed dryly.

Lin Jian "Yue'er....pl...please don't make it to hard for father... father will make the training a little less stric- NO, this is just me chickening out, I must train my daughter properly, she's a good girl....after all, this is almost the first time she's cried.....uh-...not good. I must train Yue'er properly, but also be weary not to allow her tears to continue... or this could be ba- AH! CELIA, Her eyes!...I- I didn't do it! Father-in-Law gave her the book!!!........................"

"Yue'er, please forgive father. Father didn't mean to make you think that way, Father only said so to allow you to absorb the bit's of strength within and during training, father will show you how to remove the fat inducing toxins appropriately." as sternly as he could. it was clear he was being serious, but his fatherly side showed through, when he was gently looking her in the eyes, that where hidden almost behind her mothers shoulder.
