After circling twice over the Mu Household's airspace, the flying carriages elegantly landed inside the designated landing space. The Mu Household's servants busily strutted around, making all necessary arrangements to receive the princess.
Now that the Flying Phoenix Carriage had landed, the onlookers could finally lay their eyes upon the majestic creatures that pulled the vehicle. Standing 3m tall, the proud-looking creature was the Turquoise Feathered Luan, a close relative of the legendary but now-extinct Phoenix! With a tall neck, sleek body, a pair of majestic wings, and eyes that seemingly looked down upon the world in disdain; there was no creature prouder than the Turquoise Feathered Luan.
"This...! Rank 5 Aura!!" Someone within the crowd let out a gasp chockfull with shock. His shout caused exclamations to break out as everyone looked at the creatures with renewed gazes; terror included in their midst.
Not only was the Turquoise Feathered Luan a proud creature but it was also a veritable Rank 5 Wild Beast! A genuine powerhouse!!
Seemingly having detected the awe and terror experienced by the crowd, the flock of majestic creatures let out a disdainful snort and turned their heads away. Just this simple reaction spoke volumes about the species' proud nature.
Just as the initial commotion faded away, the important personages of the Mu Household gathered in the courtyard. Yuelong and his mother, Bai Xiulan, the first wife and Eldest Mistress of the Mu Household stood at the forefront of the receiving party. Behind the two of them stood the other wives and children of Sovereign Mu as everyone waited for the princess to disembark the vehicle.
Not intending to keep their future in-laws waiting, the doors of the central carriage opened and out stepped a slim and elegant figure. And at that very instant, the world seemed to grow a few shades dimmer.
Everyone felt their breaths getting caught in their throats. Their eyes grew glazed and lost.
A beauty. An absolute world-toppling, time-stopping beauty had stepped out of the carriage. Her head of silver hair was primly bounded into a queenly knot, letting only a portion neatly cascade down their back. Her face could be said to be the work of the God of Craftsmanship for one could not imagine a more perfect set of features to exist.
A tall height, alabaster skin, elegant long legs, ample chest, well-rounded buttocks, and an aura that oozed valour and dignity... the young woman was the epitome of beauty, grace, and nobility. She was as perfect as perfection could be.
Even Bai Xiulan, a beauty who was not a bit inferior to this young woman, felt her heart being moved at the sight of her. The reactions of the others need not even be mentioned.
Just as everyone found themselves lost in the beauty of the young woman, the latter had arrived before the welcoming party. She gracefully performed a light bow and greeted, "Feng Tianfei greets Eldest Mother-in-Law and the other members of the Mu Household." She wore a polite smile.
Startled out of their daze by her smooth, silken voice, the members of the receiving party hurriedly greeted back. "We greet the Scared Daughter."
Although Feng Tianfei was both the Sacred Daughter and the Crown Princess of the Heavenly Spirit Empire, the weight of her former title held more importance than the latter. Therefore, she had been welcomed as such.
Having greeted her elders, Tianfei then turned towards her future husband-to-be. Bowing once again, she said, "Tianfei greets the Son of the Heavens."
Yuelong wore a wry smile on his face and greeted back, "Yuelong greets the Sacred Daughter."
The others saw this scene –a devastatingly handsome man and a world-shaking beauty smiling at each other— and felt, 'Truly! An immortal-like couple!' It was simply the most perfect picture to exist.
With the initial greeting done, the Eldest Mistress quickly ordered. "Let us head inside now." Everyone obeyed and turned around to walk back in.
As they walked, Tianfei, who followed at the very back of the crowd, suddenly leaned towards Yuelong, who walked next to her and whispered into his ears. "How is it?"
Knowing exactly what she was asking him, Yuelong helplessly shook his head and laughed a hollow laughter. "I'll show it to you later."

No more lines were exchanged between the two and the party silently headed towards the ceremony place.

Somewhere within the Mu Household.
At the same time as the Scared Daughter's greeting, another greeting took place.
"Mu Wudi greets the Heaven Gazing Fairy." Sovereign Mu wore a polite smile on his face and greeted the masked woman in front of him.
"The pleasure is all mine, Patriarch Mu," the masked woman replied in a neutral voice that bellied nothing. Casting an inquisitive glance at her counterpart, she continued, "I see that your aura has grown even more indiscernible."
"Fairy's gaze is as sharp as ever," replied Sovereign Mu. "I simply chanced upon a few events that led to this change." He explained cryptically.
"All fortunate events, I should hope," said the Heaven Gazing Fairy.
"Fairy can rest assured. This Wudi hasn't lost his sharpness just yet."
The two Sovereigns spoke no more and remained studying each other. Their respective auras continuously fluctuated; seemingly testing the other. After a minute of silent, wordless confrontation, both parties retrieved their auras and intents.
The Heaven Gazing Fairy immediately spoke. "Apologies to Patriarch Mu. This was merely a simple test. I do not mean to offend you."
"If you do not want to offend me, why bother with the so-called test at all?" Patriarch Mu snorted. He then shook his head and said, "Let it all be water underneath the bridge. I do not want to quarrel on this joyous day."
"Patriarch Mu's magnanimity puts me to shame," Heaven Gazing Fairy perfunctorily replied.
Waving his hands, Patriarch Mu summoned two chairs to appear. The two Sovereigns then took their seats and continued with their conversation.
"Where is that weasel? Have you managed to figure out what he is doing?" asked Patriarch Mu.
Shaking her head, the Heaven Gazing Fairy replied, "I have not. All I know is that he has burrowed himself in the North and hasn't moved from there in the last twenty years."
Hearing her reply, Patriarch Mu's eyes grew sharper. "That bastard is not one to uselessly waste his time. He is surely up to something nefarious over there."
The Heaven Gazing Fairy did not make any comments. She knew of the irresolvable hatred between Sovereign Mu and Fang Gu, the Scarlet Demon Sovereign.
"How about we both team up and rid this world of that demon forever?" Patriarch Mu boldly proposed. Fighting spirit and killing intent shone within his eyes.
At his proposal, the Heaven Gazing Fairy quietly shook her head. "It would be a pointless exercise. Both of us know that within the Domain of a Sovereign, one is both undefeatable and unkillable. Not only will the both of us lose by going but there is also a chance that we might lose our lives."
"Is that weasel really that strong?" Patriarch Mu asked with barely hidden disdain. The Scarlet Demon was a Sovereign and they were Sovereigns too. Surely, the difference between them could not be that significant.
Hearing this question, the Heaven Gazing Fairy, who never showed an ounce of emotion or intent, suddenly grew solemn. "Sovereign Mu, do not underestimate the Scarlet Demon Sovereign. You have merely ascended to the throne thirty years ago and have held it for the same amount of time. The Scarlet Demon, on the other hand, has been a Sovereign for double that period."
"I agree that your strength and talent are peerless. You are the youngest Sovereign to ever exist and also a Star that managed to establish the [Fortune Path], a figure rarely seen throughout history. However, if you think that such achievements are enough to cement yourself as the strongest, then I must warn you; you are in over your head!"
"The Scarlet Demon Sovereign is a figure that even I dare not take lightly. He started from nothing, not even possessing the talent to become a Sovereign, and yet managed to climb to the height where he is today. He is devious, sinister, insidious, and cunning. However, what is most frightening about him is his complete and utter lack of a bottom line."
"He is a person who would do anything, and I mean anything, to further his goals. He is a ruthless demon!"
Patriarch Mu scoffed at her words and remained quiet. He possessed his pride and it did not allow him to praise his opponent like how the Heaven Gazing Fairy praised the Scarlet Demon Sovereign.
Seeing his reaction, the Heaven Gazing Fairy inwardly sighed and said nothing. She understood that those who hadn't witnessed the Scarlet Demon Sovereign's rise to power, like her, would not believe her words and continue to underestimate him. What they did not know, or perhaps, did not want to admit, was that such underestimation was precisely a scheme by the Scarlet Demon Sovereign to get his opponents to lower their guard against him.
'He is someone whom even the Heaven Scheming Devil did not want to deal with. This is a form of recognition and respect by the Heaven Scheming Devil. And those who have been recognized by the Devil are... monsters that should never be provoked!' She thought to herself.
Again, explaining this to Patriarch Mu would be useless. After all, he hadn't even been born yet when the Heaven Scheming Devil was rampaging around the world unhindered.
'Alas, such is the curse of long life,' she tiredly sighed. The Heaven Gazing Fairy was the oldest and strongest amongst all denizens of this world. She had eaten more rice than others had salt. In terms of knowledge and worldly experience, she was unrivalled.
As the saying goes, 'Those that carry knowledge are often burdened by it. Ignorance is bliss.'
Unwilling to continue discussing this issue the two Sovereigns moved on to other lighter topics. Time passed and soon, the two of them perked their heads at the same time.
"It seems that it's time for us to appear."
"Indeed."
The two of them stood up at the same time and disappeared with a puff.
