The elderly woman took his coins without hesitation, but she eyed him with great curiosity.
“Why would someone from your status purchase these potions after everything I have told you?”
“My status?” Percy snickered and added with a shrug, “It shouldn’t matter to you for what purpose I purchase your potions. I’m paying the price. That completes the transaction.”
He stared deep into the vibrant emerald eyes of the elderly woman, “If you want to know why, how about you start telling me who you are? I don’t think Gifted Ones with vibrant emerald eyes are common, even in the capital. Do you want me to–...”
The elderly woman raised her hands, “There is no need to do anything.”
“You are no fun, kiddo,” She sneered.
“I never tried to be funny.”
The elderly lady’s tongue clicked in displeasure, but she handed Percy all the potions. He paid for everything and ignored the displeasure in the elderly lady’s eyes as he turned around.
“I’m Percy, and my shop is two streets ahead. It’s called Dragon Lair. I’d like to purchase more potions from you, but I won’t answer any personal questions if you keep your identity hidden. I think that’s fair.”
Percy didn’t wait for the elderly woman’s response and walked off. He returned to his little shop and walked past the shopping area to reach the staircase to the second floor. As he ascended the flight of stairs, Percy retrieved one of the poisoned potions and used [Consume] on Prosperity.
Healing Potion – Poisoned

He licked his lips and reached for the crimson thread connected to [Food Poisoning] with his mental power, and…nothing happened. Nothing happened for the first few seconds. Percy reached the top of the staircase and stopped in his tracks to search for changes, but there was nothing. Until his hands cracked and the abomination, in its slimmest form, burst out of his palm.
The abomination surged toward the potion’s cap, squeezing through it to reach the viscous, red shimmering liquid. The abomination engulfed the liquid and consumed the harmful substances within them. Percy could instinctively sense what his Ego was doing and smiled.
It devoured the [Food Poisoning] property without leaving anything behind.
[Healing Potion’s [Food Poisoning] has been detected and consumed.]
[42 Prosperity has been added.]
“Nice!” Percy exclaimed as the notification popped up. He could not only remove harmful prosperities, but instead of consuming Prosperity points, he received them.
That was much better than expected, urging Percy to repeat the process with all Illness-inducing and poisoned potions.
He licked his lips in excitement, accessed his magical spatial ring, and retrieved everything he’d acquired from today’s ‘hunt.’
First, Percy removed Bert’s forged goods from the spatial ring to sort them in the living room. Since he had no furniture, the living room was big enough to spread everything out neatly. He separated the goods into several categories. First, he separated all weapons, accessories, and armor. Then he added a subcategory to split them according to their quality.
This is so much better than expected. I love this!
He exclaimed in his mind before doing the same with the potions he’d procured. Most of the elderly woman’s potions were Health, Stamina, and Mana Potions, but he acquired a few Regeneration Potions, Mana Boost Potions, and three Love Potions. Though, he wasn’t sure how the latter worked. Maybe he wouldn’t sell them to avoid future problems with the authorities. That was probably for the best.
I am going to get rich soon!
He snickered and started to get working.
First, I should remove all harmful substances.

…
The sight of dozens of non–poisonous potions unfolded before him once his Ego consumed all harmful properties. It was a wonderful sight, but Percy wasn’t done yet. On the contrary, he was just getting started. Removing the harmful properties was just the beginning of something great.
The start of his little Dragon Lair emporium.
With what should I start? Probably by increasing my Prosperity a little.
He nodded slowly and made the next move. The abomination of his Ego emerged from his palm as he retrieved a few gold coins from his spatial ring.
[Three Gold Coins have been consumed. 33,000 Prosperity has been added.]
Percy approved the notification but checked his personal interface to see if everything was going as he’d intended.

He nodded again and approached the forged iron armaments first. [Consume] was already used on Prosperity, allowing Percy to get started right away. He did that as he approached the first batch of items.

Percy didn’t know what kind of runic enchantment [Signal] was, but he followed his gut feeling and engraved it on a pair of rings. Finding out what [Signal] could do didn't take long. Percy accessed the two Runic Rings and perceived different frequencies from them as he channeled mana into the enchantment.
He summoned the Gnoll Warrior, gave him one of the runic rings to wear, and told him to go downstairs while channeling mana into the runic ring. Percy sensed the Gnoll Warrior through his connection with the Monster Card, but by focusing on the frequencies, he could also locate him.
Percy called the Gnoll Warrior back and adjusted the frequencies to overlap. He closed his eyes and ordered the Gnoll Warrior to walk around with one of the runic rings in its claws. Percy temporarily severed his connection with the Monster Card but could still tell where the Gnoll Warrior was. The runic ring told him Hyean’s exact position.
“That should be useful for Adventurers in fights or if they get lost. The rings, as long as their frequency is the same, will pull them together.
Percy was satisfied with the expenses. The iron rings weren’t expensive to create, and it was a fact that the enchantment wasn’t anything special. However, that transformed them into valuable Artifacts from Percy’s point of view. They were cheap to create with his Ego. However, the same couldn’t be said about Engravers. They would have a much harder time engraving a runic enchantment like [Signal] on a mere iron ring.
The time and effort to do so would be wasted on them. They would never waste their time like that. But Percy was different. He didn’t spend any time engraving the runic enchantment. His Ego did all the work. All Percy did was to spend his Prosperity.
He giggled and continued working.

The Perfect Quality dagger was much more expensive to enchant, but Percy was more than fine with that. If anything, he was happy about it. After all, the increased price indicated that he could engrave runic enchantments of higher potency on the Perfect Quality Iron Dagger!
Percy found himself addicted to engraving the iron armaments that he consumed most of his Prosperity when he was done. He retrieved two more gold coins from his pouch, consumed them, and Ego-enhanced the potions of the elderly woman. He didn’t unlock any new properties since that would be too expensive, but he focused on the potions’ potency and existing properties.
Ego-enhancing potions were something Percy had yet to do more actively, but it was very interesting. He would love to Ego-enhance more potions in the future. However, for now, Percy had to focus on earning more money rather than wasting his entire fortune on fooling around.
But now that I think about it…what will I highlight as my shop’s main attraction?
