Ye Jiao moved her body to a sitting position once they have left. Her breath was in disorder because she had to use all of the power inside her body to withstand the pressure. However, her eyes didn’t show any trace of weakness whatsoever.
All that she showed was eyes filled with determination.
“Wang Jun,” Mu Hong called.
“Yes, Sir,” Wang Jun appeared before Mu Hong swiftly. He looked quite angry at the treatment that Ye Jiao received, but he was not in the position to interfere. If he dared to do anything, Wei Shang would be glad to kick him out of the army. His position was simply too low.
“Take her to here,” Mu Hong handed a paper to Wang Jun.
Seeing the content of the paper, Wang Jun was stunned. It was a place that he didn’t expect Mu Hong to allow Ye Jiao to come to. However, he wouldn’t ask this general for his reason. There was no need to dig his early grave on his own.
Wang Jun approached Ye Jiao. “Miss, please pardon me.”
“I can walk just fine.”
“There’s a place that General Mu wants you to see.”
“What?” Ye Jiao was suspicious, but before she could react, Wang Jun have scooped her up and dashed through the training camp. This time, Wang Jun used his Eon Energy to speed up his movement, making him moved even faster than before.
Ye Jiao was annoyed. With this person’s strength, she wouldn’t be able to get out of his grip. And in this speed, she might die if she fell down to the ground. Because of that, she focused her attention to the power that Wang Jun exerted.
‘This should be slightly weaker than Dad, so perhaps, rank 2?’
She assessed the power of this young soldier as she scrutinized his face. This man was quite young, around 17 or 18 of age. With the power he showed, he should have a rather good talent, which around blue or light blue. After all, to be able to reach rank 2 before the age of 20 could only come from light blue or above talent.
Her train of thoughts stopped when Wang Jun stopped his movement. By then, the two of them have arrived before a large residence. The wall was painted in bright cream and red color. With the numerous plants around them, it gave off the feeling of peace and at the same time, spirit.
“Jun Ge, what are you doing here?”
The female voice caused Ye Jiao to turn her head around. She could see a young girl around the age of 11 with blue hair standing not far from her. The icy aura around the person caused Ye Jiao to recall a girl that she met more than a year ago.

“Senior Mu?”
The girl, Mu Xin, looked at Ye Jiao. “Who are you?”
“Ah, I’m Ye Jiao,” Ye Jiao replied. Wang Jun had placed her back on the ground as the girl stared at the young girl before her.
“Ye Jiao as in that famous name?” Mu Xin arched her eyebrows.
Ye Jiao nodded her head. She was thankful that Mu Xin didn’t blatantly said the word ‘trash’ because that was how people termed her most of the time. “Yes.”
Mu Xin glanced at Ye Jiao up and down. There was nothing special in this girl before her, but her father would never let just anyone come to their residence.
“Have we met before?”
“Senior Mu helped me when I came to visit the academy around a year ago,” Ye Jiao answered.
Mu Xin furrowed her brows slightly. She could not remember that time at all. There were a lot of things that occurred in the school every single day, making her unable to remember the detail for each and every one of them.
“Miss Xin, your father left this message for you,” Wang Jun showed the piece of paper that Mu Hong gave to him not long ago.
Mu Xin read the content before returning it back to Wang Jun. “Tell father that I understand. You can leave now, Jun Ge.”
“Yes, Miss.”
Ye Jiao watched Wang Jun disappeared before turning her head to Mu Xin once again, clearly didn’t understand what was going on.
Mu Xin pointed to the house behind them. “Follow me inside. I’ll tell you.”
“Yes.”
The house was big from the outside, but seeing it from inside made it seemed to be much bigger than from outside. There were not many items around, but they were placed in a way that would make one felt comfortable.
Ye Jiao followed after Mu Xin through several corridors before they arrived by a large room. Her eyes widened when she sensed the massive amount of Eon Energy in the room. In the next second, her attention was placed on the several wooden weapons and pillars in the middle of the room.
“This is my training room,” Mu Xin said. “My Father wants you to practice with me, but I don’t like to practice with other people.”
She wouldn’t look down at Ye Jiao because of her infamous name. It was just part of her nature that she disliked to train with other people. There were a lot of people who tried to get close to her because of her talent. She was fed up with them.
What she wanted was to train to become stronger and even stronger. Those people who only knew how to bootlick people made her disgusted.
“Practice with you?” Ye Jiao’s eyes widened. She didn’t expect that general to make such an arrangement to her. From the way she saw that general before, he seemed to be someone who followed after the rule strictly and hated children. He even rejected training Wei Cheng despite the latter came to him personally.
“Yes,” Mu Xin said in flat tone.
Ye Jiao glanced around for a few seconds. “General Mu tells me that children shouldn’t practice martial arts before forming their core, but you practice them.”
“I only learn the basic plus basic combat,” Mu Xin answered. “Spar with me. If you can win, I won’t bother you anymore.”
“That won’t do,” Ye Jiao didn’t want to lose the chance to practice with Mu Xin. From the way Wei Liao and Wei Mi behaved around this girl before, she could guess that Mu Xin was quite powerful herself. The chance to come and practice with this cold girl didn’t come that easy.
“What do you want?”
“I want to practice together with you,” Ye Jiao replied.
Mu Xin frowned. “If you hinder my practice, I’ll still kick you out. Is that clear?”
“Yes.”
“Let’s start.”
