Scan have a very weird property. When I Scan some object I made, I could literally feel it. Like it becomes part of me. I can sense everything of it, weigh, temperature, size, everything.
Scanning other objects could give some of these informations too, but compared to things made by me, it is like measuring it with ruler, it feels somehow distant. Whatever, using simultaneously Scan on two objects (my current limit) allows me to copy it perfectly.
Quite handful when you need to make ammo casing and bullet, isn't it?
Material for cases was iron mixed with nickel.
Iron is the metal I have the highest amount of and nickel adds a desired firmness.
And also reduces corrosion.
I made two types of bullets, standard FMJ and AP, with mandrel consisting of hardened high carbonated steel.
I still haven't had solved the problem with gunpowder. The problem was that, the burning-retarder produces too much residual carbon, which would be harmful to the weapon. My next idea was to rub the tar with saltpeter as well as anti-sticking agent, charcoal. I tried several mixtures and the best result wielded the 50% of saltpeter for both agents.
I filled one primer with TMDD, stuck it to the casing and filed it with gunpowder.
Then put it into safe place and remotely detonated it.
*Puff*
I waited one minute, and came to look at it.
The primer wasn't able to ignite propelant.
[Oh I'm so stupid]
I forgot to add secondary explosive and the primer alone isn't strong enough to fire the gunpowder.
Only explosive, I could have used as secondary and actually had it was nitrocellulose. Pressed nitrocellulose is a very strong explosive, that doesn't need too much initial energy to detonate.
I pressed the small block of it on the primer casing and repeated the test again.
*Boom*
This time it worked. I Scanned the casing.
[Hmmm, no significant failure of integrity, small amount of residual carbon... Alright, now I have ammo. And I made it myself]
"Am I not just amazing, huh?! Whoever can make properly working cartridge in a fucking damned forest. Me!! Hahaha YESSSS HORAY, I DID IT, I REALLY DID IT. FUCK YEAHHH HAHAHA HECK, this deserves a bottle of nice alcohol, only if I had one : ("
To celebrate this glorious moment, I ate some sweets I kept just for special occasions. And this really was special occasion. To produce working ammo really needs a lot of knowledge, resources, effort and skills. And I did it. This day, was the day I become independent to the Weird entity up there. The day I become really dangerous bastard, using weapon that could kill from almost half kilometer afar. The day I finished with surviving and started living. Like a human.
"So let's test it with my rifle"
I took an empty magazine, loaded it with ten rounds and put it into the rifle. Pulled the lever back. The receiver responded with satisfying *clack*. Then released the lever.

*Clock
I took the stance and looked through the colimator, which was currently turned off so I used the iron sights. I found appropriate target (cone) and slowly pulled the trigger.
*Boom
And again.
*Boom
Then turned the selector to double shot.
*BoBoom
And finally, full auto.
*Tadadadadadaaa
"Heeeh, niiice"

I regret those who never feels it.
So when you will have some chance to try shooting at full auto, don't hesitate and use this chance. Even if it shall cost you a fortune.
