Benjamin’s POV:

The area was silent. It took a while for anyone to speak but quickly that silence was ruined by everyone asking questions at once.
”Shut Up!” The scream came from a sergeant that had arrived unnoticed by everyone else.
“Lieutenant Malik of Numara’s Armed Response Division and possibly even the Captain of Tariel’s Armed Response Division are on the way as we speak. I have received order for all of us here to identify and tinker around to find as much information as we can about this system. Aditionally this case has been declared a purple level case. That’s all for now.”
With that the sergeant turned around and headed back out front to await the coming senior officers.
Meanwhile I went off and asked permission to inform my sister that her restaurant wouldn’t be opening today. I received permission and went in search of my sister to give her the bad news.

Unable to find her I eventually decided to ring her. She finally picked up during my second time ringing her.
”Sis, bad news.”
I began to say only to be interrupted.
”Ben just hurry up and spill, I am about to head down and open the restaurant up.”
Quickly before she could continue I told her about the days events so far.
”Sis, I don’t know if you heard but there was a shooting in the backyard of the restaurant. There was an armed police pursuit and the suspect tried to scale the wall and escape across the roof of the restaurant. I was there at the time so I opened the gate for the armed officers with my keys. Sadly the pursuit ended violently, one officer was injured and the suspect was killed.”
I took a quick breather and a sip of water from my bottle before I continued.
”The problem is there has been a few major complications. They are so serious that uncle is being flown down in a helicopter to take charge of the situation.”
Taking another gulp of cold water as the weather was abnormally hot.
“In conclusion the restaurant certainly won’t be operating today and I wouldn’t be optimistic of opening until mid week at the earliest.”
”Great.”
Was all the Response I got before she hung up on me. I didn’t take it personally as I know my sister very well. She’s not being rude it’s just that she is very passionate about her restaurant.
Finally I returned to where the rest of the cops involved in the situation where gathered chatting with each other while trying to figure out the new system thingy.
