“Kueheeok!”
Elias dropped to the ground while being asphyxiated. His eyes became blurry and his ears could no longer perceive sound. Blood trickled down his nostrils and ears, but still his spirit didn’t want it to end like this.
He staggered a bit but he stood back up and glared right back at the embodiment of death itself which stood right in front of him.
I have to kill him. I have been preparing for this moment. So, why can’t I find the motivation? Why aren’t my legs moving? My breathing.. I’m getting out of breath.
Elias stood at the face of despair and wondered. He had to kill him to end this war, but it seemed like all his courage had been sucked out of him. Still, that was no excuse.

The dark aura emitted by Aramelion was pushed back by the [Dark Eruption]. The auras collided in mid air, and Elias leapt forward.
“Arrghh!!” His roar echoed throughout the battlefield.
Punch! Punch!
He punched Aramelion…
Fwoosh!!
He tried casting his black flames…
“Sigh..Sigh..”
But nothing worked.
Elias still didn’t give up. He used everything he.
He used his [Fire Storm] which after enhanced by his perks melted Aramelion’s tough skin. Then he used the power of his level 100 stat components and punched Aramelion again using his [Blaze] Skill.
He finally summoned what remaining magic power he had and condensed it with patience. Bright red sparks appeared all around him. His body felt like it was on fire, but still he kept condensing magic. He couldn’t possibly stop it. He thought of the things he had to protect; his mother and sister who were praying for his safety; his grandma who had been a mentor to him and taught him various battle strategies. He couldn’t possibly disappoint her can he? She diverted the five generals and would be fighting against them by herself.
He had trained for this day, this moment, with a single focus for months now. He had to make sure all those times he cast his magic weren’t in vain.
And so, he activated his ultimate skill.

“You fucking goblin! Diieeee!!” He roared to power up his magic.
PEWWW!!!!
A powerful laser beam powered by the sun’s energy, passed through the air. It blinded anyone who dared to look at it. It quickly neared Aramelion. He sensed something lethal and reflexively raised both his arms to guard against it.
In the next moment, the burning and tearing of flesh could be heard. Someone’s horrifying screams could also be heard. But it stopped.
“Ah, you made me use my Reviving Pill. You fucking peasant!”
The Reviving Pill. The Host-Gods will only give their prophets one of those. He had to use that to return from life. Which meant Elias had killed Aramelion.
Elias, having exhausted his mana, staggered. His weakened legs failed to support him, but before he could fall, Aramelion approached him with his elegant walk. He raised his hand.
Chop!
His hand struck Elias’ shoulder.
Thud!
….His right arm got severed and dropped to the ground.
“Uwaaaahhh!” He screamed and writhed in pain, but no one came to his rescue. Why was that though?
Oh that was why.. The battle’s outcome was decided. The entire battlefield was covered in corpses and the ground was tainted in crimson red. Many soldiers died a dog’s death. While a small minority could be seen still struggling. Goblin banners spread throughout the battlefield stuck on the ground. Almost everyone fighting in this war had died. Goblins and Humans alike. It is already a win when you think about it. Hundred thousand goblins resisted by only a few thousand Humans.
Avina and Lucas helped each other stand up while looking at the gruesome sight. All dragons had perished and a few giants remained.
“Nngh.. I have to do this.” Lucas struggled to stand up and groaned painfully. Almost all his ribs had shattered. His internal organs were also punctured. Still, he had to do this. He was the only person who at least some of his mana left after all. Avina struggled with pain due to her broken neck and bones. Blood flowed non-stop from her left eye.
She couldn’t tell him to give up because her voice box had been broken along with her neck, so she could only tighten the grip on his arm and shake her head.
“No. I’ll do this. I can’t let Humanity perish like this. No not..” He kept mumbling through his breath and finally fainted. Tears flowed from Avina’s eyes before she too, passed out of exhaustion.
Now looking back on the previous scene.
Punch! Punch!
Elias was beaten up by the immense force of Aramelion’s buffed up, magic-imbued arms.
“Urgh..” Elias could only groan in pain as he laid helplessly gasping for air on the ground.
“Hahhaha! I told you, puny human! You should know your place.” Aramelion let out a psychotic laugh every time he punched Elias, but before he could give him another punch, a minacious aura was felt…
“You..”
“!” Aramelion noticed an aura more sinister than death itself and his ears perked up.
A huge surge of wind approached Aramelion and his ears shattered in an instant. “Arrghh! What is this?!” He screamed in pain while clenching his pointy ears tightly.
The figure emitting a sinister aura quickly grabbed Elias in a flash. The figure’s pale, gentle hand worn down by years of rigorous training touched Elias’ cheeks. Elias, having felt a familiar touch, opened his eyes slowly. “...Gran?” Borna’s expression as she treated Elias was unknown. But one thing was clear, she wouldn't let the person who did this leave alive.
Borna stuffed Elias’ mouth with some pills and leapt up from the ground. The screaming Aramelion, now glared at her.
“I, Borna Raymon, Prophet of the Human-God, shall kill you!”
